| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 1:45:19 PM | You can spell but can you do calculus? I fully admit to being a math brain rather than a langauge brain. That's why I'm an engineer rather than a journalist.
Actually, we complain about smoking because it affects people who don't choose to smoke. Every time you walk through a smoke cloud outside a door, your health is endangered by someone elses choices. The same can not be said of obesity, therefor, your argument contains a flaw of logic.
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:02:54 PM | No excuse for not being able to do math either but that doesn't seem to register to many people.
Your facts are a little off. Different people gain weight in different places first. It's an individual thing but thanks for playing.
You can compain all you want and I can call you an ass for compaining about something that doesn't affect you personally. That's the beauty of this great land I live in.

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:03:38 PM | | Unless you consider we all pay into health care... although by that logic smoking hits you times 2... | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:04:12 PM | | Ummm Forum Wanderer: Suntanning is a health issue too...Perhaps I should eat less, and you should stay out of the sun. | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:07:20 PM | | This thread is starting to turn nasty just like most threads about weight / BBWs. | |
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:34:25 PM | Yes, avoiding nasty is good... especially when I'm trying to enjoy a good debate here... especially with an engineer!... I curl with an engineer, winning an argument with him is better then great sex...
So were all in agreement again... we all like great sex right?...
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 2:54:44 PM | See, I knew I liked you for a reason. You can be around an engineer long enough to curl? Engineers are a rare breed and those that can put up with us rarer still.
And hopefully, yes, we can all agree that we like great sex

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 5:34:35 PM | I kinda said all I needed to say about this a few pages back... So why the hell am I posting again? Masochist? Please Mistress, may I have another... er, ok... uhm... right!
Smoking! If you're trying to compare the damage being overweight with the damage that smoking is doing to your health, you have no freaking clue. The people in the hospital who are having Congestive Heart Failure are Smokers more often than they are overweight. Chronic Bronchitis? Emphysema? Smokers (less than 1% of Emphysema sufferers come by it naturally). The degree to which being overweight becomes a health problem is no where near that of what it is for smoking. I'm not going to claim it's "perfectly healthy" but there's absolutely no comparison.
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 6:03:18 PM | BBW with not so big tits here, and yes whoever said it was right, we dont all gain weight in the same places. And as far as heavy people eating McDonald's, you are not paying for me being overweight...No universal health care in the U.S., so I am the only one paying for it. And since this turned into a rant, here is my next comment, me smoking outside is not a health risk for someone, so why can't I do it in IL now!! And now I shall leave... P.S. I am sure I have spelling errors. | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 6:09:32 PM | I do have a rack and I am slender - LOL - My pics show my whole body, just not a sagging, hanging glob of empty torpedo shells. I won't comment on desperate, that wouldn't be the case either. So, for the BBW or obese women, please show the rest, that goes with that booby shot! PUHLEEZE! This is a case in point that strange thinking is pretty across-the-board. It's almost as if some people are genuinely OFFENDED that some people have the audacity to find something other than themselves attractive. Heavy women do it by insulting thin women. Thin women do it by insulting heavy women. It's dead obvious those particular women have been disappointed because some men - men they wanted - didn't want them.
To the quoted poster: Face it ... lots of men are seriously turned on by larger women. What's it to you? There are plenty who prefer thin. I will say, I doubt many quality guys would be too interested in anyone - young and beautiful and overweight, or middle-aged and well-baked and thin - if their personality is such that they think it's acceptable or funny to make junior high school level jokes about other people's appearance. Just saying.

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 6:14:25 PM | big or small I like 'em all....women is my favorite gender
they are better company than men, smell better and better to look at...

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 6:29:28 PM | I've dated men who have made comments about other men liking a larger woman, and it was always with an insulting slant. I really don't understand that! People are going to like different things and be attracted to different people too. So I know what the OP is referring to.
Not everyone has so-called "perfect" (vomit) genes.
This whole "fat, anoxeric, BBW, stick, blah blah blah" crap is the reason that women have such issues with their bodies in the first place.
Congrats to those who have furthered the cause.
Also, I heard the first place you gain or lose weight is your face?
For the record, I have never insulted anyone just because they made some nasty comment about me being thin. Understand that NO woman likes to hear about her weight and I am fully cognizant of how hard it is to lose weight and that it's not always as "easy" as some people think (I have a couple of friends who have fought it all their lives). I also understand that not every man on earth will be attracted to me!
Imagine..... | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 8:26:19 PM | | We did kind of get off topic here people! We are not talking about health risks of being overweight, Juju was asking if anyone else had friends that made fun of them for liking BBW's or curvy ladies! I think we lost him anyway!!!! | |
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 10:00:42 PM | | It's hard to accept differences in each other; but it's even worse if we just try to squash anything different about anyone too because we don't like it for whatever reason. If ya don't like it, just leave it and move on; wasting other's times with petty remarks is not only annoying but repetitive. | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/16/2008 10:23:09 PM | When my children were home and arguing, I always settled fights fairly.
On the count of 3 kiddies, lets all grow up, and respect each other. 1 2 3
There now, Lets all shake hands, and agree to disagree. Geesh enough already

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 8:59:29 AM | Well I guess I wouldnt want to be teased for dating a bbw... WHen I think of bbw... I'm thinking Large from the hips to the stomach... can't stand on there feet for very long and so on... ... I don't find myself huge... I go to the gym, I love going out, getting active and so on... When I see bigger people, I feel sorry for them. How can you let yourself get to that weight? I'm just glad that I dont have health issues... And when I see older men, looking for a specific type of women (and you look at there profile) I feel like saying look at yourself first...eeck!
On a last note, I might not of made sense here but oh well...
Well thank god for the gym!

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 9:54:43 AM | | Why should someone have to look at them self to want something? If a large person wants a skinny person or vice versa power to them... no one has to justify what they want... they just have to find a way to get it! | |

I hope not because I damn sure will never be bald or have type of broad shoulders I like on my guys.

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 10:29:31 AM | | Why did you care what people thought in the first place? That was the real problem. | |

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 10:41:27 AM | the insults and arguments instead of rational discussion that i've seen on this thread just enforces my belief about social programming via the media. if you ever want to be truly free, both in your mind and in your heart you will have to leave all that nonsense behind. if you don't you'll just get dragged deeper and deeper into the media made illusion and you'll become a worse person for it.
i stopped posting on this thread when i saw which direction it was taking, i would say only 60 percent of the posters actually contributed to the discussion, others just wanted to be sarcastic or belittle other posters. now you see the problem as i see it, regarding society and people who are different, not just larger ladies or larger men but anyone who doesn't 'conform' to what the majority of society deems 'normal'. i will continue to enjoy the company of larger ladies, regardless of what anyone says. i will also enjoy the company of slim ladies, curvy ladies, petite ladies etc, and i will see them all equal in desirability and sexiness, because i see the truth.
a quick verse from one of my favourite sum 41 songs called 'fat lip' seems a perfect ending for this, my last post on this thread............
I don't want to waste my time become another casualty of society. I'll never fall in line Become another victim of your conformity And back down.

| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 10:43:19 AM | 60% is damn good for a forum discussion!...
And K, totally agree with you because I don't want to date a woman... with a penis... but bald is okay
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 11:03:13 AM |
Like I mentioned earlier, there is a huge difference between being curvy and being a BBW / obese. Many men would date a woman that is curvy or a few pounds overweight, but aren't attracted to extremely overweight women.
Aaah but whose perception? That was my point about the show... and why I was surprised. If I were to go to a Doctor... I'm considered Obese... so I also consider myself a BBW. I was on a date and he looked over at me and said " you're not a BBW you are beautiful" I explained why I considered myself a BBW He said he'd consider me average.
This Is why I was suprised when they put a body shot up in time square and men loved her curves...
|
| Teased for liking bbw's Posted: 1/17/2008 11:07:12 AM | | The problem with being medically obese is that the BMI is totally screwed at the moment... I'm 6 feet tall with a medium bone structure and it says I should way 155 pounds... I've been at 150 and I look like a skeleton... | |
|

Weight / body type is subjective only up to a certain point. If a woman is 75-100 lbs overweight, then she is clearly obese. She would weigh a lot more than most other women. Now some men might think she is good looking. Attraction is subjective.
