Every time we talked he wanted to come to my house. I asked him why he insisted on coming to my house. He said he was not insisting and he was not a freak. I beg to differ! I don't talk to him anymore. I thought that was a weird request for a first date and meeting and we have not even talked on the phone very much anyway!

If you are so allowed to by your country or states laws. Learn how to shoot! Get your
"concealed to carry" license, if allowed, and let these abusers know that you are not scared of firearms or the knowledge to use them. Without victims these men are helpless. Why do I feel like this because it also happened to me about 20 years ago. I also foolishly allowed someone into my home that I had not known long. After a couple of firm no sex on my part I knew that I was going to be raped. Instead of panicking I politely asked him if I could please adorn my sexy lingerie, while panic stricken but maintaining, I returned with my weapon ordered him out the door never to be seen again. I am not being a hypocrite that doesn't think one day I can not be blind sided but if my the grace of god, maintaining my whits, and S&W I will see my grandbabies grow up! Peace to all in this ever changing world. | |

There are certainly many scenarios of "could have", "should have" situations. To address the few who asked why I answered the door...(and I do have the peep hole) I was pissed that he had the audasity to show up at my door and I was going to let him know. Oh sure I could have remained safe and called the cops to haul away a faceless perp, but decided to cover my ass and draw as much attention as I could to the situation and make his face known....geez...do some not understand the concept of being in control of their life?
Amazing responses here....and I can certainly see how many choose to remain the "victim". I choose not to be in that situation...thank you very much. I chose to make the most noise that I could and draw attention to the loser and I certainly checked it out that he was not bradishing a weapon...I am not totally stupid, but simply played on his ignorance and took control of the situation. For those of you who can understand that...thank you. | |

#6:He did nothing physical to her and the cops are not going to arrest him on her word alone especially since in her original post she said he looked and seemed normal and seen no red flags.
#7:The cops would probly laugh soon as she said she met him on the internet and probly just tell the guy to go home and warn him not to come back around.
#8:She just met him an there had been no prior complaints or phone calls to the police station.
#9:She said in her posting I included in her quote above she posted this on the 6th of january so that would have made her meeting with her date between 5pm and 7pm on the 4th of january. Ok well now if you click on her history she was posting in the forums at that time and responding to early posts thinking igor or someone about their responce in an earlier posting.. """"BUSTED"""""

I do think that the answers on here are great. Although I didn't want to have a gun in my handbag, because of what I learnt about it being turned on me, the gun in the house does seem different. I think that a woman living by herself, that really may be a good thing to do. Of course a gun safety course is good for anyone regardless of owning a gun.
Geuss I am glad the op wasn't found out too soon or some of these great tips wouldn't be on here. | |

I find it rather disturbing that some of the guys (and women)on here seem to think resorting to violence talking about base ball bats and guns seems to be nessesary. I would guess that most of the stalking so as people cry about is nothing more than a player (male/female) has lead someone on and then played with someones feelings and emotions and the person thats supposedly stalked is nothing more than a player that played too long. And the stalker is nothing more than someone that got played and got their feelings hurt. If a woman or man is not insterested in someone they should quit playing the string along game. People should be honest and upfront and use a little communication. I'm sure if Kittengotclaws would have simply been up front and told him she was only after some weinie in the first place she might not have gotten any weinie but she wouldn't have had him showing up at her door either (if it even happend) Jim does have some good pointers there. But I still want to hear a come back form Kittengotclaws. Liars always get caught in the end. I'll have to check the history out and see if she really was on here posting on the forums before I decide if it's a BS story or true. But he's certainly got some good pointers that jim guy. I doubt it... but it happens far too often, and it gives us normal, decent men a very bad name indeed. As for "resorting to violence" being somehow wrong.... what, is she supposed to call the cops? Hell, she could very easily be dead by the time they show up! Every woman who has ever been in a serious relationship with me has been trained to responsibly and safely handle a firearm, as it is their Constituionally Guaranteed right to do so. .. or did you miss that part of civics class? As far as I'm concerned, an ounce of preperation is worth a ton of regrets.... and nobody in their right mind would deny a woman the right to defend herself from an obviously dangerous man who needs a serious round of psychiatric evaluation, as this joker obviously did. And what is the most effective form of self defense for a woman? A firearm. As for not believing kitten's story? Ask any uniformed police officer in any major city in this country, he'll tell you he sees it every single day. I'm not going to argue with you Dan,, I will ask that you read a few earlier posts .I believe it is MSG #109 and read carefully.Then possibly do a little checking into things before you go flipping out on me. I think people like Kittygotclaws puts the fear into people that logs onto the internet.I would guess more people have harm done to them that met in a bar than on the internet. The part that got me thinking was when she said he just stayed there after she told the neighbor to call the cops.. And besides. How many of you people think someone could tag you around all over your town and you not notice someone was following you? First time I did a serch on her from reading this story I pulled her profile up and hooterville, I clicked on all the people that was in 50 miles from kitty and everyone was close to Kirksville,Missouri. So I did the shortest serch possible which I think is a 5 miles serch and "BINGO" Kittygotclaws poped up in the serch. I then went to newpaperlinks.com and pulled up Kirksville,Missouri. Read that paper from that day on till yesterday,, Nowhere did I see about anyone getting arrested for stalking. And thats the way new papers lists it . I would guess she's having a problem digging herself out of this whole. She's pretty smart I can tell by her grammar an spelling and certain words she uses that some people would not know the meaning of. But I think she dug herself in too deep this time  :modhammer: | |

I've been criticized for saying this, but I stand by it, and it bears repeating.... exercize your Constitutionally guaranteed right... keep a pistol or even better, a shotgun handy, and don't be afraid to use it, should the necessity arise. Usually, you won't have to pull the trigger, just showing these punks that you're ready and capable of defending yourself is sufficient to remind them of an 'urgent prior engagement' far away from you. Self defense is the oldest and most basic human right-it goes all the way back to when man was little more than a slightly less hairy ape and still lived in caves, and being prepared to do so only makes sense in this day and age.... and as for whiny liberals who think 'violence only begets violence' and 'brute force never solved anything' .... ask them again after they've been mugged, beaten, or raped. and let me add this... I once drove for a cab company that was under contract to a battered women's shelter.... I can't tell you the exact percentage of those bruised victims that had restraining orders against the men who brutalized them, but I'd be willing to bet it was somwhere between 60-75% Waving around that useless piece of paper is like waving a red flag in front of an angry bull. So go to a good, reputable gunshop, take a firearms safety course, learn what your local laws are, and be prepared to stand up for yourself.... because there are damned few people out there who will do it for you. Well, I won't speak to this being just a story made up by someone, or if it is the actual series of events and the evidence is misleading, either is true.
A few statistics to keep in mind.
Wikipedia has between 3500 and 8000 items a month found to be erroneous.
In California alone, there is a rape every 17 minutes (or less, my stats are a few years out of date)
For every scary story from the internet that you hear about, there are an estimated 25 successful marriages, and no one is sure about successful relationships (the numbers are harder to tack)
Adult Friend Finder (an on-line swinger/dating site) has over 30 contacts with law enforcement per quarter.
What does this all lead up to?
Be careful, the world is in fact a scary place.
Be even more careful about what you read/hear on or about the internet, it is a big fat juicy target for ever freak and slow news night that exists.
Just a few idle thoughts.

People don't read these threads careful enough.I would guess this is a woman that's in a high possition as far as her job.Her grammar is near perfect other than the 3 or 4 dots at the end of each sentence....Take note of these dots.... I seen another profile on here a while back that the grammar was perfect and the spelling and the dots was there...000Missy000....Some of the words used and the wording is what caught my eye.The same day 000missy000 was deleted was the same day Kittygotclaws was created.. hummmmmmmmm This woman is a "WOLF" dressed in "SHEEPS" clothing.
PS:I shouldn't have mentioned the dots.She will read this under another profile and stop putting the dots in and will make it harder to figure her out.:modhammer: | |
