Golfcoast, according to your formula for me: 49-8=41 x 2 = 82

That is 10 years older than my dad...

hmmm... I don't think so.

Janet I don't invent the ancient wisdom, I just report it. Consider the good news, you could dramatically increase your dating pool and drive terms besides with a guy that old lol.

PS good math btw ^5

Yeah, she'd HAVE to drive! Although she would get all the good handicapped parking spaces. *double-smirk*

Lot of ageism in these here parts, I'd start to feel insecure if I weren't such a physical force of nature lol.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? One can take that Real Age test (51) and get some kind of age adjustment factor I suppose. Or sometimes I suppose it's a function of how old the woman you're making happy is (don't I wish).

Yeah, that test made me real old too. I think it's because I watched so many I Love Lucy reruns.

Science, what a turn on.

You can't trust anything out of Eastern Asia..... But in Western Asia... those Tibetans know their stuff.

Age is simply just a number!! It's not an issue, unless you make it one!! Whatever you place emphasis on,like age for instance, sorta speaks volumes about what you lack in concern for the positive, important qualities that one may possess!! Your missing the big picture...Love knows no age, limits, or any other insignificant, minor things that are irrelevant when it comes to true love...That's what is reffered to as the "Jerry Seinfeld Syndrome"!! Grow up!! Don't grow old!! A fool at 40...Is a fool indeed!! A wise Chinese proverb!!

Age is simply just a number!!

Indeed... just a number... as is your social security number, check book balance, phone number, driver's license number...

all are there for a reason.

Why deny the information that is available to us that is valuable?

Please, go marry someone more than 10 years your senior for almost 20 years and come back to report how this age is just a number. Until then, perhaps listen to those of us that have

Janet at the risk of you having to get graphic, you saucy little redhead, please tell us in what areas the old guy got old?

I kinda know what ya mean because I wear everyone out, kids, grandkids, the MBA's I hire and manage, but give us a hint:).

Now I need to brag a bit to see if you think this qualifies as old (all in recent time frames).

1. I've done at least 5 official Iron Butt's (1,000 miles on a motorcycle in 24 hours). Sometimes I will drive non-stop to my Montana place, 1300 miles.
2. Last year I circled the world 3 times on business, 14 countries, 6 days a week (one of those days a travel day which really is the most grueling) performing deep dive analysis of financials, operational processes, strategies, etc. Of necessity days start at 5 AM, and after long work days client entertainment until wee hours. Did I mention the time zones usually made me from 4 to 12 hours out of sync? Did I mention unlimited kimchee, live octupus, and raw eel and other regional delicacies 3 times a day?
3. I walk when golfing. when I went to Scotland last year for almost a month. I played 36 holes a day (approx 12-14 miles,) carrying at least the second loop (usually get the caddy to show me how to play the first round on links courses). It was March-April so some days it was in light snow in the Scottish highlands, on the coast it blew 30 in driving rain.
4. I'm too much a gentleman to speak of the stuff you're implying lol

Whew that wore me out, it's nap time. And if I knew how to grab that little green bouncing emoticon on the right of my screen I'd do it for emphasis:)

golfcoast, you can put a new suit on an old guy and he's still an old guy.

Good for you that you're the energizer bunny. Would you honestly go for someone 10 years your senior that eats the same ridiculous daily menu and can meet your activity schedule?

I think not.

14 years was the biggest age difference I've been involved with. He was older than me...to bad he acted like he was 12

So maybe it really dosen't matter the age difference...it's really all about the man

It seems the older I get, the closer to my age I prefer... and some will say that I'm "limiting my dating pool"... well, so what. There are plenty of people close to my age and I see no reason (or benefit) for reaching outside of those parameters.

Angel! If you cannot remain friends after your long serious relationship, take it to email will ya? This is not the place to trash your ex... in fact, you have to be over 18 to post here... and he's only 12... in dog years.

You realize if you are a senior citizen ( drawing Social Security ) and you are dating someone 14 years your junior, there is the unfortunate situation that can develop, whereby people think she is your 'nurse' ! ~ ~
