The venues may not have been to everyone's tastes, but an open minded approach as to the possibility that they would not suit, be busy or whatever, should be employed. The team did their very best to try to accomodate everyone, no two people are the same, so it is hard to cater for hundreds of individuals. Yes, the Maltman was busy, but that was to be expected. I am sure Scrummy and team, had they known the amount of people who would turn up well in advance, would have chosen a larger venue. Everyone learns by their mistakes and these were very small ones.

Very well said that man, previously any meets in Scotland have been poorly attended, when meets are arranged it is very difficult to gauge the actual response in advance. I am pretty sure that had the organisers realised the response was going to be as large then different venue would have been chosen.
At least this one may have given folks a taste for get together's and that the frequency of them will improve. Hey you know what they say folks - COMMUNICATION IS KEY !
Why not try letting folks know well enough in advance if you fancy getting together at least then it allows people to plan and organise. I say pick a date...... then a theme....then the venue......there is enough folks up here that would like to get involved, it is just a matter of getting the info out there.
Very well done to all involved in organising this......going by past efforts this was a success. It brought folks together....a good time was had..... look foward to future events occurring ! Even though I missed it.....hey I had a good time too ! | |

The Maltman & Madness was super busy,but that added to the atmosphere. But was everyone on Viagra lastnight?
