I have been searching for a smart woman for years and have been fooled by some shysters and not by others. My dream woman can at least understand me when I talk. Or at least have a geek code. sigh | |

I would rather have a well rounded conversation that one that is above either persons head. It should also be able to include a variety of experiences. If someone doesn't know about a topic, as least be smart enough to ask some questions and learn a little bit about it. (This goes for guys and girls) | |

Posted: 2/12/2008 1:09:47 PM | Hi There, I have the opposite on these sites. Everyone wants to chat, email and/or meet up for coffee and outings. I am considered of half way decent intelligence. I do tend to chat a bit first to try and grasp an understanding of the others mindset. Then if they seem settled and geniune I'll call them. If they can without trying to make me want to laugh, think about them after I hang up or just say "yeah - why not" I'll meet with them. To the credit of most men I've met -- they understand: 1) I'm busy. 2) I have a child at home 24/7. 3) I only meet if I believe there is a possiblity for a longterm relationship and finally, 4) I do not allow men to interface with my child nor do I sneak men in after his bedtime. DENJ -- My profile is quite simple in nature ... the chat/email then phone to follow is where the next step occurs for me.
To most of the men that I've met through sites " Thank you OH Thank you for being the patient gentleman you have been. This does exclude a few of you but for the most part many many thanks  | |

One of them is "very" intelligent the other one, not as bright..and I am letting go of the one that isn't as bright...I find intelligence in a woman, to be very, very sexy...
Any guy, who fears intelligence in a woman, is a wooosy man, who wants to control someone...This type of man, wants someone that is "weak" much like themselves...Just ask yourself, why would you "fear" someone, who has a strong, intelligent, mind, of their own???

Guys who want a stay at home wife that takes care of the home and kids are going to shy away from someone who works in the legal profession (presumably long hours). | |

The guys to whom you are writing might assume that you will be too busy to give them enough time. They also might assume that you are bossy. I am a lawyer myself and have worked for big firns, so I am familiar with the stereotpyes of female attorneys. I'm not implying that such stereotypes are true for all female lawyers, but I definitely know some that fit the stereotype. | |

Taking a slight negative spin to this, my worst nightmare would be stuck with some dumb@ss who sits on the couch and watches Oprah all day just doesn't fly with me. She has to have her own mind, her own goals and ambitions and her own livelihood. If I die tomorrow I don't want someone who has no way to pick their life up and move on over time. That is the epitome of not attractive. | |
