| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 4/27/2008 7:12:34 PM | I'd reather live on the island than listen to a bunch of tv executives tell me how many toes a statue must have.
"Take your stinking paws of me you damn dirty six toed ape!"
Nice one Random. | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/2/2008 3:53:09 PM | Did anyone else find Jack's phrasing, "you aren't even related to him!" odd??? Wouldn't the more appropriate angry comback be, "You aren't his mother!" or "Claire is his mother!" etc...
I think it was a giveaway that Jack knows he and Claire were half-sibs. I almost expected him to continue the statement with, "He is my nephew!
And did anyone else think it odd that the same women interupted Jack from speaking to his dad both times? I wonder if she fits in anywhere....she kinda came out of nowhere that second time....
Also did anyone find the fact that the smoke alarm is what draws jack out to his dad somewhat revealing. im pretty sure its been verified that the apparitions of the dead on the island (jacks dad, ekos brother..) are related to the smoke monster.
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/2/2008 9:21:44 PM | Yeah... I think they're just letting everyone know that it really IS Claire's baby Arron. I felt so sad for Jake. He had the one woman he truly loved and lost her because he couldn't trust her. I think the pills are part of the reason he was like that... but still... Man. I don't see them getting back together until, maybe the last season, which will be 2010.
It is possible that somewhere along the time-line, they find out that they are related. That will really mess with Jack's mind.
I think the black lady you mention might be part of something. I'm betting she might be working for Wentworth undercover. She was quick to give Jack the Scrip, wasn't she?
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/5/2008 8:46:27 PM | | Did anyone see the writers on the Jimmy Kimmel show the other night? They mentioned Smokey has "different rules for different people". | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/6/2008 9:50:51 AM | | Of this I have no doubt. I mean, Smokey didn't kill Locke, but he smacked that black guy who was a drug dealer posing as a priest around a lot! I think Ben called it to kill that group of soilders. I'm wagering that Ben gave it the idea that they were out to harm the island. But I think also, that Ben fears Smokey, because he knows he can't control it. Hence the reason he told every one they needed to be away from the area as quick as possible. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/9/2008 8:02:02 AM | I KNEW IT! The Others are time travelers too!
So... Jack and Claire's Dad is dead, but now he is talking on behalf of Jacob? Hmmmm. And Claire doesn't seem a bit scared at all now about being in "The Cabin." In fact, she seems to know more about what's going on now too.
Thought for the day: Claire is now dead. She walked off with her father and the only one who saw them leave was the Asian Psychic. Since he can see the dead, perhaps he saw Claire and didn't know she was dead.
Does anyone get the feeling that the island may be "Hades"? Now let me argue this out. The Bible says that Hades was a place that was split into two sections. One side all the good souls went to, the other the bad souls went to. Both sides were seperated by a vast distance that niether side could cross. There are two islands! What if... The Others are angels and the souls of people who've died on the island still roam there?
Just a thought. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/9/2008 9:47:10 AM | Could Ben and Locke be long lost brothers???? Think about it, they are both "chosen ones" and have mother's with the same name. Maybe after Emily runs out on John, she tries again years later and has Ben and dies in childbirth???
Did Claire's smile creep anybody else out?
I love the scene where Hurley shares the candy bar with Ben. Great episode. I can't wait for the next two.
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/9/2008 6:22:38 PM | oooooh I loved the last two posts,.. you are great folks I love the way your minds work and puzzle things through! And the latest.... WTF? MOVE the island? This I can't wait for. I am now keeping my eyes open for when Locke proves that the knife WAS so his! LOL | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/10/2008 6:05:13 AM | haha just saw the latest episode..... As soon as lost starts becoming 'normal' again, something wierd happens in the next episode that makes you go WTF!!
I think Clair is dead personally... and move the island?? how do you think they will do that??
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/10/2008 12:58:19 PM | How they move it will most likely be some some sort of temperal thing. Move it from one time to another. But I wonder how they'll move it and keep the "Grunts" from going along. I wonder what the device is that will be used against Smokie. I like Smokie... I don't want to see it die. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/10/2008 7:53:41 PM | | I'm a big fan of old-school Lost (S1 and early S2) but I simply must say that the most recent episode (Cabin Fever) was, in my view, the best yet. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/14/2008 10:34:42 AM | | Yeap... and it will only get better, even though there's only three episodes left for this season. The next two seasons will begin to wrap things up nicely. I can almost say for sure that the next season will bring about the final information we need as to who is doing what and for what reasons. I can also say for sure that Ben will be the good guy after all, despite all the things that's happened. Remember... he said he didn't kill the Darma people. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/16/2008 6:04:36 AM | Nothing really mysterious going on in this episode was there. Just a lot of drama. Odd though that the Numbers started showing up again for Hurley. I'm also seeing now why Jack didn't want to at first be with Arron.
With Jin on the boat now, I'm thinking he will die. All the C4 will go off and I'll bet those who get on that boat die except for "The Six". Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Hurley will get off the island in time to pick up Sun and Arron in the chopper after the boat explodes. But just how far can a chopper fly before it has to set down?
I'm still not sure how they'll "Move The Island" but now I understand why Jack is flying so much closer to the end of all this. He can't find it!
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/16/2008 11:52:09 AM | | I'm starting to think all of the writers of this show did too many drugs when they were younger, or still do them. The show makes less and less sense to me the longer I watch it. I'll still watch it though, I can't help myself. I stopped trying to figure out the plots a long time ago. Too much strain on the brain. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/17/2008 12:07:28 AM | Whew. I just caught up on the last 3 epis. Of course, I had to watch them all twice, and I'm still confused. Some interesting quotes:
Ben (to Locke)--"The island wanted me to get sick. It wanted you to get well. My time is over. It's yours now."
Ben--"Destiny, John, is a fickle b*tch." ( I want this t-shirt!)
Hurley--"What did you do today? It all seems so perfect. Just like heaven."
Hurley--"You're not supposed to raise him Jack."
Jack--"Your son? You're not even related to him!"
Hurley's Mom--"Jesus Christ is not a weapon."
A new blog I found (a little bit late) with another producer interview on the subject of Claire:
"Obviously the big question after last night's episode, leading into that finale, is "How are they going to move the island?" which is a fantastic twist and also, "Is Claire dead?" Is that a question that you are wanting the fans to be asking at this point?
CC: I think that we want the fans to ask, "What's happened to Claire?" I don't think it's "Is she dead?" I think it's like "Where is she?" and "What's going on with her?"
DL: What's fascinating with Lost is there's a scene where Claire is in the cabin, and she is sitting next to a guy who is dead, and nobody is saying "What's up with that?" They're all saying "Is she dead?" I think the more operative question is, "What is dead?" That's a good question to ask, and one you will certainly be asking over the long hiatus."

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/18/2008 10:56:02 PM | | Has anyone seen the movie Millinium? The story deals with time travelers taking certain people from a plane that is about to crash and replacing them with dead people from the future, thus saving the plane passengers for some reason. I don't remember the reason they were doing it, but it seems to fit in with the theme in Lost. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/18/2008 11:47:27 PM | | I haven't seen that movie but it does sound eerily similar to LOST. The other thing that comes to mind is that there is no real death in Christianity. One either has an everlasting life in heaven, burns in hell for eternity, or gets stuck in purgatory on the way to heaven. That seems to explain why no one ever really dies on the show. | |

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/30/2008 7:11:12 AM | WOW! What a great last episode. I knew it was Locke in the coffin. This is LOST...
Not everything that APPEARS dead IS dead & Not everything that IS dead STAYS dead...The clue here is the name Jeremy Bentham. Jeremy Bentham was an English philosopher who was known, among other things, for the notion of the "Auto-Icon". The auto icon is basically a taxidermied person. But may also refer to a "doll" .Google it people . I think what we are seeing is a John Locke doll and that the whole funeral is just Ben trying to manipulate Jack back to the island. .................................................................................................................... I'm such a girl. I had my kleenex ready. I totally cried when Sun was screaming for Jin (even though I'm still hoping he's alive) and then again for what I've been waiting for forever the Desmond/Penny reunion. It was so beautiful.

| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/30/2008 10:07:07 AM | Yeah, Locke's body didn't look real to me for some reason. To puffy. I was wondering about the name since I'd not heard it mentioned before. Thanks for the input on that Snickergrl28.
I'm soft hearted too. Seeing Penny and Desmond together finally was were I lost a few tears. Not saying it wasn't horrible to see Jin die (or did he) and Sun's anguish over it. But I had expected him to die. They set us up for that. Of course... I also knew it would be Sawyer who would jump from the chopper as he wasn't one of the six to make it home.
The "Moving of the Island" was interesting. I wonder where it went! It's for sure everyone one and everything on it went with it. But where?
I LOVE LOST! | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/30/2008 7:28:39 PM | Hello my name is Pantherrrrr64 and I am a LOST addict.
Locke's body didn't look real to me for some reason. To puffy. Actually I thought he looked TOTALLY embalmed. That is the exact look one gets. Nice and rubbery looking and slightly puffy and yellowish grey. Thought the makeup was excellent!!
Thanks for that input too Snickergirl that is some great info! You LOSTIES ROCK!
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/31/2008 2:50:22 AM | | I was shocked as hell to see Locke in the coffin. At least he was shaved and in some decent clothes for a change, ha. I lost it too when Penny and Desmond found each other and when Jin got blown up........or did he? We have two more seasons to confuse and confuzzle us. I remember reading about Jeremy Bentham. I think he had himself embalmed and placed in some college in England, where his remains still preside over board meetings. Of course I read that in Ripley's Believe It Or Not, so I'm not sure if that's valid. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/31/2008 12:09:03 PM | I forget something. Since the show is about time travel, I'm thinking the Island didn't actually MOVE to some PLACE... it went to some WHEN. I'm betting that when Jack manages to convince the rest to return to the island, that's when it will appear again. I'm also thinking we're going to see a lot of what happened to everyone who were left on the island this next season. And what about the last few people being ferryed back to the boat. They didn't make it there because the boat was blown to pieces before they could reach it. I'm wondering just how they will be brought back.
What was it that that scientist said before he left the island the last time? I didn't catch it.
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 5/31/2008 7:44:46 PM | I havent been back to this thread in some time. It was good to read all the opinions on the last episode. I knew it was going to be Locke in the coffin, LOL Finally one of my guesses were right . I still say Jin is not dead, he could have very well jumped ship before the explosion, he knew it was coming, and when he saw the helicopter take off, I think he jumped off, so he could have atleast a possibility of being with Sun again. Also there was the other small boat in the water, so they could pick up anyone that made it off the ship. Next season, we will see who actually survived that last episode. I am not sure what to think about Locke, because he stayed on the island and the island supposedly moved. But yes it could have moved as far as time, and not geography, since it is all about the time travel. I am not sure if I believe that Locke is dead either, because he was one of them that would not die, as was Michael. So they could both still be alive. Great ending though, I did not follow all of the first hour, I have to watch them both again on-line it is so hard to catch it all with just one viewing. Anyone interested in seeing it again, try ABC.com, if your computer is capable, you can view it at the site.
Until next season. | |
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 6/1/2008 12:52:46 PM | I think Jin will be picked up by the little boat too... but as to how long they'll be at sea before they're either picked up or the island returns... remains to be seen. I feel pretty sure that Sun will see Jin again in the final season and it will be what changes her from wanting to help Witmore. I also think there will be a final side chosen for all regarding who's side everyone is going to be on and I think they will go with Ben.
Kisses to you Summerbout for getting it right!
Ok... everyone... have a good summer and watch this thread for new updates.
|
| The New Season Of LOST Posted: 6/1/2008 2:35:20 PM | I just watched the finale this afternoon (I taped it) and WOW! just WOW!
How does Locke get the name Jeremy Bentham and how does Jack know that Lock is JB? Can't wait till next season, 8 months is going to be torture to wait for the next episode.
