I enjoyed this thread. Great thread to resurrect!!!
As a few of my friends on here know, I have a larger than life crush on a guy on here... he's too far away to do anything about... but man, it's nice to daydream once in a while...

Posted: 5/9/2009 4:09:03 PM | I had a crush on a guy I was working with for AGES! All the women in my office knew and teased me unmercifully, which I quite enjoyed..
It got ridiculous, actually. Every time he'd come to my work to see me about something, I'd go red, run to the bathroom to check the makeup and brush my teeth, flap around...he MUST have known, but it was never reciprocated..
Anyway, you can only have an unrequited crush for so long, in my experience. After about six months of longing looks, it (the crush) suddenly disappeared. Now I'm crushless and I don't like it. | |

I had a little crush on a very young one from PoF, once, because he was wise beyond his years. And cool.
I find that a lot of guys from Texas say things that I like, and it disturbs me--I HATE TEXAS! (Texans are mortal enemies of Coloradans, FYI)

Posted: 5/14/2009 1:08:33 PM | When I was in elementary school (1st grade I think) I had a crush on a girl who thought I was weird. I don't blame her, I was a weird kid. Then I had a crush when I was in 7th-8th grade and she never knew. Oh but yet again I was a dorky kid and nothing happened. She moved after 8th grade, and I never saw her. I got over that eventually.
Then in high school I had a crush on a girl in freshman year, I think I did tell her, but she may not have understood what I said. She moved to another city the next year. That was my last what I'd call spontaneous "crush."
The only other one I can think of is someone I met from POF a little while back. She did like me back, and we "dated" for a week after professing feelings for each other, but unfortunately things didn't work out, we tried to remain friends but I think that may not be in the books either...
So much for that. But yes crushes have a way of making your day brighter when you see the person that's been giving you those butterflies inside. | |

My last one was about 8 months agp, it was a lady at work. I didn't deal with her at work so I felt it would be ok to ask her out, which is outside my box. I got the "tenders" to ask her out and she actually said yes. Well when I went to confirm meeting her, she said she thought was for business only. Talk about bummed for about a month everytime I saw her. | |

Posted: 5/15/2009 5:40:06 PM | I have always admired this guy from my local parish since the day I laid my eyes on him and a mutual friend made the excuse (on his behalf) to introduce me to him... I was rather feeling shy, awkward and nervous when I finally spoke to him... I had butterflies in my stomach and I couldn't get my mouth and brain to work. LOL. I was tongue-tied and stammered in front of him! I must have sounded like a real idiot..... He was so confident, so kind, friendly and attentive to the people around him... He was always so sweet to his mother and he was quite a very spiritual person... Unfortunately, he was already taken and in a serious long distance relationship with this Korean girl...
Two years ago, when my life was at the lowest point... During that time, my mom had an undergo surgery for radical mastectomy and another double whammy for me and my family, doctors found tumor in one of my mom's kidney... It was too much for my mother to endure the emotional pain and also, I lost my grandmother (my mom's mother) on that summer. My mom and I didn't had a chance to say goodbye to her. And also, I was having problems with other two close friends and my boyfriend... I was in emotional turmoil and felt the heavy burden on my shoulder. I remember attending the Sunday noon mass and after I was left alone at the church, praying and crying... He came over and for some reason, I started talking to him about my problems... He actually gave me a kind smile in the end and I was grateful for him that he was listening...
...Then I knew that he was one of the genuine and kindest man I've ever met... And surprisingly, he was willing to help out a complete stranger like me just to listen.... | |

I have 2 crushes as the moment. The first crush is on my daughter's teacher...............he is so smart, attractive, sharp, witty..........actually everything I'm looking for in a man. Oh and he dresses really well. Such a shame he's married............LOL
My second crush is on Josh Holloway (Sawyer) from "Lost". I just smile when I see him....................sad I know.

Posted: 5/20/2009 8:10:54 AM | I do now. I went to a family reunion/pool party(billards) this weekend. It was my best friend of 30 years F reunion.
We were practicing our pool game and in walked this incredible looking 22 year old woman(Yes I know I am too old) and I instantly turn to my buddy and say I want her as my partner so I can look at her all night long. Guess what? We drew each other as partners. So yes I played with a big stick in my hand.
Later there was another woman my age who walked in and she was smoking hot as well. About an hour later I saw her kiss some man. Dam it!!!!!! | |
