I don't think Favre is going to retire with his last pass being an interception in OT during the big NFC game. The Packers are a young team and I think he'll come back for another season.

Green Bay were very poor. Their secondary was outplayed by Manning & Burress, they gave up on the run too early (but for some strange reason chose to persist with those pathetic swing passes to the RB), Favre threw poorly (despite the GB offensive line giving him plenty of time and the NY secondary being banged up), the intercepts were shockingly bad and the Pack were outplayed in terms of kick/punt return numbers.

For the most-part, the Giants played quite well... But it doesn't bode well for them that despite playing well they were still less convincing winners than New England who played pretty badly against San Diego.

Well.....
That sad performance kinda reminded me - a lot, actually - of the Houston Oilers in the late '80's and early '90's.
When they were, in practically every game, on the receiving end of more bad calls than the entire rest of the NFL put together.
Toomer's catch wasn't a catch.
The first angle (which was, mysteriously, not shown again) showed very clearly that his left toe came down in bounds, he's got the ball, then his elbow hits out of bounds BEFORE he drags the right toe.
That drive where the Pack had something like 3 or 4 huge penalties in a row was a joke.
Why doesn't the ref just say, 'ok, we're going to put the ball on the 1 inch line for you until you punch it in'.....?
Nothing against the Giants - quit knocking Eli, you New Yorkers, he's doing an awesome job - but the help they got from the refs last night was a disgrace.
Lending, once again, creedence to the theory that the NFL season is essentially just one big long scripted movie.

On the upside, that frees up February 3rd for more fruitful activities than watching the Soup Bowl circus show.

Hey wolfiie 65
As I recall you said............bye bye Giants.

That catch you talk about Toomer was a catch and a very good one. Very clear in the replay.
And as to penalties your kidding me right? What about the touch down they called back on the Giants, an offensive holding penalty that you never saw in the Video clip.
What about all the taunting by Green Bays , Harris (I think his name was anyway) and I thought he was no# 81 also. He was taunting Giants no# 17 all game with no penalties. Burress just kept putting his hands up after being tired of him most of the game.
