Hi folks...just wanted to let you know about the response I received from Madness.
Hello from Madness on Bothwell St
we have been recieving calls requesting information regarding your singles night on Saturday and have found that you have suggested Madness as a place to go later on in the night.
We have noticed that you have had a great response in this night and would like to offer you deals in the future including free bubbly and possibly a free buffet which could take place on a Friday Evening (depending on notice and the amount of people attending).
I think that this is a very good offer and will be discussing with them the possibility of having the next meet there. Feedback appreciated on this one....especially after the Madness virgins have had a taste this weekend!
Now that is service! and good business. I for one am impressed by their finding out about this and following it up and making the offer which is a very respectable offer and definatly one to think about. | |

Sorry, but I can't make it to the meetup now (so I've removed my profile from the list at the start of this thread).
I'm so bummed coz I was really looking forward to it! 
As it turns out I've just been offered a great new job  - but wouldn't you know it, they want me to start right away and be on this Friday and Saturday night.
Typical timing eh?
Anyway, with any luck I'll get to meet everybody at the next meetup (which hopefully won't be too long to wait - hint hint Scrummy ), and I hope you all have a great time on Saturday (without me  :P).

Posted: 2/5/2008 3:45:12 PM | I'm definitely going but The Maltman was absolutely heaving last saturday, so if even half the people who said they will turn up actually do, it'll still be too busy! Upstairs ain't that big! Hopefully as many people as possible will arrive early and it'll be full of POF punters as opposed to regular punters.

I was shocked by the response to the event and would love to come,however I have to deliver my son back home and will probably be there for the 8'oclock time.
This is my first time attending anything like this and to be honest I have not got a clue as to what to expect.
I am a bit apprehensive as I feel that after looking at all the people going I am out of my depth here,normaly I am a confident type of guy but this is overwhelming.
Would be grateful for any help here ?
