Kat, I'll be thinking about you on Monday and next weekend with all your celebrating going on!

Ambie, have bday as well, wow a cool gift from a bar, now that's my type of gift! I'll be out of town next weekend but you have fun!

Cammie, congrats on the engagement and the moving back in again..hope you're done with that moving stuff for a long while now ;)

We went to six flags today, me Jerry, his daughter and my coworker's daughter, we all had a good time; got nice and wet on Log Ride, I rode the Evil Knieval twice, can't believe it..not bad, way smoother than the Boss! Now out with my friend Laura and whoever cares to join us on this end of town.

Still mulling over the ideal of a Sept party there Miss Kat!

{Oops, Cammie....50's! Dunno if that was a typo or a brainfart?! Oh well! LMAO As far as a Sept party and your finances...just host one! The ballroom is not expected to be decorated all fancy, prizes are not mandatory (and I am sure a few could be rounded up!), and heck...we saved our gorgeous centerpieces which I will happily loan you! ;) In other words...it's not a competition...the next party will not always top the last one! But having one monthly is what needs to occur! (I drive a hard bargain, don't I?) LOL}

Ok if I do sept party what does everyone think about the Sept 27th? It would be held at the strat ect. Would accept donations of prizes and the offer of Kat's generous offer of deco's. DJ or fbg's list of music to play???? Kat you drive a hard bargin lol - thinking I will talk with Steve and prob set one up.

Just let me know peeps what you want and I will see about setting one up for Sept.

Ok, I am going to get a green link up for a September 27th party - if I can clear that date with Steve at the Strat. I will call Steve tomorrow to get setup for this. Kat - will take your offer of deco's. Any offer of prize donations will be greatly appreciated. Will need to talk w/shellie or kat about music setup. The name of the party: September Woo-Hoo- Kids Gone Back to School - Let's Par-tay!!!

Also this will the one year anniversary for Dave and I as we met last year at the Sept meet and greet where I was co-host. And boy did the sparks fly between us then. Teresa had those cards for us sista's to do. One of mine was to get a guys underwear and Dave was the lucky fellow that I was trying to get his underwear but he left before I got them. Now I wash them lol!

Denise - Dave's mom is doing better. Thanks for asking.

Dave said nope on being more sociable (jk).

You might want to check the ceiling fan for Daves underwear...I believe he's been known to leave them up there when the mood hits...

tell that hot hunk of man of yours: (not kidding, LOL)

That's an interesting but suiting name for a bash for the time of year, but not for a sock hop type of event (scratches head, )

The sock hop dance won't be until poss Nov or later. Dave and I are limited on money so that is why we are borrowing Kat's deco's ect.

Dang Teresa forgot about getting them signed!!! But I could if I wanted to now

Thanks for the heads up there shortstack - heck mine now go up there too!

That was a very good answer Kat. I agree with what u said, if someone wants one in a different location they should host it!! If the drive is a problem then plan to stay the night. I think its great that the strat gives us a really good room rate ($35). At least its a place to lay your head.

We will host the September party and are going to try to host the sock hop in November. The way I wrote it in a previous post really confused alot of peeps.
September - Kids gone back to school - Let's Party
November - Sock hop (tentative)
Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.

How does one go about hosting a party? I do not want to do the first one myself I see, if we want a party out here in the St. Charles/Westport area I'd help plan it out.
