| Canoe Trip
Posted: 6/1/2008 11:23:25 AM | I have an Old Town Otter. I had a rack put on my car for it awhile back, but the kayak kind of acts like a sail. Last time I carried it the car didn't want to do the hills on Rt. 181. So I was thinking about renting a sit-on-top but maybe I better take the advice given here and just load up my Otter and drive slowly.
Are they really running out of campsites with only 14 people signed up? Can't more than one tent go up on a campsite?

Posted: 6/1/2008 11:51:50 AM | Hi Audrey they are running out of sites.But don't worry they are putting us all together in one of the goup sites that can hold up to 25 tents.All with picnic tables and all.I would bring your otter you'll be more comfortable you all ready know how your boat tracks in waves and eddies.In stead of spending the first hour figuring out how the sit on top tracks LOL.I asked for one thats close to the johns LOL for all the woman LOL.I have a friend that likes camping but she didn't like to walk to the johns she would drive 50 yards to the johns cuz she was afraid of the things that go bump in the night LOL. | |

Posted: 6/2/2008 1:23:24 PM | OK ALL we are all set for all of us that are camping in our vehicles like Allen and my self all the site for us are all drive ins.We are staying at the area called wilder springs if you go to their web sit you'll see it its kind of out of the way but I was told that its nice down there we will.not have to worry about being too loud LOL.its sites 36 thru 45 it down at the bottem of the bluffs.So our site are ready for us they are going to block off a section for us  .
And NOW a RIVER and a WEATHER REPORT LOL it realy has not changed much from the last report but Trying to be a good host I'll do another on LOL .On Thursday will be Partly sunny with the high of 86 and the low of 69,On friday the high of 80 and the low of 60 with 20% chance of showers,on Saturday the high of 82 and the low of 68 with 30% chance of scatered shower and on Sunday the high of 87 and sunny with the low of 69.All still very good weather so far keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way LOL.
And a river report the river is up a little bit from the thunder storms that are rolling thru right now and thru out the night so it make no sence to have a river report LOL.So keep an eye out on Wendsday for the last river and weather report Cuz On Thursday morning I'm heading out down there LOL. | |

Posted: 6/2/2008 6:14:39 PM | | Sure you can come mate where we are camping its cool for a pop up camper but its a non power sites.And it would be go to make a reservation just tell them your with plenty of fish and they will put you with us.The area we are camping at is called wilder springs.its a group site.If you visit Twin bridge's web site you can go to the camping section and click on the map and you'll see where we are. | |

I'm heading down Friday, hope to get there before dark to meet everyone and shoot the breeze. Don't guess anyone needed a ride from this part of the country so looks like I'm coming solo.

For those who missed out on Sundays trip, it was incredible! Narrow stream, fast water and great mild technicals!
