| Ghosts of Past Posted: 5/28/2008 1:30:41 PM | I had some spare time and read through your thread, bro.. and when I came to the one that you wrote "Pa and all nam vets who suffered from agent orange" etc.. it reminded me of what was going through my mind one day about a month ago. I had my korean war dad down to the v.a. in tampa.. well, basically because he's 80. yanno? Ain't much left of him. I wrote down my observations..I don't usually repost stuff.. but, I think it's relevant.
Sittin down in Tampa at the VA* writin with pen again for a change had to bring dear old dad down for his appointments and I'm sittin out under a tree people watchin
while watchin the different generations pass through it occurred to me that we haven't had a war since WWII all this other bullshyt is/was just political torture from the murderin goin on now clear back to Korea
I should ask that kid with one arm his opinion of whether he was in a war when he lost his limb but, it's all the same when you're hit by shrapnel doesn't matter if the cause was valid or political
an old man just got into his worn out truck had to use both arms to pull himself up too young for Korea, must have been Nam or some poor bastard poisoned in desert storm
I've got a grinning lil toeheaded boy about eight hope he never gets tossed into political bullshyt I'll ship him straight to Mexico sans passport I'll never let him experience political torture

Of bad wolves and demons:
darkness comes the lights are dim you and i are together again passion high but different somehow will you let me show you who i am now? blood covers the roof of my mouth we're on a path and headed south not to heaven....nor to hell i am passing us thru time can you tell? i control this beauty i longed for you from from lifetime to lifetime and on through forever you were mine and meant to be but in this lifetime you had to love me. ok...i will finish this tomorrow.... goodnite all
|
| Ghosts of Past Posted: 5/30/2008 5:05:18 PM | hey there Wintersnot, how ya doin ya crazy goat. LOL interesting snippet.
Good start Fairy, I look forward to reading the rest. Hope the truckin life is treatin ya well out there in sunny California. Were you looking for the following by Dio:
Someone told me I would never be free The way you are is way you'll always be But it's all wrong There's Time To Burn
Hurt is on the pleasure wheel But you can't hurt if you can't feel And you can feel - you've got something to learn You've got Time To Burn
You were lost inside a pounding heart Waiting for the game to start But you won't play - you've so much to learn Like you never say never We'll live forever And you've got Time To Burn
When the wolf is loose in the city The the city will fight to survive You can hide in the streets of the city But no one will care No one will know you're alive There's Time To Burn
Someone told me I would never be free The way you are is way you'll always be But it's all wrong Just never say never We're gonna live forever Cause you've got Time To Burn Time To Burn

last night you touched me with you soul
your silken voice seduced me passion reduced me
across the astral plain came you my lips still taste you.
thigh to thigh, hip to hip the essence of you on my lip.
Many a lover have I had, dancing naked on my bed. But none seduced me in my head.
Now this morning your still here I taste your seed, feel your beard. words that only I can hear.
Slowly arise I from my bed. your voice still echo in my head. And to the waking day am lead

Here I sit in the dead of the wee hours, sing upon a final sonnet dedicated to my yesterday's mexican queen of mexico. Our amity walked into the light of creativity as we tarryed with cupid in the garden of love, waiting and hoping to see our amity walk back to us. And so you walked away, leaving me hehind with a lonely heart. I became perplexed you walked away without a word goodbye my lover.

Slipped... like a loosed feather from a dying phoenix your shadow fell into my horizon.... caught me in the cross fire of your need and your disdain while my hands traced ageless patterns across your swaying hips your moist lips whispered calculated deception and with the wind for escort leaves brushed away the passing memory of our moon painted backs. The reflections of our time together slowly drying in the dark puddled edges where lions, huddled, would drink from your eyes.

Hello Lunarlunacy,
Wow, such a pleasant surprise...
Your thread is the most satisfying read I have had in a long time, and I am not even done with page one.
(I must be a slow reader, but quick writer ;) haha)
The depth, beauty...
I really paused so many times. And your poetry dear Lunarlunacy is so worth reading, I mean, I will definitely for my own good, to refresh and stretch my soul more and more - be reading your works and your friend's works here more often.
Thank you so much for reading and enjoying my poetry and calling my attention to the truly deep and stunning, celestial poetry that runs through you!
Wow! | |

"get dressed" you say,,,"meet me out front....30 min" you show up in that orange 69 charger you've had forever and never ever drive.... where we going? i ask....(omigod the 8-track player STILL works) you grin.....not where......when......1975.... it was the best night ever...parked out by the old cemetary making love in the backseat of that old charger while cat stevens played on the 8-track.... becoming our own ghosts.....of who we once were...

| Ghosts of Past Posted: 6/5/2008 6:47:44 PM | poetry is dead, the pundant said the obituary was in the new York times no more lyric, no more rhymes no more symmetry and contra pointed time but I long for imagery for the voice of poetry I long for iambic pentameter while drowning in raps parameters It is a lovely day in the Maritimes, clear white light, Hail Mary Blue Skies
perhaps poetry is dead, I will write anyway
