| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you....

Truthfully, men....how do you feel when a potential date tells you she drives a higher end car (Mercedes, BMW, etc....)?
I wouldn't really care whether she drove a nicer car, but I'd wonder why she felt the need to tell me what she drives.
What does it say to you?

frankly jerkin off is much more entertaining

Another guy that thinks the status of her car means he doesn't drive anymore. Interesting. Again...you have a car already - why wouldn't you just keep on driving it? | |

It could mean she has her priorities misaligned.
It could mean she is making up for short comings.
It could mean she needs to be noticed.
It could mean she lacks other things in life that make her happy.
If she is financially secure and can afford the payments:
It could mean she has good taste and I could totally appreciate that.
It could mean she worked hard to get where she is and she is going to enjoy it.
She knows she is beautiful and deserves a car that reflects that.
This can also apply to men ! ! !
I drive a "high end" vehicle of my own, so no jealousies here,.
I have nothing but respect for a woman that has secured herself financial security and can afford to BUY HERSELF the luxury of a nice vehicle. | |

Posted: 2/4/2008 7:49:45 PM | It's really not the price of a car, its the dependability, I used to have a 325 beamer 1995, my son drove it to California year 2000, he used it there for another year and he got hit by a truck and totaled the car. I has 350,000 miles on it when it got hit. You get what you are paying for. Its not a sign of materialistic , its just those cars tells you what's wrong before you drive it , its safety issue. When my car was in the service, they gave a Honda and on the way home the car stopped in the middle of the road and I almost got hit by other vehicle. I love my convertible but hey its paid for and I didnt have problem paying for it because beamers interest rate is very low as 3%. So??? Please dont judge a woman by what she drives, know her first , what kind of a woman she is . My 2 cents input on this thread forum. | |

Say she drove an older model simply because of her means. Would that have any effect on your interest level or would that not matter that she was not anywhere close to your income bracket? Posted: 2/4/2008 8:19:33 PM | It all depends on your definition of "better". I would never complain about any car that was interesting. Or worked. I like old European cars. They're cheaper than tax on a new Toyota and can be made to run nearly forever. Car payments? No thanks. My daily driver has half a million miles on it and is 25 years old and still looks newish. The barn is full of summer-only toys. All of them put together cost less than the exes SUV she bought when it was 10 years old (and self destructed 2 years later. Bloody Fords.)

I like cars tooo! but..baby,,can you carry a conversation about anything else??? I do like a clean car. If I have to push aside two weeks of coffee cups cig butts,and garbage, just to get in your car... the bets off going home with you! I know more guys than women are freaks about the cars. I drive a SUV. I like it because I have no probs getting out of my driveway when we get so much snow. I like the coffee holder in my car. I like the bush guard when I hit the deer last year. If it makes you happy, then drive yourself to distraction!  I have two motorcycles, does this make me a biker chic??? I drive my own cause I hate looking at the back of your head. So true though; guys think that girls with bikes are stereotypical "biker chicks". A woman who owns a bike shows confidence and independence and damn it why don't I own one!!!  Oh that's right; because I have 5 kids!!!!!

Posted: 2/5/2008 7:36:17 AM | First of all, I believe we make big ticket purchase decisions based on our own perceptions of personal value. I would assume she drives the "higher end car" because she has her own good reasons such as:
A. It suits her business needs (perception of business success which begets success).
B. It suits her styling tastes and budget.
C. It signals that she is fully capable of making her own bold decisions.
I would not be intimidated. I would love to talk to her about the decision process! | |
