I am stunned, shocked and SERIOUSLY disappointed. What did I just watch? A Flames game, or Oilers game?
I like that the Oilers are getting more physical, but HOLY!! I just watched the interview with (enter nuck numb nuts name here) and he admittedly said they were out to take out OUR top players, and we were out to do the same tonight.
When Hemsky got into fisty cuffs with so and so, I was SOOOO MAD, hoping for a Messier like player to come out and smack some heads around (HELLOOOOO STORTINI!!!) . Then I watched the replay, and HEMSKY threw the first punch!
So .... I found myself, mixed with emotion at that point... One part of me was saying "CRUSH THAT NUCK THAT STARTED THE FIGHT" ....... then after the replay I found myself saying "KICK SOME NUCKLE BUTT HEMSKY!" lol
Sigh.... I'm a mess, as you can plainly see. lol.
Hemsky starting a fight? HEMSKY?!
Far too emotional a game, but good old Garon kept his head on. Even MacT looked a little stressed tonight (that tongue flipped across his lips more than usual!) lol | |

I love their checks now though; they're doing a great job at finishing them and Brodziak and Glencross were made for each other. Holy cow those two are racking up points! I think Penner is really missing Horcoff though - he hasn't done too much since Horcs went out for sugery. There were so many good points about this game tonight as far as player toughness goes but they seemed to have lost their heads. Instead of fighting and scoring against the other team, as they did to Calgary when they played in Edmonton, they let their emotions get the best of them.

First of all, I don't dislike you. When I joke around about Calgary, the Flames or southern Alberta, I do so in a brotherly sort of way. It is an affectionate sort of teasing that I've been accustomed to from Flames and Oiler fans, but it is not personal in any way, shape or form. I enjoy the contribution of the Flames fans that post in our thread - even the trash talk. That includes you and your contributions!
Secondly, you are judging Fox based on one post, but there is a deeper history between these two that you are unware of. You are best to email Fox and ask her directly about what has transpired over the last few months and especially over the last few days. Trust me, you will understand why when she explains it to you. | |
