I don't blame ya at all wanting to float the rivers in small groups.Thats why I thought about doing the Bryant on Friday befor it got crouded LOL.But even on Saturday the bryant don't get crouded ant way. Most of the peaple that are there are fishing for fish that is LOL.

Okay, I just signed up, and look forward to the trip! I still need Twin Bridges to confirm my reservation. I'm pitching a tent and reserved one canoe. So, I'll have room for an extra person if they need an experienced partner. Although, after I drink a few beers, the word, "experienced" becomes diluted.

If enough spots are open on a raft, I may jump on board. Although, I personally prefer a canoe, and the navigation. Be sure to bring a fishing pole, always fun to stop a long the way and throw in a line.

I plan to travel down Thursday night, and if I do, I may try and float the Bryant River also on Friday. Although, I won't have a partner for a canoe, I may give the kayak a try. As that seems to be the theme for a Friday float.

Note: if you're hesitant about going, don't! You can always find a raft or a canoe to jump onto. Although, two to each canoe is my recommendation. Three to a canoe starts to get cramped, at which point you should move to a raft. Just my .02 cents.

I look forward to seeing everyone and hurry up June!

Hey Bryon, I would be interested in doing that day on the Bryant with you. Did you know for certain which day, Friday or Saturday? And which day will most of the group float?

Hi Bryan,

Please tell me where you are putting in on the Bryant. It may be a lot closer for me to just drive up to the put-in on Friday morning.

I realy don'y know where we will start at on the bryant. It will all depend on the river level in june. But most likly we'll start out at Hodgesmill and float down to Hwy.FF that is a 9 mile run or start at hwy FF and float down to Tecumse and that is a 10 mile float.but Like i said before it all what the river level is. . Later on in May when its closer to the float we can deside what section of the Bryant creek we'll do the friday float.

When I saw this thread I never clicked on it because I thought it was way up by St Louis but this is where I play with my dogs! You guys are going to love it. I really wish you wouldnt give away our little spot and come populate it though...geez!! No this is not class 5 white water rapids or put a helmet on your head. This is stick your azz in a tube, beer in a cooler and float down a crystal clear quiet beautiful river. I have friends that live near St Louis and they drive down here to float. You cant compare the two.

I know not for you.I have been down on the North many of times.Thats one of the reasons I picked this river.it's eazy for the non-paddler and there are a few rifts for the folks like me to do some splish splashing.Plus it's not nearly as crouded as some of the rivers up here.I all so has stayed at Twin bridge's a few times and they were all ways helpfull with the campers and paddlers it a nice clean and well mantained camp ground.don't worry I'm not going to let out your secret river LOL. So not for you why don't you sign up and join us LOL and float with the gang of fish LOL

I will tell my daughter to tell all of her friends at West Plains high school to camp that weekend. The kids know where all the best make out spots and swim holes are.

Is there a lot of sand bars on this stretch of the river for stopping and socializing? Personally, I can't wait until this trip, and get away for a weekend! I'm working waaay to hard!

Us adults know where the best make out spots and skinny dipping holes are too but I prefer my carry along portable "Love Shack" for a make out spot.....it' s much more comfortable.

Do you know if they're networked with the Missouri Stream Team? I have been a member for several years and many places will give discounts if you pick up trash along the way. There is normally a bag minimum, but heck, you're just floating down a river. Why not help improve our Missouri Rivers and Streams? I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer to my question.

Sammi thats a good question.I'm not sure but I'll look into it.I know that they do hand out trash bags on the floats for everyones trash to be picked up
