| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 2/26/2008 1:59:40 PM | That is the most ridiculous/retarded response I have ever heard. Being there and succumbing to your own insanity is no excuse for being repulsive and indignant.
Additionally, while there is no comparison between the violence of men and women, perhaps a woman should take that into account before she puts her hands on one.
Welcome to reality. | |

Well, I must beg to differ. Women can be just as violent as men. The presumption that males are more violent is simply a prejudice.
Also, the consequences for a male engaging in violence against a female make it totally not worth it for a man to do anything but run from a woman who's acting out. The momentary satisfaction from hitting back is just not worth the jail time of up to 3 days prior to arraignment, up to 90 days for a first conviction, the $10,000+ in fines, the 3 years of probation, the 52 consecutive weeks of DV counseling at up to $80 a pop, the likely loss of job and home, and the unending stigma of being known as a wife-beater.
Yes, when a man loses it his upper body strength often leads him to cause more serious injuries, but women are just as capable of maiming or killing as men. Also, men don't report violence against us because to do so is presumed weak. We have no good figures on the incidence of female-on-male violence or injury. However, it is much more prevalent than the reports would indicate.
When the police answer a DV call, if they just arrest the man they might well be arresting the victim. They need to investigate and not just presume. More of them are doing that now, and more and more women are being subjected to the same consequences listed above--except for the wife-beater label of course.
The escalation of violence works the same way for women as it does for men. The next guy who p*sses off the OP is likely to see worse from her.

Posted: 2/26/2008 7:32:05 PM | Listen to the users - Do not contact him, and don't let him contact you - I have been in your situation, and when others say he will keep sucking you in, keep playing on your emotions and your mental state, of not wanting to be alone, he will just keep on doing this over and over again.
Don't be childish or immature about it, the hurt is real, but this is also a form of emotional abuse. And he isn't the only one he is playing this game on - he is playing it on that other girl too!
Be the adult, and lose contact, let yourself heal, so you can give YOURSELF a chance at a better relationship in the future. Show yourself, you can live without his type of "love".

| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 2/26/2008 7:58:46 PM | Well you definately got some experiences out of that relationship. You need to move on and as quickly as possible. How much time do you have of your life to waste on someone that makes you so crazy to the point of malicious destruction? Are you really wanting that kind of drama in your life?
You don't need that and if you are really serious about getting that pain out of your chest than do what you need to do to get rid of it. Don't let him back into your life. Get a grip and do all the things that make you NOT think of him as much as possible. The moment he comes to mind, remember he is just a player and obviously doesn't have any respect for you or the so called relationship he had with you. Men crying to come back after cheating, hmmm? Now that deserves consideration, no I dont think so.
I think you need to get some attention from other men to reboost your ego and self-esteem. Even if you arent ready to be in another relationship. You dont want miss the right man for you, while you are spending all of your time missing the wrong one.

| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 3/5/2008 2:34:57 PM | I feel this poor woman was with a pathological man and reacted with rage. Normal people react with rage when they have been played or cuckholded. For most women, sex love and intimacy are sacred, though they may not use that word. If she'd had access to a therapist just then or someone who understood psychopaths and the women who love them ((often women in need, big hearted, rescuer types) she might have chosen a different action.
I googleed "revenge" and found that there are two sites people can write up their pathological exes. One is for cheaters, called Women savers.com. The women there might not attack the tread author so vehemently, there are forums. Another is dating Psychopaths.com for both sexes. Write a description and read the forums if you've been mangled this way. They are helpful to get over the rage of being lied to and betrayed by the man you believed in ,or woman and trusted. No one knows what they'd do in her shoes and many murders are between people who know and once loved each other. Her truck smashing tho not laudable is a "crime of passion."
Glad she did his truck and not him. Passionate people do passionate things. I'm glad she didn't harm herself. No one seems to get upset at pathologicals when their partners turn rage inside and "off" themselves. This happens. Maybe if all the daters went back to the 10 commandments, the 11th, the judeo-christian ethic, and the words of Christ, we'd all be better off. Not to say you have to be a church goer... the rules given in the bible, the basics, make sense, huh? The older we get, the clearer we can see.
As for the damaged woman who flamed me. Therapists and life coaches get 95 an hour, health care professionals don't work for free, but many wish they could. I'm quite poor and try to work with damaged women because of training and life experience. There are many people with personality disorder out there. They are hard wired and CANNOT DO NOT CHANGE. Some of us have been through the fire, educated ourselves and know how little there is out there to help understand how to identify pathological people. My work has always been helping women and children, and now I have a specialized interest in female victims of verbal/emotional abuse.

| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 3/6/2008 6:23:38 AM | | Are most of the people on this site this sick?? I gave up drama like this back in school. Whenever I feel I have problems dealing with life I come on here and read the forums. It always makes me feel better that whatever my issues are at the time, they can't hold a candle to the totally dysfunctional behavior( both men and women) that I read about on here. I know dysfunctional, my last wife was and is a raging alcoholic, but to get someone fired for a indiscretion?? Hope my kids never have to deal with your kids. You are right this is a dramatic POF tragedy, that people with this kind of behavior exist, both you and the boyfriend | |

| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 3/6/2008 6:55:50 AM | | I think you are a phsycho and a crimminal destroying the personal property of others. Thats just messed up. and you got back with him full knowing he is a cheater and still cheating. There is somethign wrong with you mentally! I guess some people want to get f-ed over on and want to retaliate through childish pranks and vandalism. Waht will you do next time eggg his house or smash his house windows in? TP his trees? If I were the guy I would have pressed charges and you know what. the guy would have won. Cheating is not a crime unless you are married then you cna sue them for possesions but vandalism is a crime. And you caused him to lose his job. he sounds unbalanced for taking you back and having emotional problems he is very needy. You sound mentally unstable. You have issues! | |

Okay since people are wondering WHY he didn't call the cops and have me arrested is becuase I had HUGE bruises on my arms from a couple days earlier when he got crazy with me for wanting to leave him. YES the ***hole was abusive too! I stayed with him after 3 incidents... the 3rd was the last .... I made sure of that. I AM NOT getting back with him. I had a moment of weakness and just wanted to post this to get some comfrt and advice.... So he didn't call the cops because we'd BOTH end up going to jail, and I have noooo criminal record and surprise he does... OMG DRAMA QUEEN !!!! Grow up woman. You are bringing this pathetic story on here looking for attention, well congrats you got it, but I hope you don't think this is positive attention. Your not looking for comfort and advice, your not looking to grow up and your sure not looking to figure out why this happened.
I can tell you this, it happened because he had sex with someone else, men have sex, that's what they do. You claim he abused you, well then you should have called the cops. You didn't and your bloody lucky he didnt call them on you because I can tell you right now, they would not have cared about what you claim he did several days ago. they would care about the criminal and childish act you had just committed. I hope he does drag you to Judge Judy, You deserve to be embarrassed for your actions. A REAL MATURE ADULT would say damn , i was wrong, i know you cheated but i had no right to destroy your property and your income. Let me at least fix your truck then we go our seperate ways. Call it a day then move on. Be responsiable for your own actions, and don't blame others for your actions.
As for dating,. give it up til you grow up, other men arn't going to want to play with your drama, and sure aint going to want to deal with your emotions or lack of responsibilty. Get yourself some counselling, and stop living life like your in hollywood, i doubt your paris hilton and she's pretty pathetic... and you know what this story isnt funny in the least its absoulty PATHETIC...

You know, I used to work with male domestic violence offenders, and they to a man would justify their crimes by saying, "she p*ssed me off, she made me do it."
AceofSpace, Lack of anger management is at the crux of the entire 7 page thread. If you cannot convince violent men and women of the simple saying that follows, they are doomed to keep on repeating the same insane behavior. What is that saying?
THERE IS NOTHING ANYBODY CAN SAY OR DO TO MAKE ME SAY OR DO SOMETHING I KNOW IN MY CONSCIENCE IS WRONG.
Make that your mantra and say it over and over again the next time another human being pisses you off. You will feel better about yourself and maybe, just maybe, you'll earn enough karma to come back as a more advanced species in your next life, Like say a dolphin?

You love this guy, why allow her to keep him. Depower her, which means do not ever, repeat evermention her again. See him, but always keep your eyes open for someone else.
A woman in love have many different avenues, Do not close the door on him, You will be miserable.
Just my two cents. | |

| A Dramatic POF Tragedy - Real life! I swear! Posted: 3/6/2008 11:26:33 PM | What you did was ILLEGAL, what he did was not!! Just drop his ass and move on! He obviously proved he is a liar, so what do you want to be with a liar for? All of that said, I had a somewhat simular situation with a woman, turns out she was still seeing her ex, so I told her to GO!!! That was that. Why are you STILL listening to his ideas in the first place? Like I said, he already proved right to you that he is still a liar! | |
