When he was six years old, CHRIS BARNES already knew he wanted to be a
stand-up comedian. In 1980, he made his first appearance on stage at
Sardino's, a local nite club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ever since then,
this native Milwaukeean has been making his mark on the comedy scene
throughout the Midwest, the South, and the East Coast with his storming
style of humor. He was chosen to perform on the "Pops Talent Jubilee" on
WMVS-Television in 1982. Barnes can be best described as a high-energy
comic that will take an audience and keep them laughing as he interprets
his experiences of life. Barnes is also the man of many faces; his
personality and facial expressions will bring an audience to life. In 1993
Barnes was the Young Artist Grant winner awarded by the Performing
Arts Center (PAC) in Milwaukee. Barnes has worked and laughed with such
people as John Mendoza, JJ Jimmy Walker, Andrew Dice Clay, Sinbad, Bill
Cosby, and many others.

I've been out of the loop for a while and thought I'd check in. I have been working crazy hours with my new job so most of my free time has gone to weekends only. I hope that all of you are doing well and hopefully I can get to an event soon to see you all!

Starting July 8/Tues, I'll be working flex time at work, 4, 10hr days, it will be a slight adjustment in the a.m., my new hrs will be 7-6! But get this, with my already 2 days scheduled off for vacation, I have earned 4 additional days off due to flex time, add in the weekends and it's fun fun fun for me and my boys. I'm really looking forward to being able to spend this extra time with them.

Sunday we may go four-wheelin
Monday, I'm off work!! I may take them to the movies!!
I only work three days next week and then off for another 3 day weekend, it wasn't planned but I have every Friday off this month!

Anyone hear from Miss Jeanie of late? Hope she is doing well! I talk to Terri frequently...she is excited about hers and Eric's anniversary trip to New Orleans...still looking for a job, and staying afloat doing medical studies. I also saw Joni 2 weekends ago, at the Strat...so I know she is still alive! | |

Jeannie, I talked to her the other day about a week ago I guess...she's still following Honeyvox around town, great boogie band, we all like them anyway. It's been awhile since Jerry and I out and about for dancing,
I'd go for the GNO, but I just got back online so figured I was out of the loop anyway, pc hassles and all that jazz. | |

it has been to long for all of us...but I underzstand our lives do change from time to time...I respect that!
and taking care of ME...in all areas of my life is vital and a must...Susie my friend, you know what I am talking about!
Life is good..............and all is well!
The only thing missing is MY SISTA's............hope to see you all soon!

Yes, I am taking care of ME! I am enjoying life also, however I would like to meet mr right but it is just not happening. That is ok cause when I do... I will certaintly know it and be ready.
We will catch up one of these days soon.
Have fun tonight. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would join you. I loved that place....Sky and of course HoneyVox!!

I guess we're too wrapped up in being outside due to summer events, spending time with family and no time for anything else..well it's way too hot to spend time outside these days ~ looks like we'll have another great turn out for a gathering at the Strat in a week or so, 205+ signed up already, yet it seems kinda far away LOL
Friday night I'm meeting up with some friends, of course it's guys/gals related cause it's another meet up deal, like fun people, and you know how we all love to have fun!

OK.. I know we just had the BIG party but I have had a few emailing me saying they wish we would have a GNO so they could get to know more gals. Anyone up to that yet or shall we wait???
IF so I am suggesting Helen Fitzgerald on So Lindbergh or Casa in So Co on So Lindbergh. I would prefer it be a Friday night cause this woman has to get up early for work and that would be hard to do if I went out the night before.
Ok...let's hear some suggestions or thoughts on this.
also, for those of you that went to the 1st party last year at the Strat.. the actual date was Aug 24th. I had it written in my calendar... I am silly with remembering dates that had an impact on my life. | |

I had fun the other night! Yesterday was a slight downer, not due to the small crowd cause the after party talk is always fun to listen to and participate in, but one of us had a tad too much to drink the night before so we vegged out in the hotel last night, I left at 10 to get some snacks and we stayed up watching movies on HBO. Woke up around 9 this morning and got ready to check out. | |

Denise...I did the same sort of thing...vegged watching the tube all Saturday, but Manda and I did make it back to the bar around 10 and met up with some old friends from a place we used to work at. Was a fun time...but man...there was sh1t hitting the fan every half hour or so...something I never see at the Strat! And of course we ended up having another party in the room...stayed up till about 5 this time! | |
