Have a bbq/picnic with horseshoes, valleyball ect at the VFW park in Fenton for June. Bring the family, your own meat and a dish.

For September we thought we would host a fifties party/sockhop. We have found decos, have contests thought of and would have it at the strat! This early I know I could get a Sat night setup.

Hey Cammie...I love the idea of a 50's sockhop! Get out your poodle skirts! LOL

I host Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, and December....so why not do the sock hop SOONER, like...May or July?? ;O) Why wait till Sept?? LOL

(And this is me assuming you are going to start handling alternate months??) :O))))

Well I would have no problem with that Miss Kat but need steady daytime work hours and have to make sure I don't have my kids on the adult pof dates.

So, I would have Jan, March, May, July, Sept, and November. Hmmm will have to think that over. Or I could help with yours and some of our fellow pofers could step up to the plate....hint hint

Does anyone have any exciting events going on this weekend or know where there is going to be a great party........for those inquiring minds that need to get out and let loose.

yes, I'm being a smarty pants.......hope that everyone shows up there Friday night........so what is on the agenda for Saturday night.........who's playing around town like at BBB, the Phoenix or HOR..........come on, this gal needs to get out and party........don't make me resort to getting my married girlfriends out of the house without their spouses (cause that will only cause problems I'm sure down the road, like when we have to call the spouses to come pick us up cause we are too drunk to drive home). Funny thing is that I never do that when I am out with my single girlfriends. What's up with that?

not sure what's up with us yet Theresa, after hanging out with the crowd Friday night, we just might make it a twosome and hit the movies or something, course I could most likely talk him into for awhile afterwards!

Yeah...I am a-thunking that kids on an adult function just is not a good combo! LOL

BUT...not EVERY POF monthly event has to be at the Strat or even in the evenings, for that matter. I think I will try and make one of them an outdoor event, as well!

Stan...I still think an auction would be super cool, too! But...a LOT of work...something that would need, minimally, months of preparation. The people who are being "auctioned" would be responsible for getting a donation or purchasing their "date package" and with our luck, by the time the event actually rolled around, the people would have met the love of their life or something! LMAO

I read an article on this...and some of the date packages were really cool...a hot air balloon date/picnic...a nice B&B weekend...formal wear rental and a ballroom dancing evening...a winery package...a concert date...etc....very cool ideas and it has potential to raise money for a HUGE shindig! But...not sure how it would be doled out...meaning, all these people who participate in the auction...how could we insure that THEY are the ones who would benefit from the resulting party? I guess it could be done as a ticketed event...you have to have a ticket stub from the auction, to attend the after auction party?? Ideas?? I would LOVE to host something like this!!

Well, if we end up proceeding forth with it...I will count on your help, Stan!

But...I think it would be wrong to auction off someone who was in a relationship! On so many levels! How would you like to bid moolah to go on a date with a special someone who you liked, only to find out there is not a chance in heII with her because she is in a relationship? LOL But yes, it can still be fun to attend, for those folks!

I am thinking about coordinating a pof thing at Wild Country in Collinsville Illiniois on a Friday night. They have $1 longnecks this night as well as a thong competition w/ prizes.

I don't know, what is everyone in the mood for this weekend? I have a 4 day weekend so my weekend will start Thursday, this week and again next week! I am still trying to get my feet recovered from Friday night (word of warning, don't try to break 4 inch heals in at a POF party). But by Thursday I will be ready to party again, actually going out for margaritas with some friends tonight from my dance class after that is over with, and am thinking about Wednesday night joining Sandy and Susie for country line dancing and on the way home from there stopping by to see Honeyvox with you. I can check to see what is going on at BBB and a few other places around.

alright folks I have my kiddos this week and will NOT be going out all week, but by Friday evening after taking them home, I may have to coerce Jerry into a bit of when we get back to the city, someone please text or call me and let me know where you're at so we can join you if it involves dancing!

Saturday morning we're heading to my mom's to help prepare her for big Easter meal at her house the next day, so I'll be hanging out around in my neck of the woods but the following weekend I'll be available for doing something for sure!
