That means I would know her well enough to know if any issues that brought about the behavior are resolved and if I am marrying her, then duh, yes.
That means that we have gone way way past the issues of STD's and safety, so again duh, yes.
As long as her young and wild days are behind her, as they are with me, why not? What does not kill us makes us stronger. We learn the greatest by making the most mistakes and learning from said mistakes without it burdening our present.
I would rather have that than have someone who didn't get any of that out of their systems in their youth and they decide to relive that phase of their life in their late 30's or 40's in the middle of the marriage. That can get really damn annoying.

Posted: 1/7/2008 11:52:54 AM | No! History has a nasty way of repeating itself. Besides, my experience has taught me that promiscuous people (whether men or women) have underlying self-esteem issues. Then you have the issue of cognitive dissonance which explains the saying "once a cheater, always a cheater". So hell no, I would never consider a relationship with a former (current) train queen. Nor should any woman consider a relationship with a former (current) dirty**** Notice the parenthesis; because former in reality = current. People simply don't change unless something catastrophic happens in their lives. So in my humble opinion, ignoring the past is ignorant as it is the best predictor of the current.

Of course, then in my books, she's not a slut. At least, not anymore.
To me, a "slut", is a wo/man who will sleep with anyone. No feelings required, just attraction. And can do while "getting to know" others.
So they might be "dating" and sleeping with multiple people.
Not to be confused with a cheater, who does so when they're supposedly "with" someone specific.
A person who's "easy" (for lack of a better term), is one who will sleep with someone, without waiting for an emotional attachment... but they will still only do so with one person at a time.
So they might find someone, and date them and sleep with them off the bat... but until they have decided wether or not they want to stay with that person... they will be "faithful" to them. | |

Huhhh? Isn't this a mathematical impossibility lol! Lets see if I get this right; when a man sleeps with a woman it counts as 1.5 notch on his bedpost but only 0.5 notches for the woman lol! My lord.

He went so far as to imply that I must have been with a lot of men before him for me to spend so much on the shot, and since I was on it and wasn't having sex with him that I must be getting with other people. I know my past, and I know I am not promiscuous by any means - and I was SHOCKED to have someone say something like that to me. And no, he never saw me again afterwards.

I'm sure women understate and men overstate...but it is NOT a mathematical impossibility that men sleep around more. Men in general are more promiscuous, but if some women are EXTREMELY promiscuous and sleep with many, many men then that allows a good number of women to be below the average number of partners. It all averages out across the entire population, but not EVERYONE has to sleep with the same average number of partners. | |
