if more, than chances are she won't be faithful.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 2:48:27 PM | | If the guy has the same reputation as the "slut", then it should not be a problem. | |

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 3:25:26 PM | >sigh<
I suppose once the (male) slut had all the appropriate blood tests and a 'safe' quarantine period had passed and I had hit my head on the side that affects my logic and reasons for TRUST.. Then sure I'd marry a male slut. As long as he wasn't with any of the local female sluts, cuz most of 'em have hep or some other lovely disease.
Of course someone who's had multitudes of sex partners right before me would be faithful to me.. cuz I'm spechul! lol

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 3:32:18 PM | Also concurring with the, it's not what she was, it's what she is and will be.
Sluts are ok in my book, as long as they are ethical and understand loyalty.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 3:41:05 PM | slut: noun 1. a dirty, slovenly woman. 2. an immoral or dissolute woman; prostitute. [Origin: 1375–1425; late ME slutte; cf. dial. slut mud, Norw (dial.) slutr sleet, impure liquid]
If we're talking about number 1, then no. If we're talking about number 2, no.
But... I've also heard that a slut is a female dog that has had puppies. So, from my point of view, since I'm only into female humans... no, I would not marry a slut. But if you're into that, I'm not going to cast the first stone.

Would you have a long term relationship or marry a woman who before you had been a slut?
Yes | |

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 3:58:46 PM | | you know, I am always amazed at our ability to judge people ..... if I was former military and served in active combat / taken life in the service of my country .... Should I have to worry if women are willing to marry a "killer" ? Who is to say what is worse being a slut or a killer ? I think everybody has the right to choose who they allow into their life, but no one has the right to judge me. I don't care how partners you've had, it only becomes my concern when it can potentially effect the current relationship i.e. STD's, PTDS from abuse, etc. | |

Wait a minute. Was this thread a conversation topic or a proposal? I'm sure if the lot of you wish to pair up and get married, then by all means have at it. I'm actually taken myself. I'm just posing questions for the sake of..... errrmmm.... I don't know.... the heavy doses of cold medicine I'm on.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 4:03:10 PM | whenyer_strange, I was waiting for you to ask that. That was kind of predictable for you to ask. So anyone who posted on this thread, already has an answer.
As for me, I don't behave that way as it is. If I did, I would not be hypocritical about it. But those who would, would not bother to post on this forum. Despite what other women might have told you, men have brains. Ok, yeah, I've been busted. Just waiting for that one to say it's different for the guys. I did refer to the other thread going on with a similar topic and I need to take a peak back over there.
I wasn't attempting to accuse anyone of stupidity with this. I know it was a case a while back that there was an inconsistency going on, but no amount of searching has yielded it again. I have noticed that any thread I post tends to be short and not too exciting. Actually, it's rare I post new topics. I blame it on the cold medicine.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 4:08:04 PM | | You mean could I fall in love with woman with a reputation about town as being cheap and easy? Sure it's remotely possible I guess, but we'd have to leave town. | |

If she had sex with people that could potentially be at our wedding, I don't think I could get over that.....
like her brother or uncle
okay, i'm done being a smart ass
I think as long as a woman wasn't using someone in the past, her history means nothing to the present. Every man wants a wife who knows what she's doing. As long as she shows she is faithfull, I don't care what she did in the past.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 4:13:05 PM | Would not matter if she slept with a thousand guys, just as long as she has never messaged intimate members. | |

"For all those men who say “Why buy a cow when you can get milk for free?”, here's an update for you: Nowadays, 80% of women are against marriage. WHY? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage. "
I just got that ^^ in an email and HadTo put it here, just seemed appropriate.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 5:35:59 PM | Lots of experiences does not equal slut.
IMHO, a slut is a woman who has sex with multiple partners due to lack of self-esteem. She'd be the type who'd give in to a man's advances because he wants it, not her. The problem then isn't the frequency of sexual encounters but the motivations behind them.
A person with little or no self-esteem isn't going to make a very good partner in the long run. On the other hand, a person with a healthy sexual appetite and the experience to back it up can make for a wonderful spouse!

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 5:41:44 PM | No, I wouldn't. She would forever be disgusting in my book. To me having slept with men before me isn't a slut, so long as she genuinly cared for them. I have no problem with people who have slept with someone that truly means something to them. To me, sex is a way of expressioning how much you love someone.
However, 1 night stands...especially multiple 1 night stands is a no go. Multiple partners at once, is a no go. And many many other things.
I can keep it in my pants, she can keep her legs closed.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 6:33:45 PM | Yes i would, i would marry a convicted cheater too. In fact the 2 women i know at this time who i would most likely marry can be considered sluts by the average person and society in general and are convicted cheaters as well. a person's past sexual experiences and motivations are irrelevant to me. A person's current and futures sexual experiences and motivations are irrelevant so long as im one of them (if i was their husband or b/f) The only problem i would have in marrying or being married to a slut OR a cheater would be if they were getting laid more than i was and i wasnt getting laid enough. | |

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 7:02:48 PM | A lepoard cannot change its spots. I was married to one, a spoted one, that is. I kept taking him back, and he kept cheating on me. Always after the 6 month itch. So I stayed in church to keep me busy. But, the cute ones are the male/female sluts. Not all cute or good looking men are that way. My ex passed on 10 years ago. I have two kids and grandkids that came from that marriage. Some good came from Him. Sigh | |

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 7:38:50 PM | Absolutely. I was a 'congratulated' guy in the past, so I definitely wouldn't hold the same against a woman. As some previous posters have related, as long as she was faithful to me, it doesn't matter. Hell, I WANT a slut. She will be more likely to have a bigger repertoire of variety in the bedroom. And variety IS the spice of life after all.

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 9:18:05 PM | As someone already pointed out, their past is just that, their past. What counts is the now and if she's going to remain commited to just you. As for church goes, you have to remember that Jesus came to the aid of an adultress and saved her from stoning for her acts. He didn't judge her , just told her to go and sin no more. When I was young and a Marine, I lived my life as a Marine, and eventually changed. So who am I to judge. Goodness knows I'd be the last one to do that. | |

| Would you marry a slut? Posted: 1/6/2008 10:07:18 PM | | St. Augustine had a child out of wedlock before he became a saint. People can have done certain things in their past, but it doesn't mean they will cease or continue. It depends on if you trust them. If I trust the person, then no problem. | |
