I'm Lazy. That's good to know. What a catch you are.
Thats why I always suggest to meet. I have my own transpo and I am not responsible for keeping someone elses schedule. I want to stay I stay, he wants to go, he goes. Exactly. What I do/have doesn't affect/concern him and vice versa. No need for carpooling just because you're dating.

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 8:12:41 AM | | Doesn't bother me one bit. I drive an SUB because it reflects my lifestyle. If she drives a BMW or a Mercedes, so what? I has never meant anything, well, with the exception of a woman I went out on a date and she kept reminding me that her ex drove a Ferrari. | |

Physique of an overweight wrestler, decades of drug- and alcohol abuse showing VERY clearly in every dried up wrinkle, bandana, leather, dyed crew cut, the works. Their 'roommates' sometimes look slightly more 'femme'. Sometimes......

It surely was sounding like a blanket statement to me...but you saved yourself (barely) at the end. I find it very hard to believe that only dykes ride motorcycles in New Mexico ('sometimes...').

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 10:18:33 AM | Been there, done that (I like to find any old cheap transportation and just drive it 'til it needs work....then go buy another).
Simple solution...tell her she ought to drive (that wouldn't bother me a bit)!
Unfortunately the one who owned that Benz drove like a MANIAC. Probably good the relationship didn't work out...LOL

Posted: 2/5/2008 11:39:08 AM | | most of the people i know who drive nice cars are living paycheck to paycheck, and up to their eyeballs in debt. -even the rich ones don't even own -they lease (or their company leases for them) wtf? -i really dont want to have anything to do with someone way in debt.

If you found out a woman you were meeting drove a more expensive car than you, would it bother or intimidate you?
Would I be meeting the woman or her car, or are they the same? If a woman has a better car than me, well I say good for her. For me a car is just a means of transportation and all I require is that it get me from point A to point B and then back again. I don't confuse what I drive with who I am. Unfortunately, many do.

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 1:06:30 PM | All you self sufficient, strong women stand up and be proud, drive that "high end" car, show off those designer brand "everything", because if YOU worked hard to buy them and attained that level of financial security, then you deserve to have them! A strong, secure man would not be intimidated by your success. So I say, if a woman drove a "better car than I did, I would applaud and respect that. We will still most likely go out in my car anyway, (which is in that high end classification also) because I prefer be driving to our destination so she can just relax. | |

Amen AW. I will take my 98 4 x 4 (and its title with my name on it) which i paid cash for over an extra monthly bill any damn day.
I will take an 'average gal' that makes wise 'lifestyle decisions' (which I guess what an expensive car is) over a hottie driving around in an 07 mustang (or whatever) every time.
Not that I think I would land a hottie in a mustang anyway if I wanted to.

Women who drive nice cars are either successful or want to be in Charlie's Angels.
Guys with fancy cars has small weenies.
Just a thought.... | |

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 2:47:49 PM | LOL! Damn, does this mean I have to take the pic of my new TRUCK off my profile? As for the guy who thinks everyone is in hock up to his/her eyebrows....guess again turkey!
Fineartgirl!!!! You go girl!!!!
I have two motorcycles, does this make me a biker chic??? I drive my own cause I hate looking at the back of your head. Draw your own conclusions and you already are wrong about me. I bought my first motorcycle in 1982 for EXACTLY that reason! LOL! Saw the one (motorcycle) I fell in love with in Daytona (Bike Week) in March '82, came home and bought one! I'd been riding behind my dad, boyfriends, husbands, uncles my entire life....figured it was time to get one of my own. LOL! of course....there was still snow on the ground when I started riding.....all that long red hair streaming out from under my helmet, I sure people were looking and saying.....damn hippie! LOL! Imagine the surprise when they saw me in a halter top in July!!! I am thrilled to see all the women riding today! FYI guys.....my dad was a race driver....I grew up at the track....was 23 yrs old before I every drove a car with an automatic tranny. Little did I know when I was 16 yrs old driving a Triumph with a hurst clutch that the boys just dieing to drive my car were too wimpy and weak to push in the clutch! LOL! They should have stuck with their wimpy little volkswagons!

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 2:57:43 PM | | Unless they wanted to hold it over my head it wouldn't bother me at all. I drive a late model pickup, basic 2 wheel drive, no leather,no fancy wheels and stuff, and when the repairs start to be a hassle I'll buy a new one. I work a lot of hours and dependability is a big thing with me. | |

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 3:15:49 PM | Now I feel busted by grandma. I do hear "bikechick" and move on. (I admit to running with a fairly rough biker crowd in the Philly area around 25 years ago and its the last thing i would want in my life now). Yet I have to admit to owning a Triumph once upon a time too (and a very good time it was!). and my hair was about 2 feet longer too (blonde with no helmet).
But the question wasnt about 'once upon a time.' it was about now. and about who would be intimidated by a car.
If someone is intimidated by a car, they are a LOOSER. If someone is trying to make some sort of judgement on his/her attachment to materialism, well maybe thats open for discussion.

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 3:23:40 PM | | If a guy decided he didn't like me based on the car I drive (because it costs more than his), he truly is not someone I would want to have anything to do with. | |
|
| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 4:38:28 PM | I don't think the issue is if he didnt like you because of your car...It is much deeper than that, I think the problem is the insecurity of some men, that can't take that a woman has surpassed them in life achievements, yielding her the ability to own (or lease) these fancy cars.
Listen up guys. If you are lucky enough to find yourself an intelligent, self sufficient, self made, fianancially secure woman and she is willing to date "the average guy"...wtf is wrong with you...You want to insult her because she like the fancy car? Suck it up, swallow your pride. You have nothing to lose, especially if you unluckingly have not been as successful as her. Embrace this oppourtunity. Maybe she has the connections or can guide you so you to can move up in the world.

| If a woman drove a 'better' car than you.... Posted: 2/5/2008 6:21:39 PM | | I prefer a good woman that rides a donkey. They are reliable, never give up, have excellent gas mileage and you slow down traffic to a halt so less car accidents. (Now if we could just figure out what to do with the poop on the roads.) Hmmm | |

Sheesh that's easy. Just don't go back the same way and NEVER make a U turn.

Perhaps a move to a 3rd world country with dirt roads is in order. Although the U.S. has an abundance of people who conduct themselves in donkeyesque manner, that life has gone by the wayside in mainstream America.
