Well I am packed and ready to go. I switched around my hours so I could get Friday off, so Asherstx and I will be at the campsite in the morning!!! Whoo hooo....

We're defiantly going to have to mix it up a little, maybe country hour, jazz hour, rock hour and rotate...

Everybody bring wood just incase. My mechanic had a fire going outside of the shop last night while I was there switching cars around. Oh it was sooooooo nice.  A few fires around us like while we're camping, and we will be toasty warm!! | |

Posted: 2/28/2008 9:02:21 AM | I had a little scare the other day and was worried I'd have to cancel on the camping trip, but everything is fine now! My car had started overheating but I finally got it fixed, well temporarily fixed, but enough to get me there and back! (The things we'll do to have fun with friends!) So I am very very ready for this weekend! Thunderstruck, hope you will have that bar fully stocked! I'm gonna need something strong!

Posted: 2/28/2008 9:13:54 AM | Well as long as I don't drink too much Friday night, and am not too hungover and tired Saturday I am up for whatever...lol.
My buddy is bringing his 4-wheeler, so I might want to get some of that in on Sat. As well as a game or two of horse hoes and maybe even some volleyball. Probably some fishing here and there off the bank, while others I'm sure will be renting canoes. If the weather warms up enough I will probably be by the pool during the day, and keep the games for the evening. I am bringing cards and some games for the evenings around the fire, and I know someone is bringing his guitar, so the evenings are set.
I hear you about the vehicles. I just got my truck out of the shop yesterday, so I am ready to go!!! | |

Sorry guys, but females only!  I just hope my car holds out on me. I just started it up and its making a funny noise when I shut it off. My friend had to put a toggle switch on the cooling fan and he at first hit the ignition by mistake, I'm hoping there is just a crossed wire somewhere that one of the guys down there will be able to fix for me. I know of at least one mechanic that will be there.  Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! | |

Posted: 2/28/2008 5:09:33 PM | | hey gene,,, there seem to be spots open near the pavilion, not sure what type of campers can go there. because mines in the back of my truck, they are letting me park mine with the tenters.. but all the site look pretty good. trees for shade and all. i'm going to see how the fishing is tomorrow,,, the kind with hook and line. heavens breath (pam) is here with me ( and she is playing with all the gagits in the dance hall.. free computer use here, or you can use a lap top, but that cost 5 dollars a day.. canoe rental is 30 dollars for 2 hours 40 for half day, and i think 50 for full day. i br0ught some wood, but the more people being the better our lil bonfire will be.. its lil after 8 pm. beautiful place, and quiet... well, least till donna gets here, heheheheheh,, kidding donna. can't wait to see you all tomorrow, and the rest on sat. | |

Looking on the site map, the closest ones to our pavilion seam to be sites 145 - 150. So try to check them out. Also 120 - 125 are close too, but not as close as the other ones. You can go to the website and click on site map and see which ones fit best for you...though our pavilion is kinda....well...off in the boonies...lol. So there aren't really any site REAL close :)

My friend Mike is coming along, and bringing his 4 - wheeler. He is my mechanic, and the best one I've ever had, I'm sure he would be happy to take a look while you are there, and hope you make it!!!!

I have Sprint service which doesnt always get the best signal, but its fine out here for anyone else with Sprint. Im hoping several of us can pair up for the canoeing as its $30/2 hr; $40/4 hr. and $60 till dusk. Also, the lantern isnt working as its just sat too long.....anyone got an extra one?? There is a front coming through during the day on Saturday. A slight chance of rain (10%) but no real drop in temps--still going to be warmer than Friday night.

I love them both dearly but momma needs a break!!!!! I don't care if I just sit there and read a book all weekend I'll have a great time. But everyone seems so nice I think I'll do more than just read a book, I'll make some wonderful new friends! | |

I have my big tent, another one for Kim, one for thirdtimearound if she is still coming, and three extras. I have 6 extra twin sized air mattress. Can't guarantee a perfect nights sleep as I think my son (17) told me one had a slow leak. it will be like Russian roulette with air to see who sinks to the ground first
I am bringing 7 tikti torches, with canisters and citronella oil, and my copper fire kettle, a bundle of wood, hopefully people will bring more.
I had to sample my rum and cokes when I got back from the stores and a few tid bits of food...mmm mmm can't wait. I am bringing some steaks. Kim has hamburger, we have hot dogs, salads and sorry about the corn in the husks......I couldn't find any.
missedplacedcowboy: YOU are right,,,, the silence will be broken once I arrive..... ......JAZZ music will mellow me out , but not until Taxman gets there..........

I am sorry to hear that you won't be coming. I have met you a few times through events with the Fun Coast Singles Group a couple of years ago. You would have been a great addition to this camping trip, fun, smart, and adventurous......Hope you can make the next one.
I woke up this morning excited. Stilling throwing this and that in a pile to go in the bag. I have rackets-birdie, nurf football, cards, dice...
The weather is already getting warmer. I can't wait to get out there. Hope the day goes fast..................
