| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/16/2008 6:48:32 PM | i don't understand this ive done what it said and there is no phone number nothing? this is all i get Your PIN will be your voicemail password, don't forget your country code. Phone numbers in Canada start with 1 At no point in time does anyone know your real phone number, we generate a fake phone number and when you call that number your call is forwarded to the users real phone, if you are in the recipients phonebook. The first message is always sent to the users inbox.
This service is free, but regular phone charges will apply. Phone Activation may be a long distance call but it only takes 8 seconds, contacting other users should all be local calls.
If you can see this, your browser doesn't understand IFRAME.

Posted: 2/17/2008 7:16:06 AM | I havent had any trouble at all with it (so far)--added my number without the 1 or the area code...and have been getting the generated numbers for someone on my favs list. Seems to be a pretty awesome addition to this 'pond'

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/17/2008 12:12:32 PM | Where is the dropdowns in my contact/phonebook that are supposed to allow me to redirect calls to either a cell phone or voice mail?
Is there a way to allow folks to SMS text me ONLY?
I can't figure out the setup - based on the number of messages, the instructions for set up need to be a LOT better.

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/19/2008 12:09:58 AM | Ah forget about it! If I trust the person enough I'll just give her my cell number. Then they can text or leave you a message on your phone whenever. It's not like anything bad will happen! If you have a text package on your cell or enough minutes, money on your phone or whatever this feature won't be much use... So send each other those texts and voice mails on your real number and keep it bouncin'. | |

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/19/2008 10:38:19 PM | Does ANYONE on here know how to change the number on the Jangl thing. When I signed up to be able to contact people using the system I put my HOME PHONE LANDLINE in there not knowing that it would be a HUGE problem when I used my cell phone to dial a contact... It does not recognize my cell number as Jingl wants to see calls made with my HOME PHONE which I do NOT have long distance with. How in the world can I change my phone number to my cell so It will process my phone calls to the "moke" phone numbers that users get assigned for me to call,I have looked at all kinds of posts and I have not found the answer to this??? I went to Jangl's home page but it won't let me log on... What is my email address when I look onto the Jangl page??? I have my pin and it's fine but I can't seem to find a way to change my phone number to my cell...
Can anyone please tell me what I need to do?????? Obviously I didn't know that it needed the actual number I'd be using but still accepted my HOME LAND LINE!!!

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/20/2008 4:30:06 AM | | Hopefully there will be a way to reset the numbers based on the problems that everyone is encountering. There is also no way to handle phone number changes with it's current setup. I don't have any intentions of changing the number I've had of over 10 years but sometimes things happen (like stalkers) that require it to happen. | |

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/21/2008 12:01:45 PM | Hiya Skelly i can't understand either,I have tried & rang the number given waiting to put the code number in but all i got was BT saying put your home phone number in.
I put in the code which we are given but it was just an answer machine,Giving you options press 1 for this & so on then it went dead on me.
I am not the sort of person to give up so have tried it loads of times,But i have to confess it has me beaten i just can't be bothered anymore.

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/21/2008 12:40:30 PM | I love this feature and it has been working fine for me now. I used my home number when I signed up so I won't be able to receive any SMS text messages, but I don't care. Someone mentioned something about not having long distance on the phone number they used when they signed up; I'm quite certain that the Admin mentioned in his first post that there would only be a small long distance charge involved when you first sign up and that there would be no further long distance charges if you are using the system to call people in your local area.
Even though the system seems to be working fine now, the first time one uses it can be confusing and there is apparently no way to change the number you used when you first signed up. If they could provide a clearer set of instructions at the sign-up page-- and provide a way to edit your number--I think it would be perfect.

I'm quite certain that the Admin mentioned in his first post that there would only be a small long distance charge involved when you first sign up and that there would be no further long distance charges if you are using the system to call people in your local area. Unfortunately that statement has proven to not be true. It gives me 513 area codes to dial when I live in the 614 area. So all numbers it gives me to call are long distance.

| Plentyoffish Voice Mail and SMS Messaging System. Posted: 2/21/2008 2:00:39 PM | I hope You all will really explain it to all of us how thisVoice mail or SMS Messaging System should work and what we are to do by putting in the 1+ our Area Code as which it be our Cell Phone Number or our land line phone number. I realize other will not ever know our own phone number. We will be able to answer it over the computer just like we would on other Instant Messengerr servive like Yahoo has it set up fo those who use it. That would be great if it works that way. i wait and see what happen now. | |
