One of the fish was in at the weekend and commented to one of our bar staff asking her if she was looking forward to the fish party on Friday....................sorry about her response to you..we have not advertised the pof night or in fact told the staff..the reason being we dont want any stigma attached to this night...........and would like this night to run as normal as possible apart from our programme which has been slightly shuffled to accomodate pof...................................................+
Once again on the night you all will just be reffered to as FISH!!!!!!!!! | |

If we saw Friday as being anything else but a meeting point for friends and fish do you think we would be putting so much effort into this?

Theres plenty of singles in Madness every night off the week,they just are not known as fishes!!
I don't think that theres any stigma attached to single people and I think that perhaps the wrong choice of word has been used here.
We are a great bunch of people who all know how to enjoy themselves and will bring you great business on the night!!!

Posted: 3/25/2008 3:36:52 AM | Madness, I know what you mean about 'stigma' and if all you fish remember back to the very first meet there was a lot of stigma before everyone got to know each other, even down to the fact that some people didn't want to wear badges. And for some even now, although they want to be there they don't really want it to be known that they are on a dating site (especially if they meet someone they know) so while it doesn't bother us that we are all FISH I think we should have some respect for the people who are not.
Madness have gone all out to make this a FISH night to remember with the seating and buffet upstairs, not to mention BLIND DATE and FANCY DRESS and whatever else they have in store for us. Roll on Friday night!  | |
