I am supposed to be compatable with Scorpios but I find them to be way too intense, lacking in self control. They are very extreme. They are always in a relationship though. Pisces people are hard to capture.
I agree that there are many divorced Leos, I've seen them all over this site, more than any other sign. I don't deal with them, they are very selfish & self centered. | |

Posted: 1/26/2008 10:04:19 AM | I found that I get along great with both male & female Leos. My husband & I were together for 23 yrs before he died. I'm a Cancer which means home/family means a lot to me. We got along great. He died at 46 so who knows if he would have went on to having a midlife crisis.
When I was on Match 2 yrs ago, all I came across were Libra men. I talked to quite a few and asked why that was. No one could tell me.
I've since seen an increase in the Gemini men being on sites. My ex b/f is a Gemini and he truely didn't know what he wanted. Dual personality-absolutely! I try to stay away from them now.
This thread is a lot of fun-different takes on everything. I guess from what I've read, similiar signs make the best partners - air to air-water with water, fire with fire, etc.
If a man is looking for a woman who likes to tend to her man/family/friends/home etc, I think that would be us Cancers.

Posted: 1/28/2008 6:11:01 PM | I have studies astrology, eastern and western for a while. I think western astrology is useless if you only look at your sun sign. I have my entire chart and I'd say its a pretty good description of me. The sun sign thing wouldn't tell you anything useful in relationship terms.
I find in general Eastern (Chinese) Astrology is far better predictor of character. In some cases people are refered to buy their chinese sign by someone who dosen't know what it is. For example 'You're a cheeky monkey', 'Your mother is a dragon', 'Whoah, easy tiger' and so on.
I am a dog and I occasionally growl. No doubt its something I've affected from my sign, but it suits me well. | |

Two big astrological markers for divorce...
Venus/Uranus in aspect to each other...or Venus or Mars in Gemini.
People with Mars in Gemini are often married more than once...and have been known to dabble on the side. | |

Although the % has raised tremendously since the 60's.
I'd say that there are more sociological issues at hand.
People who obtain a Doctorate (MD, PHD, etc) have a higher chance of divorce if they get it after the marriage. :P
The more intelligent/educated we are, the more self-embodied we are.
The more we fight our biological natures, the higher our stress levels and the stronger our dissatisfactions are.
The further the gender roles in a companionship get mixed, the more we lose our identity as a 'parental type'. Maybe our vision of being parents, given by our parents, is destroyed because we forgot to mix the relatinship differences with the vision of our spouse.
A man from a happily married family, with siblings, riased on good 'christian' family values. He's educated but slowly working on graduate and post graduate desires. Roles are set.... Now let this man meet a woman whose family is broken for 4 generations of divorcees. She's an only child. She had to become self-reliant and trusts noone. All for one and one is her.. and she's working on a PHD.
Mix together and what do you get? Utter doom.
Had they both seen these hidden traits, they might have realized that their white picket fences werent built with the same materials?
I never knew she was from a multi-generational divorcee family until after the marriage. The single child thing wasnt important at the time. I didnt realize how anti-relationship friendly her upbringing was. 5 living relatives and 1 of them is "Banned" from her family?!?!??! Shesh. We have a Black sheep and invite him for Xmas. I dont understand the concept.

She is on the Cusp of Aquarius/Pisces
Virgo's are supposed to be attentive lovers. Awesome cuddlers and women are supposed to love that aspect about us. LoL.. I think she hated that aspect.

People create their future not the stars.
Don't most people find themselves after 30? Or people often find themselves after a divorce! Probably because it was all meant to happen for that reason. So we find out who we are. The same person we were when we were born-Pure Love - but we all got scared and forgot.
Maybe more female Leo's are poor after divorce and cannot afford the pay dating sites!
Check your chart and see if Leo's are likely to be screwed in a property settlement??

Maybe your observation is because of the fact that Leos tend to be self centered. So when they aren't happy they leave.
I had an ex (Aquarius) whose ex was Leo. He really still cared about her. I think the fact she was self centered attracted him. He was always trying to make her happy.
I tried to bend over backwards to please him. I would have been better off just doing my own thing ... he probably would have chased me ... instead of her. | |

I got mine after the divorce. It wouldn't have helped to have gotten it before. The problems that split us up were there long, long before. And I was married to a Sag. Libra/Sag is a very compatible pair--and we were also compatible under the Chinese astrology, too, so there is no guarantee based on that. It's all about how much care and feeding go into the relatonship during the child-rearing years.

Infidelity in a defect of character, not astrological. The spiritual nature of the true pices prevents her/him from swaying. Yes, we can be indecisive. Yes, we can be easily swayed (largely due to our need for peace and traquility --- our oneness with nature) but we have a HALLOWED respect for relationship(s). My last gf was a Capricorn... and I've gotta say they can be bossy as hell. And arguements sprout outta NOTHING!! Guess we just wern't compatable at the end of the day.
But yeah any good stories of any Cancer people? (the astrological sign- don't tek t piss lol)
And personally- my absolute best relationship EVER was with a gal who was Cancer as well... and we're still friends to this day!!... so yeah I have to say this whole Astro stuff... seems to make a fair bit of sense.

I agree. It's a silly question to begin with. We should have a separate subforum for astrology questions. There sure have been a lot of them lately. The time and location of your birth have NOTHING to do with your ability to stay married. It would just as silly to ask which eye color most divorced people have. There is simply no correlation, so it's pointless to bring it up. | |
