| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/27/2008 9:24:17 PM | It comes back in April for about 4 more episodes. Then it's off till the fall. Crazy but that's what happens when you try to tell a story with a writer's striking taking place.
Has anyone come up with any new theories about what's been happening?
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/28/2008 8:19:23 AM | ugh ya no kidding. its so damn frustrating. but go figure, everyone wants more money. i just want the strike to be over. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/28/2008 9:25:53 PM | Strike's over. Has been for a couple weeks now. It took it's toll on every scripted show. But we'll get back on track eventually.
Everyone have a great weekend!

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/29/2008 8:52:13 AM | Cabnsyrah,..... thanks for the timeloop link .... VERRRRRY interesting read!! I thought the little blurb about the fellow who met Hurley in the institutions name was interesting..... Abbadon? Hebrew for keeper of the abyss? hmmmmmmmm. Just happens to be where that plane is right? and he said he worked for Oceanic? | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/29/2008 3:09:44 PM | Panther~ I missed that part. Where is it on the site? There's a ton there to read and digest. You've sent me off on another search for the meanings of all the biblical character names....Michael, Jacob, Matthew, Rachel, Aaron, Benjamin. There goes another Saturday afternoon. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 3/29/2008 10:40:10 PM | | sorry CabnSyrah it isn't on the site it was on the replay of the previous weeks episodes when they give the little captions at the bottom with tidbits of info. Like names of books people read, who the scientists were others were named after ( ie Faraday) and other names, something else used the number 815 or 8 and 15 too but I can't remember at this point UGH., how people are connected without knowing, Jin and Sun in Korea with the TV on in the background with Hurley winning the lottery, things like that. I believe they call them Easter eggs LOL | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/1/2008 10:02:17 PM | *This is the most shocking spoiler by far: the man in the coffin is Locke. Somehow, against his will, Locke is made to leave the Island along with the Oceanic 6 (he is not included amongst their number). Upon his return to the real world, John loses his ability to walk, as he feared, and resumes his tragic life of solitude and depression. Rumor has it that after a desperate attempt to return to the Island that results in a death, Locke realizes that he never be able to get back. Broken and alone, he commits suicide by hurling himself from an eighth-story window (in an ironic parallel to the event that paralyzed him in the first place). His coffin is prepared for a viewing, but only Jack arrives, out of guilt for realizing that Locke was right about the freighter and about the Island (in Jack's point of view, at least).
Hmmmm could be,... | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/2/2008 2:24:17 AM | | the first season was decent, but now if i watch it i wanna get lost myself | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/2/2008 9:22:44 PM | An interesting suggestion as to who may be in the box... but I'll wait to see if that's right nor not.
Something happens between Kate and Jack along that time line too. They don't want to see each other when we see them in the first flash forward. But they want to be together in one that takes place later on in the season. Jack starts losing it that's for sure and is trying like crazy to get back to the island. This could be why Kate doesn't want to be with him in that part of the time line.

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/3/2008 9:34:46 PM | I think Naomi is our secret helper on the ship. We were to assume it was Micheal who opened the door but I feel Naomi is still too important a character to just have in a few scenes. She did survive the fall and recovered very quickly. She took a knife in the back and was assumed dead and yet crawled off and recovered well then too before "dying" once more. Then there was the focus on her being returned to the ship. They made a big deal about that and her eyes were open when she was carried to the helicopter. She looked pretty good for a corpse who had been lying in tropical heat for many hours. I think like Locke, Mr. Happy, Micheal, the One Eyed Russian and some others she can't die either. | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/3/2008 11:54:53 PM | I'm still waiting for the four toed gigantic rock foot to be explained. Once that happens, I think I'll be happy.
:) | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/4/2008 12:23:50 AM | I wonder how many imaginative tangents already exist about the 4-toed thing but here's mine. It's a tribute to a future leader that was so far in the future that his little toe has been phased out due to the evolutionary process. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/4/2008 6:40:01 AM | Since I missed the last episode, I'll hold off on if that woman is still alive or not. I do remember that her eyes were closed by Sayid. I don't remember her eyes being open when they put her on copper. I might have missed that though. If it is the case, it could be one of those bloopers that just got through when filming.
What if the natives have no pinky toe and the island is the last remains of an Atlantis-Like culture. We don't know because we've not seen their feet! I'd be willing to bet that is more the case than some future race of people. And it would still fit in with the Time / Alternate Reality theme that is developing.

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/12/2008 5:58:55 PM | LOST update! Beware... SPOILERS!
Direct from Entertainment Weekly Apr 18th issue:
The opening episode that will finish out the last of the season is called "Shape of Things To Come." This is the first of 5 episodes before the show goes off for the summer.
Everything below this is SPOILER material:
1. The Jack Camp will discover a body that washes up on shore 2. The Locke Camp will be decimated by gunfire. 3. The four installments afterward will answer the season's biggest questions:
How did the much vaunted Oceanic 6 leave the island What happens to those left behind Why Sayid is killing people for Ben in the future Who is in that darn coffin.
4. The finale episode may be called "Frozen Donkey Wheel" and sets up the stage for another reinvention of the series. 5. To settle the question as to just who the "6" are... EW states the names as: Jack, Kate, Sun, Sayid, Hurley, and Aaron! So... no more talking about how Aaron isn't the sixth member! 6. There will not be happy endings for some of the characters. 7. One episode will feature Ben globe-trotting in the future in his war with Charles Widmore over control of the island. 8. Sayid's romance with his Iraqi Love, Nadia, will be revisited. 9. Smokie's mercurial nature will be revealed. 10. Things will happen with Claire (Finally) that will set up the next few episodes and the next few seasons. 11. The episode after "Shape" will be about Jack in the future. 12. The last three episodes will be a mythically significant outing for... someone. 13. Locke fans will also see a new Dharma station called The Orchid, all 3 levels of it, that might shed more light on the island's time-warping properties. 14. The May 22 (finale ep. for the season) will complicate the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle and will elaborate on Jack's need to get back to the island in the future.
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/13/2008 7:27:43 AM | | Wow I can't wait!! Thanks for posting that....I really really really hope Sawyer doesn't die! Specially because of the whole Locke camp decimated thing haha, but then again I guess if he was dead that wouldn't be much of a love triangle complication. Since Aaron is confirmed as part of the Oceanic 6 I guess anything said in the podcast is really NOT cannon haha. Because they said more than once that he wasn't on the manifest and therefore wasn't counted. Ah well, so Sawyer must have stayed on the island, which is a bit obvious given his circumstances and how he's been talking. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/13/2008 9:56:49 AM | | Well, if anything is true it is that that dis-information can be given to anyone reporting on the events of the show. So I don't count everything in EW as total gospel until it happens. But I'll come back to this after the season is done and check things out to see if the hits and misses. | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/23/2008 11:31:48 AM | Only one more day til eppy 9............ cant wait!!!!!!!!! have you all seen the recent clips 1-4 on youtube? One word! AMAZING!!!!! | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/25/2008 10:43:20 PM | Well, now that it's been established that Ben's been beboping around in time (by the evidence of him appearing in Iraq and asking what year it was) I think it's safe to say that there's something bigger going on than with just the island. Ben was wearing a winter Darma coat when he wakes up in Iraq. Funny... but Jack woke up the same way in the first episode of the first season. Hmmmm... Me wonders...yes...
I wonder just what Desmond will have to say about Ben tracking down his lovely lady to kill her. Hmmmm... Me Wonders more... yes...
My hopes for Claire's death were dashed... (Don't hate me. I just don't see her being much of a plot advancement right now.) How she survived such an explosion makes me wonder... hmmmm.
Nice to see Ol' Smoke come in and kick some butt. But... yes... Me Wonders again if Ben called it or let it think the island was in trouble. Hmmm.
Don't read much into Ben's secret smile as he left Sayid. It could be he was just happy to have an ally. Then again, he might have known what to say to get Sayid to join up.
Ok... I'm vaclimpsing. Talk amongst yourselves. Here's the topic: Is Jacob stuck in time?
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/26/2008 12:06:43 PM | I agree, Claire doesn't add much to the series. She may become more important when they reveal the Aaron-Jacob connection for sure. I've been pretty well behind on solving a lot of the mysteries but found a couple of interesting articles on fan theories to share.
"Dharma was trying to reverse the curse of Adam and Eve through scientific means, while the Others and the Lost-ies have been trying to do so by means of faith. The Others are moving the Lost-ies to make right the sins of their past. The Monster is a man-made means of judgment; he is a man-made god. If someone can pass The Monster's test of judgment, they may be able to atone for Adam and Eve's sin, and in essence reverse the curse in the very place where it began — the Garden." http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2008-04-23-lost_N.htm
On the Aaron-Jacob connection: "The diabolical experiment. Matthew Abbadon gains control of Aaron once he's off the island. Aaron eventually works in an Area-52-type of military laboratory. A powerful experiment goes awry and Aaron is trapped in another dimension, eternally unstuck from space-time. This "trapped between times" Aaron is known as Jacob and everything that happens on the show is Aaron's effort to alter the flow of events. Darlton love this theory because it's time-travel related and claims that Aaron is Jacob. This is similar to when people thought that Michael was in fact the grown-up version of Walt. Damon says that they are not dealing in paradox on the show and try to limit themselves. Carlton says that this theory is on the right track space-time wise but some of the specifics of it are not quite right." http://www.tvsquad.com/2008/04/24/producers-comment-on-lost-theories/
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/26/2008 3:04:22 PM | I like the idea that they are on the Garden of Eden... but if anyone knows their bible well enough, that was located in the area of Iraq, not in the middle of the Pacific ocean. So I guess I'll stick with the Atlantis theory for now.
Wouldn't it just blow people's minds if it turned out that Wentworth and Ben are angels and/or demons in a battle to keep Eden hidden? Hmmmm.
The second one you posted might work... but we won't know until the last season for sure. I do believe Aaron does prove to be the key to unlocking the final mysteries of why the island is such a prize in the game that Ben and Wentworth are playing.

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/27/2008 8:32:19 AM | Okay, ya got me going with the Planet of the Apes thing.
"In a teleconference with select fans held on April 17, 2008, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse slightly rectified a misquote[1] of an anecdote previously told by Damon at the 2008 Paley Festival. According to Carlton, the true story was that the statue was originally stated to have six toes in the script, but ABC executives mandated that it better have only four toes, which was considered less "weird" than six toes. According to their own words, Damon and Carlton didn't mind as long as the statue didn't have five toes.[2]" http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Four-toed_statue
