heeey the way i see it is yes theres a big time double standard, but i have to say mr "lotion in the basket anal sex" btw ican make that happen is being a bit negative think of it like this those women who are like that are missing out because out of all the men they chase which they never can have there the ones complaining that they cant find anyone decent when really...the decent people are being over looked soo its all a joke to me. love who you love be who you are and if someone has a problem with it then....what can you do. everyones different for a reason.

especally those not so attrative women that choose the good looking model guy, its alway a good laugh when they get turned down.

Oh gosh socalibob, are you talking about the oddball who wanted girls to wear pigtails and school girl uniforms?

Oh HELL No! LOL, call me Chester. ewww. But then again if that's what he wants, than it's his preference and he's entitled to it -- unless he wants an actual child. Why should condemning a man for wanting a woman to dress like girl be okay, but it was wrong when negative opinions were said about those into BDSM?

This should not shock anyone. Women are better communicators than men are. The brain circuitry and hormones that make women so much more attuned the emotions of others are very real. We have better hearing and better verbal skills, this would translate over to an arena of discussion that is centered on emotional responses.

As a man, you are allowed to express whatever you want, and often many do. The fact remains that men are more visually wired than women are, makes them more prone to be superficial about how someone looks. The centers for sexual activities in a males brain are almost twice the size and with more connections than women. In a lot of ways, it is a biological imperative.

There is some good news for women, did you know that worldwide, there are about 105-107 boys born for every 100 girls born? Better work on those social skills guys, your odds are not improving.

Before I read your post I had thought along those same lines, the problem is I don't think in general the women here are good listeners. Shrillness and histrionics aren't good communication or social skills. Now take this as a generality but I think the problem is that the men here have been pretty straight forward in what they write but the women have been really hyper-sensitive, making things seem much worse than what they really are, it's almost as if they want to be offended for it gives them (some, many) an excuse to go off. And once someone goes off, be it a man or woman, and things start becoming heated and argumentative, the worst sides of us start to show. Verbal skills don't necessarily translate into written skills. Many men have excellent writing skills as evidenced by many esteemed writers. Take a look at other forums such as Science/Religion, you will find highly intelligent men with excellent writing skills who communicate clearly and concisely. Again, I think it boils down to the image of a woman as non-threatening and a man as threatening. So many rude comments or stupid comments made by women here get a pass; and believe me there are many. If I have a bias it isn't for my gender. I have always held women in higher esteem than I do men, but that view is becoming a little muddied here watching how men and women interact here.

'Not a single person on the califorums has gotten on someone's case for having a preference.'

I almost let this one slide!! Are you TOTALLY SERIOUS? Are we reading the same forums?

'What you seemed to have missed from mominitrix's posts is there is difference in delivery.'

Thats right...I never called either of you any names.......

'Simply stating a preference is one thing. Making judgmental assumptions about others while expressing your preference is another.'

I have yet to see you make any comments about women who like tall men...is this because you would be in discord with your buddies? And if I remember correctly the preference that was stated was based on the fact that....wait for it...she can wear heels with the guy? THATS a reason?? If things have reduced to the point of a man being a fashion accessory then I've really hit the wrong site! You may or may not be surprised to know that after having read a good number of women's profiles that THAT is the #1 reason/JUSTIFICATION for being with a tall guy...so she can wear heels!

'Maybe that is ok in the general forums but we have a tendency to at least try to be nice about it around here.'

And am I to base this on your posts? Please see your greatest hits in an earlier post...ahh hell, I'll just add them here....

'Exhibit A...posts from Kittycakes...

Cleanup in aisle 3, angry short man spillage!'

'There is a difference between having a preference and being an a55hole about it.
You sir, are being an a55hole about it.'

' It goes beyond a generalized preference to being, frankly, an a55hole. You're perfectly entitled to your opinions and being a jerk about it.'

'Maybe that is ok in the general forums but we have a tendency to at least try to be nice about it around here.'

Your comments above underscore the fact that you are clearly in denial OR have a very short and convenient memory, yeah, maybe you'll be nice if a bunch of sycophants are eagerly trying to please you and suck up but I am not. Women are better communicators? Hah!

'I guess you have yet to catch on.'

No, I think I know very well what's going on.

Wow this thread went downhill quickly...

I'm 6'0" so I never have this problem. I guess shorter men have a problem because it limits their options?

Girls want to be protected and I guess there may be some instinct that taller men can protect them better. Course don't ask me, I'm a geek =)

I guess I like a guy to be taller than I am perhaps because it is much easier to fake a slightly tighter jawline when looking up at someone! lol
Is that bad?

I believe women get the most negative comments. in my opinion it's great when a woman states her preferences because it saves guys a lot of trouble and heartache. why waste your time chasing a woman that is not into you?

I just had someone send me an email... with just his name and phone number and ask me if he lived too far. He didn't care to check out my profile what-so-ever, which clearly states that I'm not into him .... (not to be rude).

I emailed back, you're not my type.

Maybe rude, but I wish they would just read that one lil portion on there that I wrote about what kind of guy I am attracted to.

It saves all of us from feeling like jerks when we have to send emails saying that we're not interested.

I could have not sent an email, but that opens another can of worms....
