Not all guys do, I've seen some females act like they're holier than thou or act like they're God's gift to men. K just cuz some of ya females got the model look doesn't mean you're ALL THAT and vice versa with us guys too.

as for your situation that guy was stupid to miss out getting to know you. I hope you find someone that really cares about you.

The big ego is not gender-specific. What I have noticed in my life, especially since my mother let me in on the secret years ago, is that those who toot their own horn the loudest do so because they feed off the attention of others. Their insecurities make them hunger for validation of their worth in the scheme of life. What they don't seem to realize is that the people who are laughing are usually laughing at them, not with them.

In the case of the OPs exbf, it probably isn't a matter of ego, but of youthful quest for more instead of quality.
