I AM the bringer of smiles and awkward moments!! It's my goal, seeing as how I'm one of the hostesses, to make everyone feel as welcome and relaxed as possible, whether they bring a friend/date or are brave enough to come alone!! brandiw, the other hostess, is responsible for this as well....so everyone make sure that she's doing her job *wink wink*

If it's anything like last time, you can just show up. Or simply walk upstairs after being at the bar downstairs chatting 'er up and drinking for 2 hours beforehand.
And then you wonder why you couldn't pronounce Molson at the end of the night.. or pretty much anything else. :D
Although you seemed to pronounce "help" very well indeed.....

If you are referring to "the incident", that was much earlier in the evening. Or, if it's the other one, yea I am surprised too. I laughed the next day, thinking back to having to say (attempt to say) Molson Light 3 times before the bartender understood me lol. | |

We were thinking that we might try speed dating before the music and mingling actually began, the next time around.
I want to thank everyone who helped and everyone that toughed out the horrible winter weather and showed up. Over all, the night was a success.
Also, to anyone that thinks they have to wait for us to organize an event for another POF gathering, they are mistaken, ANYONE who is a POF member can set up an event...you just need a time and a place. All of the rules and regulations for event planning are in the forums. | |
