| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 1/10/2008 3:58:01 PM | To go to Ireland in the long term.
Short term: Find a person who doesn't jump to ridiculous conclusions, make hysterical assumptions, and has a reasonable grip on their emotions.
I know, I know. Fuh-getta-bow-dit!

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 1/11/2008 7:40:06 PM | See a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game in Lincoln, NE See a Penn St. game before Joe Pa retires *would also consider seeing a Michigan or Notre Dame home game but they're not in my top 2*
Attend a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, a Red Sox game at Fenway Park...maybe a Yankees home game...but I'd be rooting for the other team!
Go to Prague, CZ...to see where my relatives came from, New Zealand for the beauty of the land, Australia...gotta see those koalas in nature, and Alaska to see the polar bears before they are lost to mankinds idea of progress
Attend a Dido concert, prowess my undying love for her and hope she'll run away with me to attend the things on the list above
(Would also be willing to rebound with Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, or Evangeline Lilly...will even offer to empty my life's savings to sweeten the deal!) hehehehe
Of course if none of the above are able to get time off (lol) from their busy touring and filming schedules I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing to meet a girl while doing these things alone...Heck, maybe it'll happen early on in the list...then she could join me for the rest of the journey! (I do hope she'll have a great affinity for animals, sports, and travel...and not just be lookin' to score on my 401k account!) *sigh* hehehehehehehe

I've been to 15 of the U.S. states, to Germany, Poland, Mexico, Czech Republic, did a stint in the Army (was mugged), had my heart broke 3 times, driving my 3rd pickup truck now, tried 420 years back, passed out from trying to drink a 5th by myself, (a real light weight), rode my ten speed on the freeway, Got a tattoo on a dare, flew by myself to Louisiana when I was 12 to see my Dad, went four wheeling up at Huntington Lake, survived a motorcycle accident on the freeway, also in my truck I spunn out on the freeway in the rain doing 60 mph and hit nothing ...a miracle! I dunno... maybe get married would be something different... Definately go and see the movie!!!

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 1/14/2008 2:24:32 AM | Barbe...pretty amazing to have not seen this topic around before. Good one.
I actually had a list like this published in a magazine, when I was about ten years old. I have managed to tick off a bunch of what my ten-year-old brain wanted to do, but there are some from the list that still stand and I would still like to do them.
My current list (in no particular order), or at least what I can think of right now: - Find a new woman to love, come home to, and shower with affection who is maybe not perfect, but perfect for me - Figure out all the keys to said woman's happiness, and do whatever is within my power to assist her in achieving it (without doing it all for her - meaning, knowing when to not help) - Travel to all the places I want to go but have yet to reach (Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Spain, Italy, Costa Rica, Greece, Alaska...and pretty much anywhere else that I discover to be worth visiting) - Travel repeatedly to places I have enjoyed (London, Tokyo, Cabo San Lucas, etc.) - Skydive - Scuba dive - Go to space (I figure it should be well affordable before bucket kickoff) - Race a car in an actual race - Hang glide - Go ballooning - Rock climbing - Deep sea fishing - Surfing - Own an all-electric vehicle - Design a top ten product in my field - Try my hand publicly at standup and/or improv - Write a book and get it published (by a publisher, not vanity press) - Invent something worth inventing, and take it all the way to being a viable product - Read everything worth reading (hey...no one said they had to be achievable!) - Avoid growing boring

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 1/14/2008 3:50:22 AM | Doing exactly what I'm doing right now. Letting the housework go for a while. Sleeping when I want. Eating when I want.
Bottom line is I'm scared. Waiting for results that so far are only "pre-cancerous cells and not cancerous ones...so good we caught it in time". Heard it all before. That's the mininalistic line so many people I've lost in my family were also told. One at the age of 55.
Have a curious knack for getting what I wish for. Once, so very long ago I wished I could join them. Hope it's not the case. Hope I don't get my post deleted as pity/self-attention seeking etc.
Hope it all works out just fine. Then at least I can say I had a good time posting to the threads in a manner I'm not ashamed for other people to read. Didn't bug anyone to come and help me. Didn't do anyone else any harm.

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 1/21/2008 12:43:51 AM | Get over my fear and ride in a helicopter. Fall in love with someone who falls in love with me. Attend The Olympics. Party in Louisiana's Mardi Gras. Samba in Carnivale. Rent an outrageously expensive suite, maybe Atlantis, and dine on outrageously expensive gourmet food and drink. Own a Russian Blue. Have a great vacation in Orlando Florida (that one's coming true soon) Meet an idol or famous person who's work I enjoy very much. Make someone's dream come true. | |

Get over my fear and ride in a helicopter.
Better yet, take flying lessons.
Attend The Olympics.
I went to one event and ended up sitting next to mother of one of the racers. She definitely made it more interesting.
Fall in love with someone who falls in love with me.
It's great while it lasts.

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 6/5/2008 9:55:07 AM | Haven't really made a new one since I crossed 'most everything off my OLD one!
Travel, travel, travel!! with people I love to ALL the places I haven't been (which are many!) including outer space - my childhood desire!
Live self-sufficiently on acres of land, canning my own home-grown veggies, making my own candles, soap, etc.. I always said I'd do well after an apocalyptic event (providing I haven't already been raptured! )
Love someone deeply (again!), putting all my grown-up and hard acquired wisdom to its best use.

| What's on your bucket list? Posted: 6/5/2008 7:45:13 PM | GREAT TOPIC ! I was born in Cuba and I soooo want to go back and see the beautiful Island I hear it used to be. I have pictures of my mom's who was from there . So I need for the U.S. to stop the restrictions of travel so I can go. I was a toddler the last time I was there, no memory. So number one on my bucket list depends on others..... I would like to go to Italy Learn the Paso Dobles correctly and dance for my mom before she dies, it is her favorite dance.. she has Alzhiemers Take a very long road trip, coast to coast in a motor home, or car with many stops... forgive my siblings for their lack of care for my mom all of our lives... witness a miracle.. See my grandkids as adults and happy. Be debt free this could on and on..I will stop now. | |
