As for Conklin kudos for him getting back to the bigs. Still trying to figure out how he did it though lol
ME TOO!!
No one has ever ticked me off like Conklin did (referring to the game where he was behind the net, and the Carolina b!tches scored) lol

Posted: 5/4/2008 9:42:15 AM | One of the things I remember about that playoff run was that MacTavish had so little confidence in his back-up goalies that he was rotating Conklin and Markanen as the second fiddle. I remember the moment Roloson went down, we were saying at the party I was at "well, was the right guy on the bench?"

Posted: 5/4/2008 10:51:19 AM | Geez....I remember some Flamer fans laughing when Roloson was injured and to our surprise, out came Conklin. One of them was killing himself laughing and said something to the effect of, "OMG!! They're putting in Conklin!! Cue the disaster..." Well, a few minutes later...yup.
Anyway...there were three culprits involved in that goal:
1) Conklin
2) Smith
3) MacT for having Conklin as a backup...WTF!! | |

About as bad as Steve Smith scoring on Fuhr in our own net in the 80's. I was a kid and I still remember that one. The year we DIDN'T win the cup during that stretch of glory.

I'm also wishing for the Sharks to pull one more tonight and push a game 7. History could be in the making. I don't think there ever was a team that came back from an 0-3 deficit and won a series. O.o [but i'm not sure. somebody correct me if i'm wrong...] | |

My reasoning for cheering them on has more to do with a certain Flames fan (who shares my blood FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!) lol
She has been cursing the Sharks since they blew out the Flames in the playoffs..

Sorry I am rooting for Dallas though, I like Marty Turco, and Modano, and DON'T like Ron Wilson. And I really don't like San Jose fans, remember they boo'd Oh Canada when we were playing them in our last run. Yea, I'm holding a grudge... lol.

The Isles did it against Pittsburgh in the quarter-finals in 1975, then came back from a 0-3 deficit to force a Game 7 against the Flyers in the semis. | |

I watched that game holy crap almost 6 hrs I do know of the 1943 dea things and the islanders did it 75 or 76 don`t think there was a 3rd nhl team but it was sweet when the sox did it to the yankees. (Thats baseball) However I will go look it up ps hell of a goal Malkin scored. Henrik just looked stunned. One of the sweetest backhand goals I have seen in my life and I have about 30 of his rookie cards
Being a Flames fan I wanted the sharks to die. Maybe us taking them to 7 games helped but I think Dallas simply had the better goalie also the better luck but 4 ot`s I almost snoozed off | |

Posted: 5/5/2008 3:21:13 AM | Dr Strangelove did you get to watch that brutally long game I`m glad the sharks are back where they belong I can`t remember who it was on here that told me the Flames were just smashing them around in game 7 that they`d get raped next series down 3-0 the sharks put up one hell of a fight and this could gone to a game 7 I think San Jose scored that goal but the refs rule is final and the series over I think they got screwed and I am happy with that
As cor coming back 0-3 it was either the 75 or 76 islanders and also in Baseball my Boston redsox vs the Yankees to kill the curse oh yeah don`t forget what the red wings did in 43 just picture it stanley cup finals you are up 3-0 and you screw it up detroit did it.
I want Dallas and the Pens in the final game 7 all the way now that all our canadian teams are gone Part of me wants to see Dallas win and part I would love to see Sid holding the cup don`t want the wings or the flyers winning it.
Most folk in edm hate dallas and don`t want them to win so cheer for Croz
and the Burgh | |
