A team that got swept.

Personally, as I predicted, I thought Boston would win a couple games...but Boston's reign over the Angels is over.

Yah. Unbelievable. 1 strike away from taking game three and prolonging the series.
Ah well. Even my friends on FB didn't get any of their predictions right. Surprising results so far.

Broncsbuff - first you post -

Saturday night at 8...forecast for Denver?...a high of 45, light drizzle and COLD...ha ha..
playoff baseball in Denver...gotta love it..

and den -

No baseball in Colorado tonight...I guess 20 degree weather and snowing has something to do with it.....WIMPS!!!..haha

and now it's -

It also pisses me off that the game got started at 8pm local time. People out there freezing there ass off. I know it was all for tv cause the red sox and yankees went earlier. Still...an 8pm start local time was a complete joke. Baseball has NO respect for fans at all...rant over...

just who are these WIMPS!!! hahaha you speak of anyway ?

Well, at least there is one series still going so at least one more game until the next round.

Bronc, you know very well the reason the Rox/Phils got the butt end of the schedule.......neither team is the Yankees, they got the prime slot all the way through.

Didn't even matter that the Phillies are the reigning champs.

That doesn't surprise me. There hasn't been a repeat champion since the Yankees of the late 90s/2000 and no National League team has repeated since the Cincinnati Reds of the 1970s aka "The Big Red Machine". So much for dynastys in baseball.

Hawaiianluau....

I just dont understand why they postponed sat night game, when sunday it was just as cold. Sat night game was slotted for a 6pm start.

sunday nights game lasted well into midnight local time. It was fricking cold last night. It was actually a well played game. If I recall, there were no errors last night..pretty impressive.

Then to top it off, todays start is 4pm local time...no big deal. The problem I have is they didnt announce it till the angels and yankees clinched. So people trying to make plans(remember game three tickets had to be used for today..game 4)...didnt know until about 16 hours before game time.

Good luck tonight.
This is actually the one series that I like both teams going to the next level.
I'll be rooting against you though when the Dodgers come to town.
Should be a good game or 2 until then.

Go Angels.

blondblueyed,

Its no secret that walks are not good. He had utley down to his last strike and lost him. Ryan Howard coming up with two on was just playing with fire. Walks cost us last night also...

I really wish DeLarossa was availble, might have been a different series.

I really hate the Dodgers, so I will be rooting for the phillies. Im also rooting for the Angels....

Actually, I think it came unglued in the Rollins at bat, when Street had him 0-2 then threw 3 balls in a row and not being able to turn the DP which...... then led to the Utley at bat and .....then of course kerflooey!

Kind of a cross between Street struggling but Rollins and Utley battling.I personally think it was one of the best games of the entire first round. Rockies fans (maybe Yankees and Angels fans also) may disagree.

I don't know which one was more sorrowful looking though Street or Torrealba.

I am thinking the Phils aren't going to have as easy go of it with the Dodgers this time, but funny things happen in the post season and of course I will be rooting for the Angels.

It seems Huston Street doesn't have the best of luck in the postseason...in 2006, he gave up a 3-run walk off home run to Magglio Ordonez to send the Tigers to the World Series.

That Gonzalez got on my nerves all series. I admired the way he playedm he is going to be aan All Star for a long time.Give the centerfielder credit for his hurdlr over Utley. It was called right by the rules because he did not touch Utly. It should become interferance in the future. If Utley stood up both players would have been injured.I was sitting on the edge of my bed with my bottle of nitro besides me.

congrats yeswho. Jason Werth is a rockies killer. I thought we were going back to Philly, but your big bopper in Howard came through...

I hate the Dodgers, so I will be rooting for philly.

Im glad you took notice of Carlos Gonzalez. This guy will be in many all star games in the future. He can hit, has speed, a rocket arm, can play any position in the outfield, has all the tools.

That trade for Holliday turned out to be pretty good. Street failed last night, but overall he was huge for us this year....

That was awesome!!

I was screaming when Victorino over ran third base and Utley was bookin’ around second…Shane had to touch and go home, Utley in his heels. Great play!

I was quite impressed with Gonzalez myself and I was even doing the Tulo chant. Love the guy behind home plate in the Rockies jacket with the red hat on upside down …….great stuff!

Is it Thursday yet?

One play that stood out to me was when Francisco was put in for Ibanez in right field who booted one the inning before but it didn't cost them anything ala Matt Holliday. Just in time for the possible catch of the post season so far.

LA vs. Philly. The rematch. Should be good.

I'll wait and see if any more of my faux predictions come true.

I'm glad this series starts on Thursday becaues I need a couple daye to get my heart to beat in rythem. Thanks Brocsbuff I did like the way Gonzalez plays the game. It seemed at key moments of the game he was up to bat. I also think he will start to hit more HRS. the longer he plays. I can't believe how strong his arm is.

Okay, so maybe the Phills aren't going to have such a hard time. I really thought the Dodgers were going to hold them tonight.

Except for the blow out on Sunday night these games have been great!

^^^^ Me, too.

Not that it made an difference on the outcome, but both Posada and Cano were out.

It doesn't matter who had the right to the bag, if no one is touching a base and they get tagged while play is in effect they are OUT!!!

Been quite a few more blown calls this post season for both sides though.
