I love the snow as long as I don't have to try and get to work in the stuff.. people drive crazy over on this side of the state. StL that is.

Posted: 2/21/2008 5:19:25 PM | Well this independent woman got up and got out in this mess and went to work. Believe it or not, most people made it in. There were a few that were very very very late due to that mess on hwy 44... but hey I work for a HUGE company...world wide and people in China could really give a shvt if we have ice!!!
I just took my time ... some people get crazy. There was a white suburban that went speeding by in the fast lane this morning.. sure enough about 5 miles down the hwy, there he was.. tore the shvt out of that vehicle.... what can I say.. other than STUPID !!!!

Posted: 2/21/2008 5:45:32 PM | I made it in on time. No one else did. Everyone else showed up at least 30 min late. Tho we did get to leave at noon, but worked remotely (if you can even call it that (work that is)) this afternoon. Boss wanted me to stay later, since I only (in his words) "live 2 minutes away". I told him I could go home and work, or I could take a sick day for the remainder of the day. So I got paid to sit at home, and remote into work, and do just about nothing and get paid for it.
On the bright side, I was sitting in my PJ's, drinking some red wine, doing a bit of work, and getting paid for it.  I want some more days like that! | |

Posted: 3/7/2008 8:15:06 AM | | well don't feel too bad it sucks no mater what side of the state your at LOL the other day we here ogt 12 in of snow and today to the south they are calling for more snow LOL.just you wait it will get warm like last year at this time we all thought that winter was over and then BOOM the first week of april we got that blast from the north and it drop down to well below the freeze line and we lost all the spring plants.I lost all of my tomatoe plants and all of my veggies in the garden.I had to go out and buy all new plants becouse of that late spring freeze LOL. | |

As long as its nice for thursday nite (Lifehouse concert @ Pops!) and friday durring the morning (driving down to Arkansas for a weekend of fun w/ some friends). I'm good!
