If this was done for fun, I haven't found it funny at all......haven't made me laugh once.

I am sorry you did not find any humor at all in my profile.
Not everybody is going to like satire,symbolism,irony,dark humor,innuendo, parody and what I felt was witty humor.
But I must say, if you look at all the previous replies your one of the very few. I also received a number of emails telling me it was one of the most hilarious profile they ever read and so on. | |

It's just outright interesting to read, which is a trait that's surprisingly rare for profiles. | |

The reason is that there are a lot of people on here that like the feeling of superiority they get from telling people their percieved short comings. Its only a minority, a lot of people are positive and measured. Ive noticed a couple of people on here that must sit and do it all day, dishing out relationship advice, profile wording advice etc etc. If they are such experts, what are they doing on here in the first place, lol.
I say keep your profile as you are comfortable with as you are looking for someone compatible with YOU and not someone elses opinion of how you should be seen.

The statement that you are a fascist is probably not something that is going to attract a lot of interest from anyone who had fathers, uncles, grandfathers, or great uncles who who fought in Europe and North Africa against people like you three generations ago.
I agree with any previous poster who said you have some very, very serious problems. | |

the reason i find this so hilarous are all the strange paradoxs within it and the little insights into the person, taking it as the first time i read it i thought it was real.
like how the guy learnt to play gin rummy from a friend but lost all his money to this person and didnt twig why he was loosing. but then fell in love with a lady that beat him at their first game.
and the bit about running where he talks all about the running and then says, with out any pretext or reason for, i dont like running.
it made me laugh out loud.
i really love good satire and i figure the people who dont like it are probably the people who complained when they thought the brass eye specials were real.

I like it alot. I'm not sure how anyone could take it seriously, what with the glaring contradictions, the facism/ spaghetti thing, and how your ex-wife called her kids Ace & Spade.  Oh god, and all the stuff about gin rummy is hesterical! And how 'Forest Gump' inspired you to run 10 miles a day & learn about shrimp... ow, my sides hurt from laughing!
I want to read more.

What is more hilarious to me is that ALLOT of people also though this was a SERIOUS person's profile.
The pictures are of me but the rest is just allot of paradox,satire,social reference,sarcasm, and witty humor writing( I hoped). | |

Not sure if you want to be telling women that in writing...it is like saying you attend Star Trek conventions.
My pictures are of me but of course 90% percent of it is fiction.

Posted: 1/11/2008 6:30:06 PM | | Your profile is ok but it extremely long and most people will not read all that unless they are SUPER interested - which its hard to be when you haven't met someone yet and you're only seeing their photo on the computer screen - but anyway... there is nothing wrong with saying what you want and don't want, thats for sure, but maybe you could cut some stuff out (fillers) so that only the real important "guts" are there and then eventually if you meet the right person you'll have alot of other stuff to talk about... :) | |
