| Does being/becoming overweight influence relationships? Posted: 3/29/2009 10:16:54 AM |
would he have a right to cheat on me or leave me because of that? -- let's not confuse Rights with Preferences -- of course he/she has every right to do what he/she decides is best for him/her. While that doesn't make it right -- it IS what it is -- if both parties agreed to consider each others individual preferences, then it becomes a matter of -- let's call it, Disillusionment when one's expectations aren't met. Again, it's not about Right or Wrong (or infringement on another's rights -- per se) -- it IS, what it is ...

If I settled down with one and then lost weight, would he have a right to cheat on me or leave me because of that?
I had that situation with an X b/f I had always struggled with my weight, finally got diagnosed as having a metabolic/hormonal disorder and put on meds-immediately lost like 40 pounds in 2 months-no change in diet or exercise....
We had a long-distance thing and only saw each other a few times a month and each time he saw me, he would say...why are you loosing weight???? You know I really like your body the way it is!!!...now if it's health related issues, ok... but honestly I don't want you to loose your curves or softness!

| Does being/becoming overweight influence relationships? Posted: 3/29/2009 12:21:56 PM | now this is not in any way at odds with my contention that a slim fit man having married a slim fit bride, is straight away on his honeymoon confronted with the gorging spectre of constant feasting. <div class="quote"> ============================== So on her honeymoon with a member of the fat gestapo, she could not stop eating. What is gorging to you, might not be gorging to her.She should have been eating you but she preferred pies, dont blame her.I feel you have issues with food and weight yourself. Were you overweight once or maybe still are. We transfer the things we hate, about ourselves onto others hmmm.Got some body issues OP.
This thread title just mentions weight but it is mostly aimed at women, like men with big bellies, who cant see their own penis are attractive to all women. All diet ads are aimed at women, is it not equally unhealthy for men to be overweight, especially as they gain cardiac, dangerous belly fat.The pressure for women to be slim are ridiculous, we see all these celeb women, shockingly thin and anorexic or bulimic.Marlyn Monroe was a 16 and supersexy.
Remember those Reubenesque women of the art world. This was the image of beauty of those times.A lot of this "preference" thing is following fashion and another way of controlling women. We see controlling fat nazi husbands, berating their average healthy wives on chat shows to lose weight.Having babies changes a womans shape as does time and hormones. Some people are lucky and can eat what they want. Its a myth that fat people eat loads, a lot dont.I know thin people who eat like horses. Its often genetic.
I am petite, have bottom, hips and boobs, I am not skinny.I keep fit and eat well, but will never be skinny.I dont demand perfection in a man either.I find bad teeth, fetid breath and bad hygiene, way more unattractive than weight gain. Also an obnoxious personality, that judges and shows contempt is very unattractive.Overweight women look way better than overweight men, we carry weight better, men get that bloated ,bullfrog look.Gross obesity is not good in either sex as it will bring about premature death. The health thing mentioned here by men is just a PC excuse though, its all about the look really. That why we women love hairy beerbellies.I hope your wife does not get to read this thread. You know judging and hating on her will just make her eat more. The fact she ate on her honey moon , as supposedly happy time, is unusual, maybe she regretted the wedding.

If I settled down with one and then lost weight, would he have a right to cheat on me or leave me because of that? I don't really know if it's a right or not. People who cheat don't usually worry about what is right/wrong or indifferent ~ but if someone blames their own cheating on a spouse who gains weight, I'd suggest the cheater take a good long look in the mirror. A person can lose weight ~ ugly is permanent and it's not physical ~ it emulates from the inside out.
I am petite, have bottom, hips and boobs, I am not skinny.I keep fit and eat well, Yep. It's more than possible to be petite (or even tiny) and still be curvaceous.
