If I was actually engaged to someone and plan on marrying him, I would definitely sit down and talk to him about my feelings before throwing the relationship away. It is so easy for people to say... run, drop him etc. Everyone who has ever ended a relationship, knows it is not easy to begin with, but when you are engaged and planning to marry? OP , you could be blowing it out of proportion with your insecurities. (women are known to do that!) You could be totally right too. The only way to find out for sure is just sit him down and talk to him. Tell him you have an unsettling feeling when he talks about his step sister and you wanted to clarify. Tell him if you are planning to marry, he needs to understand your concern and feelings and you need to understand his relationship/feelings about her. If he loves you, he should be willing to discuss this you. If he gets defensive, blames it all on you, then I would have concern. Another note, I had a step brother by marriage. No relationship and my step dad actually adopted him, so no blood relation with my step dad either. But I had a major crush on him when I got into high school. We never lived together as brother/sister, he was older than me. But he was hot, all the girls fell for him and he was always so sweet to me and always made me feel like I was special. But I was young and consider it a school girl thing. Of course I grew out of it. The OP and her fiance are still young. Things change as we mature.
