| $40 and a date Posted: 1/7/2008 10:51:40 PM | I have tons of picture of the Mug's Away mooning over the past few years. It's ture, there are people with the whole works out. I have pictures of some people with nothing on at all. NOT ME! I took my Harley last year so it was easy to park.

Or.. rent paint ball guns and go hunting for rats in West Oakland.

Take a ride sometime. You'll find the mooning is not restricted to June if you keep your eyes looking out on the ocean side of train.

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/8/2008 9:16:10 PM | | If you are paying your dates $40... I think you are getting a really good deal there... | |
|
| $40 and a date Posted: 1/8/2008 9:27:19 PM | | Miniature golfing (but I only like to play the castles - skip the rest), then to the bumper boats & go carts. Leaves plenty for a few drinks afterwards (or maybe even before... making it even more fun). | |
|
| $40 and a date Posted: 1/8/2008 9:55:45 PM | | No sexual undertone here but, I always bring extra golf balls when I go miniature golfing. It gives me more oppotunity to score. Sometimes it's hard to get the my balls in the mouth of that clown. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/9/2008 12:46:43 AM | | Of course, in truth, it depends upon what interest we share in common. However, I took a quick trip over to my goldstarevents.com and found that a comic I really like from Whose Line is it is performing at the Hollywood Improv and they have seats for $10 so I still have drinks money. Alternative, Sasha Cohen on ice for $15 each and a soda (if we sneak a can in). Or blue13 dance of brazillian guitar ... or ... nope, massages are all over 40. sigh. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/9/2008 12:13:55 PM | | Go to the lake with some Guinness', sandwiches, and a blanket. If the company is good, anything would be fun. | |

Honestly I can't justify spending more than 40 bucks on a date until you are pretty sure that you can stand the company of the other person. Maybe I'm just a cheapskate though.
Spending 100 bucks on a first date is idiotic and screams "like me cause I have money".

You've got a good point, but $40 doesn't go far these days either. Is there something between? I just went to lunch with my sister. We split a $7 item and had 2 cups of coffe and it was still almost $20. Now one of my fav karaoke places has a $12 steak dinner that is totally delicious - but that is $24 plus tip and then drinks... hey, that would still be under $40. hehehehe Now just need to find a fellow non-smoker who can stand going to a smoker dive bar.
|
| $40 and a date Posted: 1/9/2008 8:58:52 PM | I'd take them roller skating at a great rink near me. $8 to get in, $4 skate rental. That leaves $26 for hot dogs and cokes.
Such a deal! | |
|
| $40 and a date Posted: 1/9/2008 10:57:12 PM | | The sad thing about $40 at DnBs is that each air hockey game is 10 credits... I'd rather spend like $20 on pool and then the rest on drinks and food during happy hour. | |
|
| $40 and a date Posted: 1/10/2008 4:13:11 PM | | I'd take him to the grocery store, buy two thick juicey ribeyes, 2 russet potatoes, stuff to make salad and a good Cabernet. Then I'd go home and cook it and serve it on extra fancy dishes. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/10/2008 6:16:36 PM | $40 isnt much to spend, kind of a cheap date, lol. but not all dates have to be expensive. since we are being creative:
Hiking and rock climbing in Joshua tree, picnic lunch, quick stop at the movie store to see if we could find something we would both like to watch, and then back to my place - innocent i swear - where i would already have a bottle of chainti chilling, and make manicotti for dinner. watch the movie, and drive you home.
kinda lame i know, but i love to cook.

| Wine bar at happy hour Posted: 1/10/2008 6:52:18 PM | I usually like to hit my favorite European wine bar and bistro by the beach here in San Diego during happy hour. Fourty bucks gets myself and my date a fantastic bottle of wine and plenty of food to enjoy. It is mellow romantic and very relaxing- all bonus for first date when you are nervous meeting someone the first time. Best of all this would cost me like over $100 during non-happy hour time and can still have a fantastic time.
Never had anyone complain about it yet :-)
That or a usually like the local German brew pub with real German and Belgian dark beer, lots of fantastic grilled bratwurst cheeses.
A date does not require an expensive meal to enjoy for two.

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/10/2008 9:36:30 PM | | Well with $40 I would bring the guest to be entertained to my house where I would cook a nice smoked salmon dinner ($25). Then I would take them to a nice local Restaurant/Bar where an awsome jazz combo plays every weekend and enjoy a nice dessert and a good cup of coffee ($15). Following we would go to an oak preserve neer my home town and we would lay on a blanket and look at the stars talking about what ever comes to mind and from there who knows. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/11/2008 8:18:06 PM | Explore some sights, Hotsprings, etc. Go off-road'n. Some 2 buck Chuck, and some finger foods. Calico Ghost Town for Pizza and drinks, watching the sunset. Dancing. Sunset at the beach and a Bonfire. Santa Monica Pier. Coronado Cosmic Bowling I can go on and on. I like that one about the Monteray... Dave & Busters... Candy necklaces, Hmm... | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/11/2008 8:21:49 PM | | Okay, That joshuatree one is kind of cool.... I'm not flirting here, Lol. It's just my kind of thing. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/11/2008 8:30:33 PM | | From very credible sources, I understand that the end of the San Clemente pier is a great place to take a date, it has a low population (compared to many beach locales), and is incredibly romantic. I haven't been there myself. I don't know their prices on drinks, appetizers, etc. , but it's just a thought. You just never know, the beach may not be crowded from people on 1st dates from POF. | |

| $40 and a date Posted: 1/11/2008 8:36:38 PM | Heck. $40 is nothing. Being with someone that's worth it, is priceless.
