Congrats to all Ranger fans, well deserved.
I officially eat crow, thought the yankees would win....
I suck!!!! | |

| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/22/2010 8:26:37 PM | From a true Yankee fan!!!!........i wish to congratulate the rangers & their TRUE fans (not the band-wagoneers or the cheap haters!) on a superb series and well deserved win!
Now that you have beaten 2 helluva teams in the AL (yanks & rays)....you have the proud opportunity to represent the "AL" in the WS..........you deserve to be there, BUT do not get "big-headed"and take your opponents lightly...do yourselves and the AL some honor...and win it all!
Best of luck! | |

| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/22/2010 8:40:03 PM | What a waste of $214 million dollars. Can you imagine how much booze, roids and how many hookers $214 million can buy? Hope they used this money in NY and on NY hookers, if not, all New Yorkers are pure suckers.
if anybody can comeback its the Yanks, hell the Bsx could comeback and beat the yanks 4 straight in 2004, the yanks could do it as well!
Pal, it takes hearts not money to win a series from 3-0 deficit. Curt Schilling's bloodsoaked socks should be in Smithsonians.
Thanks God, now I can enjoy the 2010 WS.

What a waste of $214 million dollars.
really pal?........we at least made the play-off into the AL finals........what did the Bsx do, having "wasted" better than $ 80 million in 1 off season alone!
Can you imagine how much booze, roids and how many hookers $214 million can buy?
Only you (and your cohorts) would know the answer to this........as the yanks will only endeavor to do whatever is necessary to improve the team next season.....Pssst, can you say: Cliff Lee!
now I can enjoy the 2010 WS.
We've been there well over 27 times!...........so go and enjoy it like a "wannabe" fan of whatever team you choose............but as you see cliff lee, just dress him in 'pinstripes'....cause that's what you are gonna be dealing with next season...............Pal!
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/22/2010 9:37:46 PM | pete im surprised nobody corrected me, it should be over 215 mill. yea seems like i heard that too, maybe thats what it was at the time.
sum1reel, finally arod has helped the rangers get into a world series. 27 times is alot of times too bad not 28 and i dont see 28 next year either. i dont think lee would leave a world series team do you? he turned down a yankee offer this year and came to the rangers.
just in case he does i live for the moment
YEA RANGERS WE KICKED THE YANKEES IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/22/2010 10:18:22 PM |
27 times is alot of times too bad not 28 and i dont see 28 next year either.
It took the Yanks 9 years to go from 26 WS to the 27th.......and we had lots of playoff appearances in between........Yanks will always be in the "running"....like money in a solid bank!...we'll be there!
i dont think lee would leave a world series team do you?
well, you can ask him this question IF he wins one (in Tx).
he turned down a yankee offer this year and came to the rangers.
I don't think it was Lee's own decision........seatle got what they thought was a better deal from Texas, then the Yanks...............as a free agent, Lee could be offered as much as $170 million over 5yrs, by the Yanks........if Lee refuses that, then all you Tx fans should drop down on your knees and give thanks for this "small" miracle!
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/23/2010 8:13:27 AM | Congrats HD and all other Rangers fans! Your first time in the Fall Classic! Enjoy it to the fullest! | |
|
| |
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/25/2010 2:09:34 AM | small miracle?
the rangers have always been overshawdowed by the cowboys, not anymore.
we feel relived pete finally getting into the ws. should be a good series with the giants pitching, rangers hitting and the earlier starts.
the first ws for giants since coming over from ny.
GO RANGERS | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/25/2010 7:31:15 AM | | Nice to see two new teams in the series. Actually hdready the SF Giants were in the 2002 series with the Angels | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/26/2010 5:48:12 AM | Let's see... Chuck Norris or Arnold Schwarzenegger? Looks like Chuck Norris is better this year. They beat the NY donkeys.
But like to see Cody guy (giants) hit a few home runs. Hope it goes to 7 games.
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/26/2010 5:57:04 AM | HD, is there any truth to the rumor that GM Nolan Ryan will be added to the World Series roster for emergency pitching duty? | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/26/2010 12:55:56 PM | ^^^^ Dave Righetti, the first player in history to both pitch a no-hitter and also lead the league in saves is already in the dugout for the Giants as pitching coach. Funny thing he was drafted by the Rangers. He threw the first Yankee no - hitter since Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series, then of course went on to be the great closer. | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/26/2010 7:23:50 PM | i remember righetti just another one of those players let go and done well. cmd thanks for the correction. we are glad to play giants.
sum1 reel you still think the yankees will sign lee? lee in the world series tomorrow night with the texas rangers. if you cant beat him buy him hahahaha
pete im surprised that they havent already used him
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/27/2010 5:37:11 AM |
I gotta give it to Cliff Lee.........he is the top clutch performer in MLB...virtually guaranteed to come thru with a win!
I can't wait to see him in Pin Stripes next year!!!!
While Cliff Lee's wife Kristen sat in the visiting Family's section of Yankee Stadium when the Rangers faced the Yankees during the ALCS she was taunted with obscenities droused with cups of beer thrown at her and even spit on from yankee fans from the section above her. For an extra 50 million I think she could forget about all that happpened to her if not I don't see Cliff Lee wearing pin stripes next year.
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/27/2010 6:43:21 AM | ^ from Cliff Lee's camp...... it was already stated that this incident won't have an impact either way on his decision. | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/27/2010 11:52:34 PM | | Cliff Lee's stock dropped like a rock!..............got lit up early in the game....looked more like Roy halladay did for the Phils.........................that was a bad loss for him in game 1. | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/28/2010 5:08:11 AM | Texas was still able to get some hits and score some runs on SF closures. They also come back from a 1-0 deficit against NY. | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/28/2010 6:17:25 AM | Giants are giant killer. First Halladay, now Lee. I always love to see Goliaths fall to Davids.
What about that hippie-looking giant's opening pictcher? I have no idea how he keeps winning, he doesn't seem to be a good confident pitcher. Ya ya, I know, Cy young winner.
If the Rangers lose the next game, we can prepare for their funerals.
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/28/2010 8:01:17 AM | the yankees are scared of cliff lee, they still will try and pay top dollar for him. the giants may own cliff lee but the yankees dont
GO RANGERS | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/28/2010 8:27:00 AM | ^ Yanks ain't scared of lee..........they faced him in 2009, and won in spite of him! Yanks are their own worst enemies, ...they keep making bad moves in the off-season!
Lee is marketed as a clutch post-season performer........he is NOT spectacular in the regular season!........................if he can't get a pivotal win in the playoffs, then he's just another "joe-shmoe"...................he was awful in the opener,....he reminded me of AJ Burnet ( Yanks' pitcher).
Unfortunately, the Yanks are gonna offer him big-bucks...as they did to Burnett, and i hope they don't end up getting burned again!
The real player the Yanks should be trying to get is Tim Lincecum (by way of trades), he's young, brash, and can only get better!..........but i doubt the giants will part with him!
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/29/2010 3:07:12 PM | Texas was still able to get some hits and score some runs on SF closures. That was when the score was 11 to 3 and the relievers had absolutely nothing to lose in going right after any and all batters. Right now it's looking as if the Giants and their gang of misfits own the title. | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/29/2010 5:15:35 PM | sum1reel ----> Yanks ain't scared of lee
you may want to check the ny newspaper when the rangers were in town.
the giants have a nice stadium very impressed with it. people smoke weed in the open there. a ranger tv reporter on air said there were people smoking 40 ft from him. has to be tuff on somebody like josh hamilton. fans smoking it during the game and nothing be done! that just does not happen here and it certainly would disrupt anybody's concentration.
to the game at hand, you cant win unless you score and pitch. but that to you have to be a professional and not let anyone bother you. one of the worst shellacking ive seen in baseball. too bad it had to be in a world series.
rangers should rebound, it be nice to take the next 3 at home.
LETS GO RANGERS | |
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/29/2010 6:03:40 PM | Fat lady is getting ready or has she already started singing?
Rangers were not just defeated but were humiliated in game 1 and 2. That has proved again this year Yankees were not good at all. Let the donkeys get Lee and Halladay, who cares, they'll be wild card or lower again in 2011.
SF giants surprised me. Their batters can connect with the ball again and again sending it to the foul area. That can make any pitcher tired . I'll give one game to the Rangers at home.
|
| This Week In Baseball Posted: 10/29/2010 11:22:50 PM | rangers fans have waited along time for a world series. the first two games were played just like the 72 and 73 ranger teams, both lost 100 games. 72 being the first year of existence. so all there is in getting to a world series is winning a couple playoff series? geez how simple is that.
tuff to watch thursdays 8th inning. alot of brokenhearted ranger fans out there. 15 fans showed up at the airport last night to welcome the rangers home and none were smoking a joint.
tonight colby lewis starts for rangers he was 2 and 0 against the yanks
