| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 8/23/2008 1:30:26 AM | Don't go chasing them things down by yourself there Suth'nBoy. That wooly thing may just snag you up and drag ya along with it.
Now, as far as them varmits go, I am not sure what to tell ya. I have tried all avenues to catch them rascals but no luck as of yet. As soon as I find out the secret I shall let ya know.
As of now, I am still primarily dispatcher and part time officer. Things may change in the future, but for now I am satisfied with them being as they are. But, ya know how things are with us females.....it is our right by birth to change our mind at any moment!
Stay safe, LB72 (Deputy LB72 to all ya'll outlaws )

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 5/27/2009 11:04:40 AM | You say.."Hey, we never solved the tumbleweed problem!"
NO...Middle Tn, never solve THERE problem.
A Lady tried 3 times, but nobody else wants to HOST, O.K. A few are trying. Not Nashville tho.
West has there V.F.W. in Memphis and Jackson a few times.
East is ROLLING along with a spur of the moments get together's and a P.O.F. Event, every Month. Maryville 3 times, W.W.C. Knoxville Tn., Athens. And now June 20, Maggie Valley in N.C. Than hopefully one in July and August.
So 2 out of 3 have fixed there tumbleweeds problem.

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 5/28/2009 6:05:08 PM | Oh I don't really see us as in competition RND. Geeze if we are going to compete, let's compete with New Joisey or Massachusetts or something like that.
I think Tennessee is just TN and we're all part of the same big ole oblong, suth'n mixing pot.
I kid around about that some like "EASTERN Folks are a WILD BUNCH of Partiers!" But that's just for fun. Ain't nobody supposta take it seriously. (Although it may be true!) Ha!
Actually I really like East TN and West TN too. Things are kinda slow party-wise in Central, but it's just like that. We're not as inclined to be into the Night-life as are either of our bookend-counterparts. I personally wish there were more activity here, but it's never really been that way, except for the 20-something set. .
Tumbleweeds however, refers to the inactivity of the forums, not to party inclinations. Since you usta be that other guy way back when, I'm sure you realize that.

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 7/12/2009 6:43:46 AM | It sure would be fun to visit CA. I have some online friends I have never met that live there. Wouldn't it be such fun to take a leisure drive across country seeing the sites along the way and in no hurry. And if you had an RV just stop when you get tired and plug in to electric. Anybody got an RV and want a quiet friend to ride along with em?
Hey SB! | |

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 7/12/2009 3:11:55 PM | | There are tumbleweeds in the High Country where I was born but I did not get to to up there this trip. There was a great looking tumbleweed sitting by me on the plane but he lives in LA and was visiting here. Well, a girl can dream can't she? | |

Awww Geeze OTD, another one slipped away eh? Well heck, he was from L.A. anyway. How compatible could he be, with a good ole wholesome, down-home, Tennessee gal? Yanno?

|
| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 7/18/2009 6:32:16 AM | | Hmmmmmmmm. Sounds like those tumbleweeds may be somehow related to the "dust bunnies" that live under my furniture. heh heh. hmmmmmmmmmmm maybe the new breed of house invaders will be tunble bunnies. THERE IS NO ESCAPE. | |

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 7/18/2009 6:57:51 AM | especially when you have two dogs in the house..........................I love them but when they are gone.............NO MORE and that includes any two legged dogs that may cross my path. | Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 7/24/2009 2:15:08 PM | I adore men, I just don't like the 'dogs'
I'm a roaming cowboy riding all day long, Tumbleweeds around me sing their lonely song. Nights underneath the prairie moon, I ride along and sing this tune.
See them tumbling down Pledging their love to the ground Lonely but free I'll be found Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
Cares of the past are behind Nowhere to go but I'll find Just where the trail will wind Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds.
I know when night has gone That a new world's born at dawn.
I'll keep rolling along Deep in my heart is a song Here on the range I belong Drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweeds

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 8/2/2009 5:19:27 AM | Auntie has come to entertain you. A friend of mine was supposed to be fixed up on a blind meet with a guy through a friend of a friend....you know how that goes. He was around 61, which to her 49, he was too old, so she thought about me...OK,I'm not dating so I agree. He calls me...I think, he sounds a bit older than that but what the hey. He mentions dinner--smart cookie that I am--I suggest coffee after work. Easy escape if things don't work--had a long day, have to go and let the dogs out. If it works-then we can decide to go on to dinner.
Pouring down rain, I go in to the meet place and see a man at a table who looks he could be a father to the photo I was shown. Nah, can't be him. I go the ladies room to dry off my feet from the rain. Come back out--must be him--no other option. I ask if he is XXX and he says yes, are you ....Yes. We get coffee and begin to chat. I am thinking rough road or lying about the age. He asked if I had children--yes 23 and 29. I ask if he has children and he says yes, a daughter 37 , he has five children and I am expecting the age to go down....and the oldest is 54. Don't bother to check my profile, I will save you the trouble...I am 58. The oldest 54 just sort of went over my head and then the light bulb went on. I said excuse me, did you say your oldest if 54? He said yes. How old do you think I am? Smart cookie said I was told you were about 61. He said how old are you...58. He replies, just the right age for me. I ask..how old are you...........75 was the answer. I said I don't mean to be rude but my dad is 79. He rolls his eyes. He asks if the age bothers me, I tell him no and that we have one thing in common.....I prefer to date younger also. I then mention that I have met several guys and they are friends and we do things together even though the dating thing did not work out. I hope he got the hint. Nice man, but too old for me........Ok...you have all had your laugh for the day.

| Tumbleweeds Blowing Through Tennessee? Posted: 8/2/2009 5:59:12 AM | Well, I'm sending you a cyber pat on the back for being the nice person you are, and foregoing the opportunity to act like a young whipper-snapper. Those opportunities don't come along every day. Blessings, Jim | |

| Bucket List Posted: 8/16/2009 11:28:45 AM | Hello everyone - It took me forever to find this and hope I get the results much needed. If anyone can help, I would surely appreciate it. As looking all through this site - I cannot find an area of help with my matter. Here goes: I've been conversing on here a bit with a gentleman named Easy Goin Maan - The last 2 times I have tried to reply to his messages I am getting "user has you blocked - try someone else". I know this is an error - or Jim would not still be messaging me & I cannot get through to him and I don't wish him to feel I am ignorant. If anyone knows this user, would you please contact him and let him know I have tried to message him back - but he has me "accidentally" blocked from doing so. Thank You Kindly, Leona | |
|
| Bucket List Posted: 8/17/2009 7:40:07 AM | Well, Easy Goin' is right above you in this thread Leona..
Betcha he'll see your post and probably unblock you. That is, I hope all is well and merely accidental. It would seem so, from what you've said here.
Its pretty easy to click that "block user" button by accident.
