A bunch of other guys chimed in that they were slutty. (sigh)). Anyways. I did wonder about lower back tattoos on guys, but I couldn't think of a guy actually getting them. I think that any tattoo artist that's worthy of the title would make it clear that it's "sort of a feminine thing to do," as another poster said.
Someone else posted that as a "jail tat" it means that they were taken forcibly in prison. That reeks of BS to me. I just can't imagine a guy advertising that fact. I think "desperate to conceal the fact" would be a bit more accurate. It'd be like wandering around with a target "pick me! pick me!" The only way I'd believe that is it was a package deal... sodomy and a commemorating tattoo?
Something that does kind of disturb me is how often people seem to get tattoos on a total whim, and not have any particular reason. I've been thinking about getting some ink done for over a year now. I know where, and I have a vague idea of what... but I'll probably think on it a lot longer before I do anything (if I get it done at all). | |

I found this quite strange and I hate to admit that I jumped to conclusions when I saw the picture of this guys lower back (OK it was really his butt).
So what! A guy has a tattoo on his butt, of a tattoo depicting a picture of what exactly? A tattoo on his butt doesn't mean he's gay. I do commission art work for people seeking a unique concept design for tattoos. Then I recommend the client to a specific tattoo artist that I personally know. Certain branches of the military no longer allow individuals to have any visible tattoos while in uniform. Could this guy may have a similar occupation that does not allow visible tattoos? I’ve done artwork for clients who place a tattoo on body areas you wouldn’t believe!  | |

The tramp stamp as they are so eloquently put are a girls domain or so I thought. Basically put there for certain sexual positions that give you something perty to look at.
....so.....the sun tattoo around a navel is there so women who stare at their navels will have something pretty to look at......? Picking a flower is too much work? | |

Who gives a shit where he put his tattoo. Who gives a shit where she puts her tattoo. Frankly it never occured to me that somebody could be gay because of where on their body they had their tattoo inked. Crazy is a word best used to describe certain tattoos (I once saw a tattoo of the Rolling Stones logo (tongue and lips...you all know it) drawn on a guy's forehead. Not henna either...the real thing) and where they're placed but otherwise why would a person's sexuality be in question over tattoo location ? That's just silly. | |

The position of any tattoo is just that, the position of the tattoo. I have never in my life seen a woman who has a lower back tattoo and thought that "oh she must be a tramp because she has a tattoo there” As for a guy, it's the same thing; it's just where he decided to get a tattoo. If anything, I would say it's what the person gets the tattoo of, rather then where, that might have a bit more meaning regarding anything that it might say about the person. In fact, forget the lower back, there are people who have full body tattoos, I don't look at them and assume anything except gosh that person must really like tattoos.  | |
