it is also a double bladed sword in my case. It may make potential mates avoid me. I like to think I am not an easy mark because I post becuase it says I have been there, done that...NEVER AGAIN;however, I realize that some ladies who might have an agenda might see patterns in dating behavior and say " i will take him for as long as I get things out of him." Well I am not a mark any more, or at least not to the things I have posted. I am smarter at seeing game.

Well sure Naeco..

I picture hundreds of nasty little men and women in a smoke filled room searching for the key words that lead them to their next proposed victim.. My point is that if you learn from your past you wont repeat the same mistakes over and over.

And here I thought I made all those "rooms" smoke free........

OT.......Just because I am vulnerable at times when needed, does not mean that I am weak or stupid..........

I let others just see enough of me to know that I exist and am real, but not enough to take advantage of me or what I have to say........... ......That I will leave to those "little nasty people"....

Just my opinion.......

It very well may but people who are looking for vulnerabilities instead of compatibilities are going to do so based on your profile too...even if it says nothing much at all and you never post a word.

I still get e-mails from guys who ask me if I'm looking for a lover even tho there isn't much more I can write on my profile to make it any clearer that I'm only here for the forums.

I wrote to one - count 'em - one guy because I thought it would be a miracle to find someone who possessed the same type of eye contact that I want in a partner as well as all the physical characteristics and interests. Made me stop in my tracks.

He didn't respond which at least is an indication that he wasn't a player or he could have clicked on my history and f^cked me over six ways from Sunday.

Part of me, the bored part of me thinks it would be fun to jerk those people around.

After reading all these replies I did not realize how bad it was for the opposite sex here.

But you guys after a while seems to get pretty street wise in handling all the the whack--jobs and other duds and deal with it accordingly.
To be vulnerable is letting the other player know what you have in your hand but for some they are here to a play Texas hold em poker and then there are some who are partners who like playing pinochle. ~ smile~

I'm afraid that that's life, melbasmooch. You speak, you write, you show your vulnerabilities.

Hmmm....Maybe that's why I've got no dates? I've posted on the forums too much? Well, if I'm an a**hole, then at least no-one has to date me, then.

What? Vulnerable? Us? What a shock!!

Let's face it, if we all knew what we were doing in the dating world and understood everything there was to know, we probably wouldn't need a forum

What can be gained in information is worth taking a small risk for. Respond the way you would talking to someone at party. Its the same, just more people can eavesdrop. If someone gets on your case, use em' to sharpen your claws on. I had one woman try to start something within my first couple posts. I always try to be civil, but sometimes they're really asking for it, so I finished it and never saw her again. You'll do fine. If someone roughs you up for no reason let me or Deacon know and we'll land on em'.

Just my opinion

A person is only as vulnerable as they allow themselves to be . .
Without Common Sense . . Intelligence and being able to Identify certain aspects of a Predator . .
You would be Well-advised to get a L O T of Friends opinions and obesrvations when dealing with ANYone that you're not familiar with . . !!

I don't think I've ever posted anything that makes me come off as vulnerable (which means that I probably totally have, but I digress).. it hasn't come to bite me in the a$$, so it's all good. If someone seeking to exploit that has contacted me, they've been stopmed on.. metaphorically, at least. Or.. I never even noticed their game but happened to just ship them off anyway.

I am very honest in my posting. I have shared some personal bits about my life and I happy to do so if it helps someone become better equipped to handle their own situations and maybe not make the same mistakes on I have.

With that said, I think my posts are pretty candid and my communication style is direct, so for any man who reads my posts and forms the opinion that I am an easy mark, I would have to form the opinion that he is an idiot.

"con" others out of sex, money, and material goods

I have no money or material goods...

and I can't get anyone to con me out of sex.

Guess I'm safe.
Dang it.

Well considering what I say in these forums is what I would say in real life if asked, I am not concerned at all.

They will find out what an @sshole I am sooner or later
