Well it's a lot more than that. I think the bag minimum is like 5-8. I am not sure though. What is the exact name of the campground/rental place. If I go I might be able to get everyone a good discount. The discount all dependes on where you go and what the specific place is offering for missouri stream team members.

Thanks Sammie your help was apricated.I have a streem Team list some were in my out doors file's.But were thats a good question LOL.Over the years of floating I find that most of the river out fitter are members.I the fall when the Alpine shop has the river clean up I go and help clean the Meremec.Since it seems to be the worst by wear over the summer.just too many floaters on the river over the summer with no comensence or don't give a damn.Last year the Sieara club did a clean up on the Current I wanted to go and help but work didn't allaw me to make it. .The Canoe and Kayak Club I belong to and Many of our members are all so memebers of Clean Stream and we go out our selfs and clean up lakes and streams.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stlouiscanoekayakclub/

Ozark Outdoors is not too bad of a place to stay in the spring and fall I haved stayed there many of times.but between memorial day and labor day the place is like a frat house.Just way too many loud drunk obnoxious animal house type of kids running around during the summer months.

Hi everyone time is apon us in just over a month the float trip will be here.I have to say that everyone that is coming should be making they're reservations very soon or you just may not have a camp site or if your looking for a power site there is only a hand full of them. And its the same way with cabins there are not too many of them ither.I talked with the owners the other morning and they told me that the river is perfect for floating and they expect it to be the same when we come down.So come on all lest sign up if your coming and make sure you make your reservation soon OK.I'll see you all down there Alpine

Hi BRMack the main float that everyone will be doing is From the camp ground at Twin Bridge's down to Blair bridge and that will be on Saturday morning what time. I'm not sure when everyone will be ready but the camp ground has a couple of starting times. I think that everyone might be starting at differant times during the morning. And On Sunday some will be heading back home but I'm not sure of.My self and a few others are going up river and floating back to the camp ground and then heading back home after words. And then there might be a hand full of us that are coming down on Thursday and doing a float on friday on the Bryant creek. But don't worry about tell them what float your doing on till you check in all you have to do is tell them that your going to be floating one day or two.But the main float is from the camp ground down to Blair bridge thats the main float.

I just called and made my reservation. Apparently the number of people attending is picking up. If by chance you don't know how to canoe, don't worry, I'm sure you can jump in with someone who does. If anyone needs a canoe partner, I'll have an open spot for a person. But, the middle is reserved for a cooler of

Who is attending from St. Louis?

Bryon,

While speaking with her (Twin Bridges) I asked about the campsite(s), or my location - assigned site? Is it common for them to assign campsites at check-in versus at time of registration? After asking where it would be, she said they'll assign the campsite(s) at check-in. Anyway, it struck me as being odd.

It should be a great trip. I've never floated the North Fork. I've heard good things about it.

Must of the camp grounds I have stayed all seem to assign sites at the time of reservations but not at check in thou that seem to be new.or its they're way of doing things.I asked that they try to put us all together.Yea smokin you'll like this river there are sections that we will do a bit of splish spashing specaily when we get to the falls LOL.its not a real water fall just a two foot ledge LOL.but its fun to surf in if your in a kayak LOL.Too bad the North fork river is flooded down past dawt mill to tecumse becuase of north fork lake there is 4 miles of nothing but true white water 4 foot wave trains 100 yards long , 3 foot ledge drops 4 feet standing waves to plow thru. But thats not were I would take a virgin floater LOL were are not doing that run LOL.

Hi you all
I just wanted to say Hi to all of my fellow floating fish and to remind you all to make your resevations.Twin bridge's is a fairly large camp ground with over 100 site.I was told to let everyone know that the camp ground is filling up very Quickly. So make your resevations OK.And now a RIVER REPORT When I spoke to the receptionist on monday to confirm my resevation I asked about the river and all the flooding that was going on during the late winter and thru out the spring. And she assured me that the upper North Fork was not affected too much buy all the flooding. But she said that there was flooding there but it was not as bad as it was made out to be by the media. And through out the spring all of the out fitters have been on the river cleaning it up cutting up all of the tree's that have fallen into the river and clearing out the debris.I was all so told that with all of the rain that they have been getter through out the past couple of weeks have not been flooding type of rain just a old fashion soaking rain that soaked in to the springs and aquafurs so the river will be pefect thru out the summer right now I checked the river gage's on the USGA web site and the North Fork is at 1,100 cfs and that the normal level is 887 cfs for this time of year. For the North fork that is nothing its about 8 in above norm. And thats IDEAL floating level Well Thats about it gang I'll do more river reports weekly and update everyone what is going on.OK Well I'll SYOTR Alpine

Bryon,

I suppose instead of a 4 - 5 hour canoe ride it'll be a 2 - 3 hour....Hang on! ZOOM! LOL. Actually, 1100 cfs should be a great float - rate!!
