Kinda like a ghost town.. 
I just hope them tumbleweeds don't get all the way down to the counthouse square before we see some folks out here on the street.. And there's even more of them a-rollin' into town too. We'll grab a couple of 'em for ya as they roll by LB72. 
What we probably need to do is have a Saturday Night Dance down at the firehouse, and a parade.. Yeh!!  That'll shake folks up, I betcha..

I am game for getting out and mingling a little. I am hoping that we can get some more M&G's going here in East Tennessee. Maybe another get together at CEJ's or some other dance place.

Where do ya suppose all them Tennesseans are these daze?  Lots of storms rolling around today. I doubt they are out enjoying the gorgeous mountainsides and the scenery..

Posted: 5/27/2008 5:44:55 PM | The next M&G in Tennessee will be the Burgess Falls M&G on June 7th. It is a bring your own lunch and drinks and bring a desert to be shared by all. CW is planning on doing a speed dating scenario and has the age breakdown on the forum post. Check it out.....would be glad to have you there.
As far as another M&G closer to the East side, nothing has yet been mentioned. I had thought about hosting one, but not many people would want to come to Oneida...just a small town with no night life other than bars. But if people wanted to do camping and such, it is great! The last M&G for East side was in Knoxville @ CEJ's and there has been talk about doing it again. Maybe someone will take the initiative and run with it. 
Checking the Tennessee Single Events Forum is the one to check out for the newest happenings. I hope that this helped.........

Posted: 5/27/2008 11:35:43 PM | Oneida, I recall that place, it has a place cal Royal Blue, a place for off road enthusiast with too much money and a 4x4 that they can't wait to tear up, or leave for a short period of time until the equipment to extract it can be acquired. Yep, I'm guilty in such stupidity, but was during my 20's, I've learned better, but I have read forums where guys still go there, so it ain't quite dead yet.
Can't make anything this month, I'm spending it with my boy, would love to see some Nashville events though. | |

It's starting to look like Deadwood, SD around here, after the Gold Rush.. Only without the saloons and the brothels. Where are all them there Tennesseans anyway?
Did everybody catch the stage back East or what? Oh wait! This IS back East. Sorta! Hmmm.. Not sure what to make of that.

Trying to get everything unpacked and put back in its' place for now. Might just head to CEJ tonight and see if anything is happening there. Who knows..........might find another tumbelweed to roll with.

Did I hear a sound?? Woke me up! Sort of a crunching sound coming from the direction of the fireplace. Now what'd I go and do with that lantern?? Seems I snoozed off here in the chair.. 
Did anyone else hear that? Is it Christmas? Santa maybe?
Nahh that can't be it. It's much too hot to be Christmas. Phew!
What do you suppose could have made it's way down the chimney? OR, still IS making it's way down the chimney?
Know what? I think it may be haunted here.. This happens a lot! Seems they are probly harmless though. Just make funny noises at night...
Whatever it is, you never seems to see 'em.. Ya know?

Posted: 8/3/2008 7:36:36 PM | Oh my gosh! How funny and delightful it was to see your post Suth'n. I absolutely loved it! Got some news for ya though..........Just had to share it. I may be answering one of them there calls regarding the haints before much longer. I have 2 more weeks of training for my newest position I am taking on. I will be becoming Officer LB72 in about 2 more weeks if I can hold up that long. Working and training classes are starting to kick my tail and the worse of the classes is yet to come. I believe the devil himself will make an appearance before it is all said and done! 
Oh well, as they say, I will get plenty of sleep  when I am dead and gone  , so for now I will just keep up the hectic way of life . Big hugs for now since I may not be seeing ya for a bit.

I tried to call dispatch in Oneida and they said there is no longer a dispatcher there! At least not a really really good one!
So I just dealt with it in other ways.. I done run 'em back up the chimney with a big stick!

So LB72 where's it all going from here? Are you going to be a patrol officer or a dispatcher primarily? And which would you prefer? I see you're still on board, so they must have made you a purty good deal to get ya to stay on.  I was pretty sure sumpthin' good would come of it.
Can we shoot these noise-making varmits that we can hardly see? The ones that only seem to only come out at night and seem to hang around the fireplace and hide under the table? Or do they pretty much have the run of the place at will? Without even askin'?
Sure would be nice if we could run em' off alright!
