| Chopsticks for everything chopstickable.... Posted: 1/12/2008 3:06:42 PM | Ok, so I'm determined to try and get the hang of it. Marc you've all convinced me that chopsticks are the way to go. Don't want to sit at a meal and invoke images of violence.
KayFay, thanks for the advice, but I'll try to fast forward with food that I can eat. Sooooo, since it has to be practical I figured I'd start with my favorite foods...
Tonight it will be tacos and rice... shouldn't be too hard with chopsticks huh?
Tomorrow I'll try fried chicken... I'll let y'all know how it goes.

And yes Naughtical you can eat steak and chicken and any other meat with them if prepared correctly. In Teppan style cooking all of the food is prepered so it can be eaten with chopsticks. I don't have any in the house and not long ago I went to an Asian restaurant and found I could still, after about 15 years, pick up a grain of rice. Very impressive for my date who chose regular utensils
As far as bacon goes I use metal tongs and all of my cookware is either stainless or cast so scratching is not a problem. Puncturing almost any meat during cooking is generaly not a good thing, I can even turn a 4 lb roast on the grill with tongs.
