See I see it as that first 15 minutes actually BEING the "work". The rest is the "play"....... coasting off of the first 15 minutes of rowing you put in to set the tone..or pace. Why put in that work if you are not going to sticka roudn to reap the rewards?
I dunno.

I, personally, just try to make sure I am having a good time on a date.
I dont fake it.
I see your point exactly though. Different strokes for different folks.

Posted: 5/24/2005 12:24:41 PM | Been on here just over 3 months. Sent out a bunch of E-mails, talked with a few people on the phone and IM, but no dates from here so far.
I was going to meet one when she suddenly and kind of mysteriously disappeared. First said she double booked that night, but maybe the next day, then said she got "bad news" from the doctor and I never heard from her again, but she has still been online here. Weird, I thought, but what are going to do? Keep looking I, guess!!! Sooner or later I'll find "miss right"... | |

Just because we've had some dates that we wouldn't want to repeat? No, I think you're better off because you probably spent the time that I know at least I wasted (I'll only speak for myself)doing something more productive like regluing your insoles, cleaning your gyroscope, dusting off your lexicon, or a million of those tedious housecleaning tasks that NONE of us seem to have the time for.

Look doll, sex isn't a consolation prize for an hour of conversation that a woman may or may even be entertained by. (although I've HAD sex that seemed like a consolation prize...)
You don't fake it frosty, because men CAN'T fake it. And I don't mean sexually, I mean men can't fake having a good time, women have too good a radar for that. Unless you wanna go out with one of the desperate singles from the good girls finish last thread. You could pull almost anything on one of them and it's be "just fine".
Different strokes? Ahem...as a woman I'll reserve comment on that. I'm sure my strokes are WAY differenta from yours. Hey, I was talking about painting, ok? Geez..

My problem is I can not find that one girl that will start dancing the minute the song comes on no matter where she is at. A girl that can match my dare for dare when we’re romancing each other. A girl that can kiss like me and really enjoys life as the world becomes out of focus. I like to be vocal and often women are so protective that I just walk away. My best first day ever was when China did not like US and I met this gorgeous girl who took me deep into her country. Yes it could have cost me my life but the high with her was super, super high. It really leaves behind my other first date when we went deep sea diving and I had never had a tank on. Call it crazy but I love that kind of female. I look for that girl that can get a hundred year of living in one day and not live one day in a hundred years. I’m afraid that the US just does not have that woman anymore.       | |

It's comparing apples and oranges. You couldda had 3 dreamy dates and I couldda had 8 dates that would make godzilla look like a prince.
OK, maybe I'll ask you cuz you're a girl. I started to put a fur coat picture, not as racy as some I've seen here, just a little bare shoulder and leg...but got a red IF YOU POST NUDITY YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE BANNED, or something like that!! It's NOT nudity at all, I take tasteful pictures. THe only body parts that are showing are knees and one bare shoulder...wooowoo...do you think I should post it or is there someone I could send it to to tell me if it'd be ok to post or not??

I think this is the main reason why so many chicken out or find a way to disappear when a date is the next obvious progression in your conversations. (and one of my biggest frustrations) Heckl; if you can talk it so well, EVEN IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT, you probably CAN walk it pretty darned well too!!

It's usually someone new, and they probably send out a ton of emails, and the first few that respond, they act like they wanna meet or something, then when you've emailed and set something up they magically disappear. Either they can't handle all the responses (which is HIGHLY unlikely) or they found someone else more to their taste and just aren't polite enough to tell you. I've had guys that just up and disappeared write me 6 months, up to 3 years later, like nothing happened and they just wanna pick back up. Whaaa??
