Like WOAH!! Yes, the piercing is a plus. A smooth ball-stud is the best. When wielded by someone who's already orally skilled it's a mind bottler***big grin***....yeah, that's what I said, you'll feel like your mind is trapped in a bottle....Feels like loose ball-bearings moving independently from her tongue....sheer madness....
BTW--if you can't convince your girl to have a spike driven through her tongue, a couple of skittles make a pretty good substitute. ;-D

I had my tongue pierced 18 months ago and after the first few days it was healed just like any piercing once healed there is no risk of infection. I think I used 2 bottles of listerine mouth wash during 4 days not for cleanliness but it helped with the discomfort. | |

They weigh very little and light things don't 'clank' and TBH from where most tongue bars are placed you'd have to have a tongue the length of a lizard to get the bars to reach to 'clank' anyway | |

Pierced tongues are breeding grounds for bacterial fungus so keep them clean folks lest you end up with a nasty infection.
gum's are a lot worse than a pierced tongue ...if you have to worry about bacteria in your mouth you have bigger problems and need to learn to brush your teeth/mouth
if its septic in there you are going to have problems with or without a hole in your tongue | |

I took it out many years ago, but I still have scar tissue on my tongue. I can feel where the piercing was. From the feedback I remember receiving, some liked it with, some without. If you don't know what you are doing orally before you got the piercing, it won't make a different anyway. | |
