^^^I agree with nordic33708...I am the same way after a while of being involved, it levels off, and I need to catch back up on my life and whatever else went by the wayside when I met the new person.

One reason I am not involved is that I tend to need alone time or time doing my own thing and most people take offense to that for some reason. It's almost better not to go there than to have to explain it constantly.

There are totally days when I want to just chill and spend time alone, but it's never personal to anyone else, it's just what I need.

strawbs: thanks, it's just that its a noticable difference, no 'going through' anythin but my own nuerosis.

I'd just like to say that it has been really refreshing knowing that there are other people out there who have been in similar situaions and who are willing to share their experiences and insights here. I'm sure I'll be back with other questions, knowing they are taken seriously, considered, and thoughtfully advised here in the forums..
THANKS TO ALL!!

Nordic, great toy analogy!

But I still find that some toys getting boring faster than others. And to compare it to hobbies, they come and go. But after all these years, muffed tee shots, chips, putts and all, I still love to golf.

Dating can be a pain in the butt simply because it takes time to know a person, time you don't get back if it doesn't work out. But then again, as long as you are embracing the journey and not the destination so much, then we you won't miss out on all the goodies to find along the way.

You know what the problem is....
Men suck. They are a bunch of hype, but can't deliver.
If I could be with a women-I would, but I can't do it.
So, I will be my own friend.
Conair will be my pleasure ;)
Sad, but better than all the emotional drama.

so... I talked to him about this today. And I feel a little better knowing it's nothing personal, he's stressed at work and enjoys his time to "relax" after. I just told him the weeks feel really long when I dont see him save weekends and he was totally cool, and said he could tell somethin was bothering me.

Communication is key, I'm glad we talked about it and its out in the open.

No - it's not all about the chase, but it sure can be the up side of being single! lol If I were to ever settle down again that is what I would miss. Of course it would be worth it, but that excitement is awesome.

I'm sure it can't be much different for you ladies though. Don't you just love it when you have a great date scheduled for the weekend and you're literally sitting at your desk all week counting down the days? :)
