| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 1/31/2008 10:46:44 PM | Well I do fall in lust at first site....but a crush......
I have had a few crushes but its been a long, long time until I recently had a min-crush on a girl who worked at a place I frequent. I finally got the nerve up to talk to her and I notice she has a wedding ring. Either she hadnt been wearing it or I mentally blocked it out.... Either way no soup for me....

I've never had a crush on anyone and don't intend to start now.
How sad! Crushes are how we build our sense of romance, love, affection for each other. Can you honestly say you've never been "moved" by the presence of some attractive person to the point that you dream about them and think about them constantly? If not, then I feel very sorry for you! And I wonder why?

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 8:20:44 PM | A crush on someone? Not since 6th grade. Or maybe 7th... Not giving you any flack about semantics..honestly. I don't "crush" on someone and didn't even do that in middle school. There's either interest or not, it's mutual or it isn't. I don't have the puppy dog, wide-eyed...well carrying around some feelings for someone I can't deal with or express. Maybe it's me, and maybe I'm missing something. All I know is that my idea and what I've about a crush is...from years ago. MANY years ago...just wouldn't happen.

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 9:31:10 PM | Hmmmm ... Bucsgirl ... maybe you don't remember the feeling of thinking about someone 24/7 ... Or the smile you can't wipe from your face when he walks into the room ... when you think about him ... when someone mentions him. Maybe you don't remember the fuzzy, warm feeling you had when you are spending time with him ... hoping the moment will NEVER end!!! (even if it is just a coffee!)
If you never experienced that... I'm sorry. Cause it's a WONDERFUL feeling!! And if you have experienced it ... then try to re-visit those warm, fuzzy, glorious feelings again!!
Crushes remind us of how fun and good the feeling of "love" can be. Even if it's fleeting!! It's good to feel "in love" and "infatuated" with someone. If you can bottle that into your relationship ... more power to you!!!

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 9:38:23 PM | | I think it's sad too. Crushes can be a nice think when for some reason you aren't wanting to carry it over to something else at the moment. I've had a crush on my hayman now for over4 or 5 years. He makes my day when he stops in and says " hey." I am finishing raising my last child before I get really envolved with a man. She is 16 and is my life. Hopefully, he will still be around. | |

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 9:41:10 PM | I have all kinds of crushes. It's embarrassing to admit because I'm 43 years old, FCS, but still there it is.
I have an enormous crush on a guy I've dated a few times, but there are some issues on both sides preventing further exploration.
I also have crushes on a few forum posters (mostly male) who live too far away to act upon them.
I kinda hope I never stop having crushes, it makes me feel young.

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 9:48:38 PM | m409998m1... You placed a tremendous amount of insight into your posting. I have felt as you do. I wonder if all of my years since my ex wife have been in vain really. I have a crush on one woman, and we've been thru hell as partners. She IS that woman...the mother of my children. She has moved on, and I've tried to. But when I see her, after 8 years, she really is the only person I want to truly make love to. (not just sex) She isn't high on the scale of playboy model runner ups or anything. I just know it's there. I'm embarrased to even discuss it, and I couldn't imagine telling her, after all these years. It would be intrusive, as she has moved on. Any advice? I could move on, but all other efforts seem to result in an excersise in doing what one should do, in proper terms of moving on. It's not like I pine over her, it's just that she holds that something that no-one else will give me. | |

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 9:49:03 PM | | I had an Orange Crush once. Ahhh, good times and good vibrations. It was a long time ago, when I was little Squirt, just Nehi to a grasshopper. Sadly, it had to end, as he always expected me to pick up the Tab. | |

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/2/2008 10:32:56 PM | | The last crush I can remember having was when I was 12 years old. I don't fantasize about women I don't know personally. If I do know them and find them attractive I've probably already either asked them out or ruled them out as a romantic interest for some reason. I generally only start "fantasizing" about the future after I've managed to net myself a girlfriend that I'd want to consider a future with. | |

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/4/2008 8:53:01 AM | Yes, I've got a crush on someone. A big crush, I drool over him every day for ooh...let's see now...minutes! we've never met him, spoken but briefly, had nothing in common but I can't get him out of my mind and I feel like a 16 year old all over again, I'm soooooo in love! My tummy flips whenever I see his face, I love that he is still looking back but saying nothing. Who cares whether it's real or not, I'm not doing any harm to anyone, I don't hassle him, I'm just happy I know I'll snap out of it eventually ...........hmmm....... wonder if he'd send me a life-size pic to put above my bed so I can kiss it each night before I go to sleep just like I did with Starsky out of Starsky and Hutch when I was 14) Thank god I never grew up, I'm having a blast! | |

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/4/2008 9:20:21 AM | I just read another response ...............ohhhh? LUST! (I never thought of that. Well, could be I 'spose)
Who's to say what the difference between lust or a crush is?
Love, lust, crush, infatuation......bah! who cares?
Love works on lots of different levels and isn't it beautiful in all it's forms? Just as long as you are happy............
(If it is unrequited or becomes an obsession it's not so great, that's the time to panic, buy a puppy or join an evening class or something)
*shrugs*

Yes, hon I've experienced that before but the man in question always knew about my feelings. I think the thing about crushes is the other person doesn't know about it. Or they do and don't return the same feeling.
I've only had those type of feelings when I've been involved with someone, not pining for someone who doesn't know I exist or doesn't care. I don't think that's called a crush.

As a teen it was David Cassidy I use to cry over! Right there with you Juliet.... that Palomino horse, the flowing white shirt and the beach.... oh my God the memory. Hey girl, we are really showing our age here I used to get crushes all the time when I was working. I found out though the best way to 'crush' the crush was to get on friendly terms with the 'crushee' early on. This saved all the horrible, embarrassing moments when you couldn't think straight in their presence (which had happened to me once before). Much better to be friends and laugh about 'fancying' them, then if they were single and they fancied you too, it was easy, if not it still made life easier.

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/4/2008 5:58:26 PM | Yes...I have a crush on someone and have had many in my life. The bad thing is, they never crushed me back....oh well!
It's nice to dream anyway!

| Have you a crush on anyone? Posted: 2/4/2008 8:50:45 PM | | I think it's nice when couples still have "crushes" for each other after they've been married for years. | |
