Posted: 3/27/2008 2:26:04 PM | Willow - I have 3 tattoos, a medium size one of a scorpion cos I am one, a tiny one of a little devil cos i am one of those too, and a great big HUGE one that covers 3/4 of my back of a mermaid, diver, fish, coral, seabed scene cos I am a diver and when I dive I feel like a mermaid, all the fish and coral etc are those that I have dived with including the dolphins and sharks - and I love them all, but don't think I will get anymore now ;-)

Also have a female wolf howling to the moon on my upper arm......
I want one of Taz doing naughty things to Bugs Bunny when I can afford it, because it appeals to my warped sense of humour :) | |

My relationship breakup last year left me broken and so I have flames on my forearms but in a tribal design. The people who want to know me will know me, the rest will cross the streetand I don't care about them one little bit. | |

You made it sound that you got the tattoos with the intention of repelling other people.
You also make it sound like you enjoy repelling people with this and the other deleted posts.

Posted: 3/27/2008 5:04:54 PM | i'm having one done tomorrow; a charm bracelet/anklet round my ankle. It reprsents the things I value in my life that have made me a stronger and better person. It will have a plam tree (representing near death experience), a breast cancer ribbon (in honour of my mum), 3 dollies (representing my children) and a smiley face (representing freedom from domestic abuse and growth of inner strength). It will the be added to as and when life changing experiences occur.
I'm having it done on my ankle so that it will be easily covered during working hours, as it's frowned upon by the head teacher. | |

Posted: 3/27/2008 5:23:24 PM | I have a small sun above my left ankle so that I always have sunshine in my life (you can all stop vomiting now). I love it.
I also have a design on my lower back which I added to to make it more feminine which unfortunately also made it larger. I sometimes forget I have it (out of sight out of mind) and sometimes wish I had never had it done.
I've often contemplated getting more but stick to temp tats when I want to add a bit of colour or for parties etc. At least then I can just wash them off when I am bored with them.
I've seen some which are amazing works of art. | |

Posted: 3/28/2008 5:42:10 AM | i've got 6 so far, first one was a bird on my right shoulder, had that re-done last week and some exotic flowers added so it now spreads down my back and onto my right arm, have a unicorn on my ankle, hieroglyphics on my right hip, a phoenix at the top of my left arm, a dragon and some latin script at the base of my spine, script says 'illegitimi non carborundum which translates as 'dont let the b******s grnd you down!'
Number 7 is booked for next week, an angle in black and grey going all the way up my left side, right on my ribs, ouch!! its gonna take about 6 hours.......bank manager wont be happy! | |

Posted: 3/31/2008 4:58:46 AM | I have a black and purple snowflake/star on my chest just below my collar bone. I had wanted a star on my shoulder but was advised to go somewhere a little less painful as it was my first, still hurt but a nice warm pain.
I'd like to have another but it took me so long just to get the first I might go ahead with it when I'm about 45. | |

Most recent one I had last week was a shooting star design on my foot, along the top..man that knacked!! Most painful one ever lol...
Had 3 tribal stars on my inner elbow last month to represent my daughter, my partner and me...
And got a yellow rose on my boob, a butterfly on my ass, a forever friends bear on my shoulder ( excuse the tackiness i was only 15!), my exes name on my lower back, another exes name on ankle that ive had covered up, my daughters name on over ankle, a chinese symbol on back of my neck.... must be 9 then lol.. But im getting the exes name on back covered up next month with some big tribal-esque design and I fancy getting some more symbols on my neck, maybe going down my back and something on my wrist...
And yes I am fully aware that I will probably look awful when Im 90 with all saggy baggy leathery skin but I am proud of each & every one of my tats, they ment something special at the time I got them done, and I dont regret any of them, not even the exes names, because I 100% believed in them at the time and knew exactly what i was doing when I got them..

None below the cuff line.
They were done in the early 70's.
They represent where I have been throughout the world.
I have had two sessions of getting them off £600 per arm.
I now regret having them on, and if anyone was to ask me for advice about getting one
I would say dont bother.

I have a 4 leaf clover on my right shoulder to represent my irish heritage and for good luck, I have a fairy on my left shoulder - not sure why, but I was taken by the image when looking through the book and loved her so got her done. Then I have a feather on my right ankle to represent my native american indian past life.
My 4th is going to be 3 little stars on the inside of my right elbow just at the top of the forearm. These will represent me, my brother and my sister.
The other one I want to get is the north star with angel wings, representing my Godkids (the star) and my Grandad (angel wings), I need to design it and be 100% happy with it as it means so much to me before I get it done, but that will be going down the front of the bottom of my left leg. | |

I have a celtic design just above my left ankle, and a lil bird just above my right ankle.
I have a lil devil on my chest with eldest sons name under, and a chinese symbol for happiness right at the top of my back with my younget sons name under, and lastly I have a chain of flowers across the lower part of my back. | |

I started it years ago with a single butterfly and then unfortunately put my ex's initials on my lower back... divorce happened and they needed to go so I decided it was time to finish things up and get rid of the initials... they morphed into the tree trunk and that was a very good day indeed. My tattoo guy is fantastic and did it all free-hand. | |

I think it is very important what you put on your skin; it stays there forever! Many people have tattoos out of current fashion...but how will they see it in 10,20 or 30 years down the line? | |
