| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/18/2008 4:06:22 PM | The Maltman meet had over 400 signed up on the final count, out of which 150-200 turned up. Upstairs at Madness holds 150 seated but not everyone will want to be seated, plus there is ample room downstairs also so at least all the fish will be in the same boat on the night and not going between 2 pubs. Big apology to Marykate for last time and I hope the fish who had a ball at the Maltman convince her to give it another try | |

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/19/2008 6:13:01 AM | Scrummy,
No need to apologise as it wasn't your fault. Due to working late I headed straight for Madness because I knew The Maltman would be packed. To be fair Madness had a great atmosphere it's just that my nerve got the better of me because I didn't see a school of fish (there's an idea for dressing up!) and started to flounder.

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/20/2008 11:05:18 AM | Yes newboy, we have seating arrangements for 150 upstairs, and Madness doesn't start to get busy until after the pubs have closed so from early evening we will have loads of room for all the fish, even if 400 were to turn up on the night.

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/20/2008 11:32:31 AM | Hi Folks Madness here just a confirmation note to all the fishes attending the March meet. Our mezzanine area has been totally reserved for all fishes ground level on a Friday is a slow build up ie usually around 11pm before it starts to get busier. Madness Theatre of Fun is looking forward to welcoming the ocean of fishes arriving for the meet and if you think about it logically if all the fishes attend and before 9pm then it will be just about 100% fish in our venue and all free entry and opened untill 3am!!
N ow for talking sake once our capacity and numbers have been reached on the night then our management team and security will limit the door entry in to a 2 out 2 in basis!!
We hope you all have a super evening in our theatre of fun,on the night our compere is Stevie Wonderfull and we have already spoke to him regarding this meet his suggestions is that we turn the volume down appropriately {lets the fish converse easier} also on the night he is just going to use the phrase fish to identify yourselves,{as we feel by using the word dating or singles carries a un welcome stigma?}He also suggests now this one is open for you guys to vote on!! A stage version of Blind date this should raise a few laughs so please all you fish vote for this and let us know if you fancy this gameshow??
Once again folks if you have any concerns with the venue dont hesitate to call and ask for duty manager ps. Earlier one of our pr team mentioned that disabled access could be given upstairs that is in fact wrong disabled facilities are ONLY available on GROUND level!
WE FEEL THAT THIS NIGHT WILL BE A TAKEOVER BY THE FISH AND WE WELCOME THE CATCH!!!

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/20/2008 1:58:48 PM | A massive big thankyou once again to the team at Madness for the effort they are putting in to our BIG FISH MEET. The blind date game is a brilliant idea, and the offer of turning the music down a little for people to chat is great also.
Roll on 28th March folks, lets get a good turn out for this great fish night in Madness.

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/20/2008 2:14:40 PM | Madness are doing great with their great offers. The Blind Date game sounds fantastic but can I take part in case they're going to offer prizes of...
a) A week in Barbados b) A sunshine cruise around the Bahamas c) Time out in Hawaii
I don't even mind if my date is an old trout...I'll throw him back into the water!

Im not clear on wat they mean as they have given us uperfloor . i no we can take it over later the lower floor . but id hope we can mingle with or fellow fishes with mobility disabilitys . linda

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/21/2008 4:53:59 AM | "Madness Theatre of Fun is looking forward to welcoming the ocean of fishes arriving for the meet and if you think about it logically if all the fishes attend and before 9pm then it will be just about 100% fish in our venue and all free entry and opened untill 3am!! "
I think what this means Linda is that we will most likely be taking over the whole club upstairs and down because Madness doesn't usually start to get busy until about 11pm, and especially if we get 200+ like last time then of course there will be fish on both levels, and myself and the hosts will also be mingling on both floors just to check that nobody is standing about on their own. It will be easier than in the Maltman as it's much bigger and won't be shoulder to shoulder.

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/21/2008 6:19:30 AM | Yes, I think you may be right Lindayloo, was apprehensive about the Madness meet at the start because unsure of how many people would actually want to go (seeing as it isn't to everyones taste) but once again the feedback has been amazing. Madness are doing everything they can to ensure that the fish have a great time (and of course to make sure we come back again lol) Just want to apologise to the people who wanted something quieter, it looks like the majority want to 'party' Bigyiin you have luckylou40 to thank for finding the Travelodge £19 a room, excellent for the people who don't want to leave to catch last trains etc, and for that price don't think there will be many at the train station that night! Yes Linda, should be a blast like last time, and at the end of the day the venue doesn't really matter, if people just make sure they go with the intention of having fun then everyone will enjoy themselves. | |

| March Madness! 3rd Glasgow meet, Friday, 28th March 2008 Posted: 2/21/2008 11:10:17 AM | Apparently there are no £19 rooms left at the Travelodge in Hill Street, if you go to the Travelodge, Paisley Road there is a family room that sleeps 3 adults for £19 per person. This is 1.6 miles from Madness | |
